The reason why people have stopped talking about that hemp stuff is because everyone has found it acceptable. Moderator, if one even shows up, the only real option is to bring in someone from the outside, someone who isn't active on this subforum. The reason is quite simple: right now, there isn't a single high-quality member here capable of handling it. For instance, a certain person comes to mind who moderates an alternative group and seems okay at first glance, but it would be tasteless of me to name names right now.
As far as the currently active members go, everyone is biased. That goes for the members active in the Alternative Medicine and On the Edge of Science subforums; as for the rest, I couldn't say.

Well, people die from chemotherapy too (certainly not from fruit), so the moderators on the Health PDF are also "biased" and won't allow anything related to alternative medicine there, forcing people to move to the Alternative section instead. Same thing happens in Natural Sciences. Personally, I think that's fine.

I think, purely for the sake of fairness, the Alternative PDF should receive equal treatment. If it were run the way you’re suggesting, what would anyone even be allowed to write in Alternative? Hemp oil? Since doctors prescribe that now, it isn't even "alternative" anymore—so that would be it?

Look, I get it—finding a moderator is a nightmare these days. It’s getting harder to find anyone willing to work for a standard American salary, let alone deal with this. And even if someone actually has the spare time to volunteer, they’re probably going to pick something that looks better on a resume—at least that's my take. Maybe others don't see it that way, but it’s obvious to me why more and more sub-forums are being left completely unmoderated.

But honestly? That's no excuse. You can't just let slimy, vulgar garbage be posted all over the Forum without any pushback from the people in charge. This stuff is showing up in PDFs and threads that are being read by seriously ill people—people who have absolutely nothing to do with LJES.

I am making this post simply so the community can see how vulgar, unjust, and unprofessional you are, and to demonstrate that your rules clearly don't apply to everyone. Though, frankly, people coming over from other sites already knew that.

Hey, my CRP came back at 15.7—the lab says the normal range is under 5.
Everything else looks totally fine according to the reference numbers.
My doctor sent me off to get more detailed testing done to check my folate, B12, and Vitamin D levels.
Now I’m stuck reading online about how an elevated CRP can point to all sorts of different things.
I originally went to see her because of a sore throat.
I honestly have no clue why she's focusing on those specific vitamins instead of addressing the other possibilities.
Is this level high enough to signal something serious, or am I overthinking a number that isn't actually that big of a deal?
