Not the stretchy spandex kind. Curvier women need firmer fabrics. I honestly don't get why they even bother making those elastic dresses in the first place🙂.

puberty, when does it ever actually end? 🙂🙂

My daughter is 17 now, just stays cooped up inside—which isn't great either, let's be real—but man, her attitude is killing me. Stubborn, thinks she knows everything, holds a grudge like it’s a full-time job, and sets these massive life goals when she hasn't even figured out how to walk straight yet. To her, we’re just those annoying neighbors living in the same house. She’s basically counting down the days until she hits 18 so she can bail and find some place where she doesn't have to look at us.

Then there’s my son. He finished vocational school two years ago and he's still just hanging around the house, hitting up unemployment offices and sending out resumes, but it’s a total wash. They don't even bother calling him back to say "no thanks," they just ghost him. He doesn't go anywhere, just lives on his computer and sleeps, though he does help out with the cleaning and both kids make sure the dog gets walked.

I raised them both pretty much the same way, no real distinction, and with him, you wouldn't even know puberty happened unless you counted the pimples, which cleared up fast. But with her? It's a whole different beast.
With him, I didn't even realize adolescence was a thing, except for the skin stuff, but with her, it's constant.
She asks for advice, but if I give it, I'm "stupid." If I tell her what I think, I'm "too passive." She throws me off balance instantly, and then I end up yelling, and then suddenly *I'm* the one who's wrong again. 🙂

I ended up with a solution—can't recall the name—but it came in a plastic bottle, similar to rubbing alcohol.
We applied it with cotton pads morning and night... it helped quite a bit.

Same here. Told my folks the same thing—both of them have totally clear skin now.😍

I’d suggest seeing a specialist first, then maybe chat with them about checking out the Center for Creative Leadership. I know plenty of people are skeptical about that method, but if it's medically indicated and your neurosurgeon gives you the green light, it might be worth a shot.

Can someone tell me what they charge there? I’m guessing it’s all private pay, right?
I've been reading up on them and they seem legit. Where exactly in Washington, D.C. are they located?🙂☕

Ronald Green31 said:Look, it’s pretty obvious the disc is pressing on a nerve—the fact that you're feeling pain radiating down your left leg says it all. It sounds like an L5-S1 issue to me.
I'm not sure where you're at in the process right now, but if I were you, I'd go see a specialist and maybe try some physical therapy for about three or four weeks.

I'm already doing PT but nothing's working, zero progress. And don't even get me started on the MRI—it just makes everything way worse after. The pain is basically constant now, I can't even put weight on my knee properly. Does anyone know which exercises are actually safe to do without making this whole situation a total disaster?😢
Dealing with lower back pain in Health ·
Looking at the axial slices in T1 and T2, you can see this circular bulging of the annulus fibrosus happening right around the L4 and L5 levels.
Then down at L5-S1, the disc is basically just breaking down, and there’s some narrowing in the space caused by a circular, lamellar disc protrusion that's leaning just a bit more to the left.

The disc drifted left and ended up in the gutter, but honestly? It still hasn't gotten under my skin.😢

Bad news, the results are pretty lousy😢(seriously, is there really nobody else out there dealing with this same mess?
Dealing with lower back pain in Health ·
I’ve been dealing with this constant, nagging pain in my lower left hip for ages now, and it just keeps radiating all the way down my left leg. I already went in for an MRI on my lumbar spine, but I’m still stuck waiting on those results. Honestly? None of the treatments they've thrown at me seem to be doing squat.
Is anyone else out there dealing with this same nightmare? And more importantly, how are you guys actually managing to dull the pain without just popping pills all day long?😉☕

And please, for the love of god, don't send me some sour-faced jerk. I can't deal with a doctor who treats me like a nuisance.

Also, I was wondering—if I’ve got a referral from Medicare, where’s actually the best place to go for physical therapy?

