: a smiley face making a dignified, slightly dramatic exit from the room because they're taking the high road after such a lethal insult :
: a smiley face saying— In love and war... So, zero fighting spirit? You're surrendering after the very first skirmish, huh? 😢 😁 Yeah, alright, I admit I was being a little harsh. But according to the latest rumors, Henry's marriage is hitting a major rough patch, and word is a divorce is imminent. Don't lose hope just yet. : eating popcorn : 😘 😁 :
You said we were going to start agreeing on things. Clearly, that was a lie. Consider us officially at war!
: *throws a glove right in their face, turns dramatically, and storms off* : 😁
Unbelievable. And here I was, thinking we actually agreed on something in another thread without seeing this mess. 😁 : *picks up the glove and points out that Henry Rollins has a wife and kids* : 😁
🙏 🙏 . I actually saved your post to my desktop, so I'll see what comes of it. I'm taking it slow—maybe just two episodes a month. In the meantime, check your PMs. 😁
It's a good movie, but it doesn't hold up on a second viewing. The style completely overshadows the substance. It’s visually stunning, and I definitely agree with Sandra King86 😲 😁, but beyond admiring the sheer color palette, I didn't feel much else. The Chinese characters fly around, walk on water, and suffer through tragic romances. A bit of déjà vu, anyone?😁
Feel free to drop some recommendations. 😉 Dragon Ball is fantastic to me. Mostly because of the humor, the wacky characters, and those edgy jokes. 😬 Dragon Ball Z is okay too, but it misses that sense of humor and character depth. Everything just boils down to: a super strong villain shows up, beats up Goku, he goes off to train, comes back, destroys the villain, and accidentally wrecks half the planet in the process—repeat. 😁 I only watched two episodes of GT and it just wasn't my thing.

If you're talking about Dragon Ball Z.
If you're talking about the original Dragon Ball, then it's incredibly hard—almost impossible—to find. [/B]
I was thinking of Dragon Ball. All I could find were American dubs (and not even good ones—just poorly synced voiceovers, not actual subtitles). Same with Dragon Ball Z. Just American dubbing. Where did you download yours from?
I haven't watched a ton of anime... I actually found Akira, The Matrix, and Alice in Wonderland a bit dull—especially Alice in Wonderland, which was the first time in my life I actually wanted to walk out of a movie theater. Now, Ninja Assassin? That was good. I recently downloaded Rurouni Kenshin, so I really need to give that a watch. But for a newcomer like me, the absolute peak of the genre has to be Dragon Ball Z. It’s such a shame you can't find versions online with the original Japanese audio; the American dub completely ruins the vibe for me.
Sometimes she sounds great to me, and I can really get into it. But then there are those days where I just can't bring myself to try. She's definitely an acquired taste, I agree. She’s at her best when she’s collaborating with DJ Gilles Peterson.😁
You missed my point... It used to be that you’d automatically subscribe to a thread the second you joined it. That’s not how it works anymore. Does anyone know where I can change my settings to get it back to the way it was?
Where can I find the setting to automatically subscribe to any thread I reply to? I've been looking everywhere, but I just can't seem to find that option.
Sandra King86 said:To prepare for this movie properly, I should probably just read the book first. But let me tell you right now, the absolute best characters and scenes aren't even in the film. 😢
1. Dark City 2. Alien 3. The Matrix 4. Independence Day 5. That old Star Trek movie where they have to save Earth with a probe 😁—I think that's actually the fourth one in the series
I just got into a heated argument with my parents and my sister. It wasn't even about anything specific... but after cooling off, I realized they actually have a point. Then I thought about it some more and realized my sister is right, too. Of course, I still believe I'm right. Every side has arguments that feel equally heavy and valid. Some might be speculative, while others are 😁 solid—but you can defend any position if you believe it's the truth. If you simply pile up enough points, you’ll "win." Even if that doesn't mean you're actually correct; nobody can ever truly know every single fact. Whether a stance is "right" often just comes down to how skilled and knowledgeable the person arguing is.
Take a random political debate, for example. I've heard dozens of reasons why Ronald Reagan should have intervened in the USA, and just as many reasons why he shouldn't have. But was it the right move? No one knows all the facts or the true balance of power at the time, so we can't say for sure.
So, having realized this, I want to ask you all: How do you vigorously defend a position, say, online, when you realize the only reason you end up looking "right" is because your Google search results are better than the person you're arguing with? Doesn't every "argument" just boil down to a clash of skill and form? Is there no actual right and wrong?
