If this actually happened, it’s nothing new. Back in 2003, Jello Biafra was scheduled for a spoken word set at The Fillmore, but his agency booked a Jellov show in New York City on the exact same date without ever telling the venue...

I’m not planning on using them either. My point is simply that if something was free three years ago and now costs money, it’s because they’ve added features to the price that weren't there before—things that actually make camping a lot more comfortable.

Three years ago, the campsite was nothing more than a patch of dirt for tents. Now, they’ve got hot showers, restrooms, power, Wi-Fi, secure storage, and a whole host of other amenities. Any festival that provides a decent camping experience with actual facilities is going to charge for it—look at Lollapalooza or Bonnaroo, some of the biggest names in the US. They have overhead to cover for all those services. Why shouldn't this festival charge for them?...

As part of the Ivica Baričević BALD exhibition at the Swamp, one of the bands he helped build a reputation with—as a close friend, publisher, and collaborator—will be performing. We're talking about old friends, the band Peach pie. They’re playing a show to debut new material while also revisiting some older tracks from the bar's releases that he loved. This time, Peach pie is performing in a new/old trio lineup (bass/drums/guitar), which they used to record both new and old stuff. This means you'll hear the new tracks for the first time, and some older ones might be heard live for the first time in over 10 years...

A year later, Peach pie is back at the Swamp for a gig for their buddy.

Guess what—the first band to play (who the organizer mistakenly thought was Guess What's unannounced opener 🙏) was alright, kind of a lounge vibe.

The second band—whom the organizer thought was Guess What—was some sort of French gypsy ethno-nonsense with two members from the first group. Honestly, they were great because after two or three songs I just went home to watch some crime dramas instead. Definitely the better option...
