I remember when I tried taking some photos with a flash and ended up with those weird red streaks everywhere. It’s kind of like how people's eyes look darker on a cloudy day in Seattle but suddenly brighten up once the sun hits them. It isn't actually changing your eye color; it's just the lighting. If you shine a blue light on something, it looks blue. Point a red one at it, and it looks red. Simple physics, really.

Sure, you could try to push them out or roll in with the military, whatever...

I just used some Vaseline to fix that issue.
Lower back pain/Lordosis help? in Health ·
Usually, lower back lordosis just ends up compensating for whatever kyphosis is going on up top...

Michael Torres80 said:I'm heading to the doctor in a few days because I've been seeing blood in my stool for quite a while now... Back when my diet was pretty bad, it was just on the toilet paper, but now it's actually in the stool itself. Today, when I went to the bathroom, it hurt really badly and there were streaks of blood in the stool... I'm honestly terrified it might be stage 4 and that I'll need surgery..
Can anyone tell me what an exam for hemorrhoids is actually like? And does it hurt?

My issue is that whenever I have a harder bowel movement, the blood shows up right then.
But I don't get why it's appearing in the stool now instead of just on the paper??

Back before I started hitting the gym, and when I wasn't eating much fiber, I used to see blood on the paper all the time... I haven't had any blood on the paper for about two years, but now it's showing up in the stool, so I'm just confused.

You've got internal hemorrhoids..
Just needs a little tweak to look like this:

I’m 45 now, and for about 15 years, I’ve stuck to a habit that might strike some people as a little weird.
Whether it’s the middle of summer or freezing winter like it is right now, I take a cold shower every single night before bed—always, unless I’m digging in the garden or feeling under the weather.

So, just thought I'd brag for a second...

Kidding. In all seriousness, though, do you guys think this is actually healthy, or am I just being eccentric? Personally, I can’t even function or fall asleep without it. As soon as I'm done, I sleep like a baby. I make sure to wash my hair and everything, usually for at least a few minutes.

Anyone else out there doing something similar?
Shoulder bursitis: Is it a sports injury? in Health ·
Once you’ve spent a few months consistently working on your rotator cuff exercises, you should probably start layering in some work for the anterior, lateral, and posterior heads of the deltoid. From what I’ve seen, the rear delt is usually the weak link in most people's shoulder stability. In my experience, if you aren't putting extra emphasis on those rear delt movements, you're missing a step.

Bradley Diaz said:Okay, but what kind of exercises are we talking about?
Like, can I use dumbbells or maybe some resistance bands to try and sort this out?

Both. You really need to focus on hitting those deep rotator cuff muscles first. They’re the ones that actually control how your humerus sits in the shoulder socket.

Just look up some rotator cuff routines online. There are tons of videos out there that break down exactly how to train those tiny but vital little muscles.
It’s pretty likely that something in your shoulder socket isn't sitting quite right, probably a lingering result of those falls you mentioned.
Bursitis usually happens because of those kinds of misalignments. Honestly, the only real way out is consistent physical therapy to gradually get everything back in its proper place.
Who actually gave you that bursitis diagnosis?

Cut the nonsense. Just drink some water when you're thirsty.

I kid you not, whether you believe me or not, my issues totally vanished once I started using Vaseline. I began coating the toilet paper with it before wiping.
That’s just my routine now, and I haven't dealt with any more stinging or bleeding since I started.

Whenever I'm dehydrated or just feeling off, I can tell my stool is going to be a bit harder. I just apply some Vaseline right before things happen, and that does the trick.

Larry Collins19 said:Warming up? Sure. It helps prevent injury. But doing static stretching before you lift? Not a good idea. It kills your muscle output—I think it drops power by about 30% or something.

That myth has been busted. It’s true that a statically stretched muscle can't hit full contraction right away, but that only lasts for a few minutes until things settle back down.

Basically, static stretching is for relaxing and resetting, which helps with that mind-muscle connection, not for prepping for heavy lifting.

Stick to dynamic stretching to warm up, then wrap up your workout with some moderate static stretching.

Some days I just can't be bothered to even get warmed up, but then I'll go ahead and hit the bench with 70 pounds on the bar anyway...
