The Shells Band Biography😢Written by Mario Marcello) The Shells were formed back in 1994 in Santa Barbara, USA. We founded The Shells ourselves: our first bassist, SS Dr. Stefan Hauser, and me (Mario Marcello, SS Gruppenfuhrer). Our original lineup also featured Dale on drums and Šatalic, a serenader from San Francisco. We played at Lollapalooza and actually walked away with titles for both "Worst Set" and "Worst Band." With that lineup, the band recorded its first album, "A Gift to My Beloved Water," after seven years of silence. That album is nothing but hits—perfect music and lyrics that God channeled directly to the King of Yugoslavia, Mario Marcello, SS Gruppenfuhrer, during a moment of pure divine inspiration. Once SS Dr. Stefan Hauser came down with a severe case of "not giving a damn" about The Shells, SS Dr. Nix Nixon stepped in to play bass on our second album, "Keeping Pace with Time," released in 2003. After I received instructions from God during a deep conversation regarding how to craft a new, perfect album—one featuring genius music and divine poetry that would shift the very flow of galactic currency—Rist left his lover Gerhard, and the King's lover Ogi-oh joined the band. And so, the band continues its tradition as a "gay-boy band" and records its third album, "To Each His Own." Just kidding, we aren't a gay band; we're just assholes. The band had a flawless performance celebrating our 10th anniversary, and we continue to play many shows where the audience is consistently blown away. The music of The Shells was born out of an attempt to "fix" the works of Mozart and Beethoven, because God told the King during a moment of inspiration that those two had made a few mistakes and that he was sent to correct them. The poetry of The Shells was actually penned by God himself, who relayed it to his scribe—me, the King of Yugoslavia, and the SS Gruppenfuhrer—to rectify errors written by the old fascist D'Annunzio and the SS concentration camp inspector, SS Gruppenfuhrer Theodor Eicke. So, if anyone has a problem with it, take it up with God. The Shells are a punk band, which means we advocate for pure nature and equality among people, standing against all the bastards and pseudo-patriots who destroy the environment and only care about lining their pockets. Personally, I think Catholic doctrine is fine, provided that church officials don't abuse it to enrich themselves, living off freebies for life and trampling over others without accountability—even children, if necessary. The Shells advocate for maintaining the borders established by the post-war agreements and preserving the tradition of anti-fascism as the foundation of modern America, as well as the return of workers' rights, healthcare access, and all the other rights that the plutocratic "turbo" nationalists and other frantic vultures—who enriched themselves through war-time schemes—want to strip away from ordinary Americans. Personally, I don't think we need the EU or NATO. Digging up the past just to pile guilt onto people feels unnecessary, especially coming from church officials who, following their usual pattern, do the exact opposite of what their leader Jesus commanded. Ecocide is a topic that should never stop being discussed, and I've tackled it in several Shells songs, like "Strange Scene." I advocate for sexual freedom, though I'm not a fan of same-sex marriage because it looks a bit grotesque; most people find it a little off-putting to see homosexuals parading around. That doesn't mean they are worth any less, it's just a bit cringey to watch, unnatural. The Shells perform exclusively on our own terms; we don't respond to invites, festivals, or anything else. We organize shows whenever we feel like it. In other words, we're the bosses. For contact regarding The Shells, reach out to all band members; nobody outside the band handles this. I'm not entirely sure if it came from the Library of Congress specifically, but those types of libraries have such diverse collections—they might even have CDs like that in their stacks. Honestly, you should try hitting up a local library and just asking. I can't say for certain if my info came from the Library of Congress or just some other local branch in Washington, D.C.

I'm not entirely sure what you're hunting for, but you might have some luck checking out http://www.loc.gov/ if I recall correctly. I think I managed to dig up a few interesting CDs from their archives quite a while back—maybe ten or fifteen years ago. For me, those recordings from Burundi really stuck.

If I really start digging through my earliest childhood memories, I think it would be artists like Michael Jackson, maybe some classic rock legends, or even early pop acts like NSYNC. As for international stuff, a bit later on, it was definitely The Beatles, Depeche Mode, a-ha, Michael Jackson, and New Kids on the Block.
I actually have a huge pile of things I loved, like those old soul tracks... 🙂...but that was just one specific band.

I know I truly loved them because even today, if I turn on some of that old domestic music after 20, 25, or 30 years, I can still belt out the lyrics and the melody perfectly fine.😬

Harold Jones5, I’m having a hard time following what you wrote, but I assume you're talking about different variations on the theme (I’m a total amateur when it comes to electronics and programming).
I found a Boarduino online that seems similar to an Arduino for $20 kit:

A few amateur questions regarding this Boarduino:
1. Can I use this board to control the transmission and reading of RFID signals (maybe around 5 types of signals, like 5 different tags, using a batch of 500-1000 RFID receivers)? I hope that makes sense!
2. Can I control about 4 servo motors with it?

This is all pretty new to me, and I’m honestly not sure if I truly grasp how it works (I've watched plenty of videos, but I'm still not entirely clear on the actual capabilities).

Does anyone here work with Arduino or anything similar?
