Lisa Myers said:I just picked up a winter jacket from Target... and I am seriously loving it. They actually had a great selection to choose from too.$167...Some were marked down for $50, but honestly, they were pretty ugly. There were also options for $133. It’s not one of those bulky, puffy ones that makes you look huge, either. It hits right past the hips and has a hood... it's perfect.
They even had sizes up to a 22.

Dana Wilson said:Just wanted to check in and say my blazer and shoes from River Island finally arrived 🙂 They were actually super fast, which caught me totally off guard. Since they just came via standard USPS, I figured it’d take forever, but it was only about ten days or so—including two weekends passing by.
I'll post some pics if I can track them down...
edit:
Found them...
As for those pants, Kioko, I'm definitely not trying them on. I've been spending way too much lately, so I think it's better if I just lay low for a bit 🙂
By the way, today's deals over at Castaluna are just insane 🙂

Mind you, it’s not exactly a rare occurrence. My husband is 6'7" and deals with even more clothing struggles than I do. People constantly call him heavier even though he looks totally average (I guess if you're that tall, society expects you to be stick-thin just to look "normal"). All he ever hears is, "Oh, we don't carry that," or "We don't have those sizes in stock." And honestly? Every suit we stumble upon in his size looks like it would go viral on YouTube if I posted a video showing how they fit him 🤣—they're practically cut for people with much wider builds. We actually struggle more finding stuff for him than for myself. 🙂 Btw, if anyone knows where to find jeans with a 36 or—fingers crossed!—a 38 inseam, let me know. 😉
But, truthfully, nobody ever makes annoying comments about his body type. 😬 Probably because "real men" are allowed to be built a little larger. 🤣 *Typical old-school mindset.*

Anyway, since we're all here looking out for one another 😉, if you happen to spot some leather gloves in wild colors (turquoise, deep purple, etc.), please remember to tell me where you saw them. Much love. :*
Laura Murphy2 said:Both of you have sent me a PM! 😉
Linda Johnson15 said:Send me a PM with the measurements and what you're looking to get for them. 😁
Laura Murphy2 said:Yeah, I’m always down for that, I mean, why hold onto things that don't work? I haven't even worn these first ones yet—they still have the tags on them—but I bought them for a specific reason, I guess I just haven't had the right moment to wear them yet. If I don't start wearing them soon, I'll probably just list them, especially since I'm hoping they end up being way too big for me once my diet actually kicks in for the thousandth time.🙂
As for the other stuff I ordered from the pre-sale, I'm really hoping it's love at first sight, but if they don't fit, I'm getting rid of them immediately.🙂
Anyway, Poshmark rules! I rarely buy anything there—maybe twice so far—but everything I've listed was either a wrong order or something that ended up being the wrong size.😉
Laura Murphy2 said:Both of them were just 15 bucks plus free shipping, I guess.
Laura Murphy2 said:I’ve been lurking in this thread for a while now, and I have to say, it’s actually been pretty helpful for finding new online shops.🙂 Well, I finally decided to just jump in and actually participate properly...
My weight tends to fluctuate quite a bit, so my closet is basically a mix of everything from a US size 6 to a 16. (I still haven't figured out how to make the weight stay off once it's gone, I guess.🙂) Right now, I’m in one of my heavier phases—maybe a 14 or 16 up top, and a 16 or 18 on the bottom.🙂
Anyway, back to the point... about two weeks ago when Dorothy Perkins had free shipping, I picked up these pants:http://www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpu...5d&bi=21&ps=20 I ordered a size 20. The fabric and look are great, and since I'm about 5'10", the length is perfect. Though, if I had tried them on first, I probably would've gone a size down. They're loose in the waist, but they fit my hips—which is my widest part—just right, so I'm actually happy because I can just wear a belt and call it a day. Honestly, when I put my measurements into their size guide, it told me I was a 22, but I figured the guide was just wrong, and I was right.😉
I ended up ordering again yesterday since they have free shipping again.🙂

I went with the 20 again since the 18 was out of stock, and I grabbed an L because I was worried the R might be too short. I guess we'll see how this goes.🙂

It really depends. I always look for reviews to see if they are "true to size," small, or large before I buy. For example, at H&M, I wear a 12 or 14, but sometimes I can't even button a 14, so it totally depends on the cut and the fabric. I'll let you know when they arrive. 🙂
Also, Target has cotton undershirts on sale—Jolinesse, $10.00. Super comfy, 95% cotton. I grabbed a Medium; it says 12/14 but it's actually much bigger, more like a 14/16.
We should just start our own forum marketplace for stuff that ends up being too small or too big after we order. 😁

Lately, it's been hard to fit into anything that's a 10, so whenever I order online, I aim for an 11—maybe even wide if it's for work or something. Dorothy Perkins has some cute stuff in a 9 (which is like a 10), but right now I'm eyeing some patent leather pieces that won't really work with this dress. 😢 I'll wait a bit longer; looks like the fall collection is just arriving. And yeah, site reviews are total lifesavers.

Shoes... yeah. Their UK 8 is basically an American 10. Good luck hunting down a 11. 😢 Unless you're somewhere between a 10 and an 11, because some of their styles feel a little roomy for me—not enough to drop down to a 9, though.
To be honest, I'm not huge on their footwear either—I usually only grab things on sale when the original price wasn't too crazy to begin with (like, under $83 $50). I had two pairs where the soles literally peeled off within a week. Total junk. But, I do have some sneakers from them that have actually held up pretty well.
So, most of what I get from ASOS isn't even "ASOS" branded. Though, if you check the other threads, people seem to really like their boots—but those are in a higher price bracket, so maybe quality just scales with the price tag. 🤷
Anyway, I'm pretty picky about shoes, so I might not be the best judge here. 😳
Lisa Myers said:🤣 That actually made me laugh. I’ve never heard that before. So, I guess I’m definitely not like Adele then. My hips aren't exactly my worst feature—neither are my glutes or my legs. Unless, of course, I'm actually an inverted pear shape.
I love the skirt, but I’m torn on whether it actually looks good on me. You guys have totally confused me. Now I don't know what to do. Should I just buy both, wear them once, and then try to return them by claiming they were defective? You know, that whole trick with the returns? 😂
Hey, I’m not sure if you guys are seeing this like I am, but there are people out there selling weight loss supplements who are actually stalking these threads. They follow the discussions and then try to slide into your DMs offering "help." Watch out for that. 😁That’s incredibly noble of them.
