What do you mean, unsuccessful? I managed to snag two and a half albums from Soulseek in just three days, and I’ll have the third one wrapped up tonight. "Guts of a Virgin" (ha!), "Buried Secrets," and "Rituals - Live in Japan" are all pure grindcore... after that, they probably dive into some kind of dub...
I’ve still got that live set from Los Angeles, plus the first studio album and "Twilight Zone." To be honest, any of those three has more standout tracks than "Sun Shines." But if you look at it this way—if "My Home," "I Remember Our First Kiss," and "Heart on the Road" are each worth about four great songs—then "Sun Shines!" actually ends up with 12 great tracks and 7 very good ones. 😁

They actually lifted the whole concept from them... 😁
I’ve got "apocalypse Dudes" on my hands, and I can't remember the last time an album let me down quite this much. I was expecting pure carnage—blood, guts, and teenage rebellion—but what I actually got was some lukewarm hard rock. Honestly, Guns N' Roses' "Appetite for Destruction" sounds about five times more dangerous than this. And even though that dropped a decade earlier, its massive success just goes to show how much the bar for being truly shocking has shifted since then. Nowadays, Turbonegro just sounds like Alice Cooper with better song titles...
Apple is absolute garbage. If they didn't run constant spreads of naked breasts, nobody would give them the time of day... 🙄
Sure, let's just say AC/DC and Motörhead are being intentionally sidelined because I don't personally classify them as metal bands. If we were actually looking for the "top 5 most badass rock and roll albums," they’d definitely make the cut. (Though if it were up to me, I'd throw in an AC/DC record nobody actually likes, "Blow Up Your Video"... even if it leans more toward power-pop than pure rock'n'roll...)

Give me a break. We were busy discussing the direction of the new Weezer record when you barged in to whine about needing a girlfriend. 🙄 And frankly, I think I know a thing or two about what it takes to find one. 😳 😁
redgull44 said:But they definitely aren't any smarter than Weezer... they’re just nerds playing college rock, which basically means at least some of them were probably in university at one point. There's more of them, too. They're vegetarians, animal lovers, they get along with Spike Jonze, and they know some sumo wrestlers, so they could probably take down those guys from Green Day any day. 👋
I see you went with "Pixies vs. Iron Maiden." That's the way to do it. 😁
redgull44 said:Green Day didn't exactly make smart moves after Dookie, so now they're basically falling apart—except they aren't actually breaking up, they're just dropping a new album or starting some side project two months later.
The rumors about them splitting up didn't even come from the band itself, and the whole thing was debunked just a single day after it started circulating.
Everything Green Day has put out since Dookie has been solid...