And I'm out here hunting for a rheumatologist too. Seriously. 🤣

Thanks in advance! 🙂

Honestly, if you end up at the trauma center, the physical therapy there is actually solid. Plus, you won't be fighting through a massive crowd just to get seen. It’s surprisingly chill.

Aaron Wood7 said:Hey everyone,
my mom hasn't been doing great lately. She’s been retired for a while now—just hit 60—so she spends basically all day just stuck inside the house.

Lately, she's been super high-strung. Constantly cleaning, manic scrubbing everything in sight (she doesn't even have any hobbies or anything), and she's always picking fights with the rest of us if she gets the chance.

It really blew up this week and ended with her blood pressure spiking (doctor said it was pure stress) and some bleeding, so she ended up in the ER.

I'd really appreciate any advice on how to handle this because she's just completely lost herself. Does anyone know a decent psychiatrist who could at least talk to her or maybe put her on some kind of therapy? Also, does anyone know what the hourly rate for a session usually runs?

Has anyone gone through something similar? It would mean a lot.
Thanks in advance🙂

Look, for everything you just described, you should probably let her doctor handle it. Ask them to write a prescription for
Sonalia tablets 50mg—it helps with calming down and boosting mood. Just one pill a day will settle her down and make her more cheerful. She might sleep an extra hour or so at first, but she'll get over that. Honestly, psychiatrists don't do much anyway. And she needs to get out of the house if she's mobile enough; if nothing else, she should just go sit in a park where there are people around.😉

But whatever, that’s a problem for future me. Anyway, I went to see my doctor. She checked out my leg and gave me some heavy-duty cream for this red patch, some Heparin gel for the rest of my lower leg and foot—basically everything that's swollen. Plus, she put me on Klavix, an antibiotic, and some Aspirin plus C... and I've gotta go back for a follow-up in 7 days. Honestly, I was shocked because I totally expected her to refer me to a specialist... I mean, I knew things might get better eventually, but... the whole thing just feels ridiculous
I can't remember the exact diagnosis right now, but she mentioned blood clots and inflamed veins... or capillaries... something like that...
Aspirin plus C is basically what you take to break up a clot.
and man... people...😕🤷

Just keep slathering that cream on and we'll see. If it really is an inflamed vein, you might end up needing surgery, and trust me, that's a massive pain in the ass🤷

vividrider47 said:Look, I said it myself. But honestly? I still hold them partially responsible. Just a little bit, sure, but they’re still on the hook.

If you don't think they're up to snuff, just ditch that doctor and find a new hospital. Seriously, don't mess around—your health is everything. And if you're stressing about how you're gonna pay the bills, trust me, life has a way of forcing you to suck it up and deal with it. I had knee surgery once and now I've been stuck waiting for a second procedure for six months... I've been out on disability for a whole year already and let me tell you, it's rough. My cartilage is shot and it's just not healing, no matter what.😉

I’m about to start working soon, and if I can't actually pull it off—if I end up back in the hospital circuit instead—how am I even supposed to pay the bills? 😢

Anyway, I'm hitting up my doctor this Monday to see what she thinks. Look, I'm not stupid. I'm just worried. And honestly, who can blame me? I had six years to get my act together. (If you ignore all the paranoia and the rage... not to mention my mom getting Alzheimer's back then, which made my own health feel pretty much irrelevant)

Thanks for the advice 🙂

You can't pin this on doctors when you were the one neglecting yourself6 years😲Your health comes first, period. Everything else is secondary.,,forget the job if you can't even stand on your own two feet; if you're broken, you aren't helping yourself or anyone else you're working for.☕

Look, if you’re hanging around New York City, just get your ass over to the trauma center for a full workup. If you aren't, go to any hospital and have them run everything again. Seriously. How much pain are we talking about here? And how long has this been going on?🤷

😉Look, here’s an old-school remedy I’ve used a million times and it actually works. Just warm up some Vaseline or chamomile in a bit of oil. Once it’s lukewarm, soak a rag in it, slap that on your chest, and just pass out. You’ll wake up feeling way better in the morning, trust me.😉
