The revolving door of management in Fans ·
It feels like every time a team finds a specific rhythm, they go and swap out the entire leadership structure just for the sake of a "new direction." I've seen it happen so many times in different sports where the players are actually winning, but the brass decides it's time for a change. Do you think constant coaching turnover actually helps a team evolve, or does it just kill the momentum?

Brenda Ramirez2 said:Well, if you want to talk about putting pressure on the American judiciary—since they clearly view us as second-class citizens anyway—you could probably just list "pressuring the courts" as a job requirement and nobody would blink an eye.

About 18 years ago, while working as an analyst in London, I accompanied MDem to the Raiffeisenbank headquarters for a deal. They took us to lunch at their own restaurant, only to find linoleum on the floor. That was when I realized they were even more provincial than we are. They truly are.

It always breaks my heart to see us constantly bashing our own country. When you actually crunch the numbers, we’re easily in the top ten percent, maybe even higher.
Talking about putting pressure on US federal courts is like showing a picture of a naked lady to a teenager with a spray bottle and telling him you've got more. That pressure is absolutely zero compared to what actually happens in those "elite" capitals we worship so submissively.
US banks stealing? Oh, please! First off, which banks are even local? Most of them are just greedy corporations with no real ties to America. They just used small-time local puppets who knew exactly which politician or judge needed a bribe to look the other way. In exchange, they got some dirty little secrets.
What we're seeing here is nothing compared to the theft, embezzlement, and corruption happening in those mythical, "honest" Western nations—nations that were built, and still function, on foundations of enslavement, robbery, murder, and rape...

If these judges weren't mentally unstable and easily swayed, this notice wouldn't have been published in the first place.
But they are. That’s why they hold these positions—so they can hide behind their titles since they lack any actual backbone.
Jack Jones3 said:Greetings,

I have a question regarding legalities—is a Wi-Fi subscriber legally allowed to intercept my communications? This is someone I share an internet bill with since we split the monthly cost. The situation is taking place in Germany. Thanks in advance.

I don't know the exact laws, but I'd bet they aren't allowed to, especially in Germany. It’s not like the USA or the UAE or some other totalitarian state. But hey, I'm not a lawyer.

But what exactly do you mean by "snooping"? If you think they're tracking your browsing history, most sites use HTTPS nowadays anyway (everything is encrypted between you and the server). Now, if the owner is using techniques to intercept your traffic by pretending to be a website... yeah, there's a much higher chance that's illegal in Germany. Honestly, I don't think even in the States people are okay with that (unless you're working for the CIA, NSA, or FBI...).

My advice, regardless of whether the Wi-Fi owner is snooping or not: just use a VPN. That way, the only person you actually have to worry about is the VPN provider itself (and, obviously, the NSA, FBI, CIA, or KGB...).

Give this a shot for Windows network troubleshooting:

Here’s some more advice, though honestly, the best move seems to be just nuking the drivers and reinstalling them from scratch:

How did you move those photos over?
Double-click on EasyBox (or just right-click) and select "Connect."
It should prompt you for a password at some point.

Set your Windows settings so it doesn't auto-restart immediately. That way, you can actually read the stop code or error text when the Blue Screen of Death hits.

Printer icon missing/not showing up in IT Support ·
Aaron Ward12 said:Hey guys, I need some help. I can't for the life of me get the printer icon onto my desktop. I've tried everything, but nothing works.
My printer is an HP Envy series
My system is 32-bit

While you're busy pondering the morality and philosophy behind your potentially irresponsible actions—as the previous author so wisely and accurately pointed out—give this a shot. If you're running American versions of macOS, this might just work:
  1. Start --> Run --> type "Control" (no quotes) --> hit [Enter]
  2. type "Printers" --> hit [Enter]
  3. click on "View devices and printers"
  4. right-click the printer you want
  5. "Create shortcut"
  6. If you happen to be on Windows 11—sometimes that OS is so glitchy it tries to create a shortcut where it physically can't, essentially warning itself (and you) that it's impossible, while still asking, "Do you want a shortcut on the desktop?"

...or maybe give us more details than just "...but it won't work".

Don't you have to mess with firewall settings or deal with public IPs for that one?

Chris Hill said:won't let them open any websites

For example, if the system clock is set to May 29, 2020, and a neighbor tries to visit an HTTPS site with a certificate that expired on March 1, 2020, the browser will flag the site as insecure. It might even block access entirely, either temporarily or permanently.

That certificate is supposed to prove the site is legit, but honestly, anyone from the FBI to some random hacker could have obtained and installed one.

Since nobody seems capable of actually defending against attacks these days, they rely on these paranoid, over-the-top security measures. It ends up blocking 99% of perfectly legitimate online activity. It feels like a way to mask the real situation—trying to look like they’re working superhumanly hard for our safety while making sure they can never be held responsible for anything, anywhere, ever.

Regardless, I appreciate the effort you put into it.

Try looking up a program called "macshift." That should be pretty straightforward. Sorry, I don't have the time to walk you through every single step...

I think you’re entitled to a *refund* or an *exchange* within a certain number of days—not just a repair. Check their policy or just Google "US consumer protection laws."
Go in there, tell them it’s defective, and hand it back.
Ask for a different laptop or your money back.
Try out a replacement on-site if you can.
If they give you any pushback about testing it ("...oh, we don't really allow that..."), then just demand your money back.

From what I hear, the Better Business Bureau or consumer agencies actually get things done, and the fines for breaking these laws aren't small. We aren't at the mercy of the store anymore.

Can you try saving the attachment to your hard drive first and then opening it from there?

Morgan Ortiz6 said:Wireless connection enabled - connected... but no internet access

If you have that smart setup software that came with the printer, try plugging the thing into your router with an Ethernet cable first. Use the software to configure the WiFi that way—it’s usually much easier than wrestling with those tiny little screens.

I'm guessing it's either a DNS issue or a wrong WiFi password, but honestly, it's hard to tell from just this.

rapidfox21 said:Lately, LogMeIn has been giving me nothing but grief. It keeps cutting me off, claiming I'm using it for commercial purposes, which is a total lie since I barely ever use it outside of helping out a few friends or family members. Apparently, this isn't just me; plenty of people are running into the same wall and jumping ship to other apps
I heard there’s a solid free option called Remote Desktop Connection
I downloaded it to test the waters, but the setup is a nightmare. I honestly can't figure out how to actually connect to another computer
There are some tutorials on YouTube, but none of them actually go into enough detail to be useful. They aren't helping at all
Is anyone here actually using it? If so, maybe you could walk me through it and help out future users too

I don't use it myself, so I can't say for sure, but I took a quick look at their setup guide (hxxp://remotedesktopconnection.com/products/QuickSupport). It looks like they list a private IP address—the kind you use on your home network—instead of a public one. If you follow those steps exactly, it's not going to work over the Internet.

Anyone waiting for remote help needs to provide their public IP address.
You can find it right here: hxxps://ipinfo.io/ip

Another thing: you might need to "open a port" or set up "port forwarding" on your router and computer firewall to allow an incoming connection. High-end routers and software usually handle this automatically, but if you're using basic gear or have extra security layers, you'll likely have to do it manually.

That's all I've got. 🙂
