The setlist from the New York City show: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/joan-b...-73cce6bd.html

It simply wouldn't be complete without an encore from unknown 😬 :

It’s happening over at the union hall. It seems the organizers finally grew a brain after that absolute train wreck involving Donovan - http://www.popboks.com/article/29539

It’s already a day ahead here in New York City. You can find decent seats for about 42 bucks, which isn't much different from what you'd pay back home. I just hope it doesn't turn into a total disaster like that Donovan situation last year—they tried to shove him into a massive arena, the ticket sales were pathetic, and the whole show ended up being canceled right after I went out and snagged front-row seats. 😬
It’s been two days since the concert ended...

For those who might find this of interest, I have managed to track down the setlists from the current tour across the US:

Enjoy the music, everyone...
Aha, I see. It seems restlesslynx3 gave you a pretty solid answer there; that’s about the standard benchmark. Speaking from my own experience attending the last thirteen Lollapalooza festivals, there were only a handful of exceptions regarding the headliners—for instance, The White Stripes played for about 65 minutes, while Guns N' Roses went on for a full 3 hours and 10 minutes... but generally speaking, the big heavy hitters I've watched usually clock in right around the 90-minute mark.
"Do you think the headliners actually play their full sets?"

- My friend Rory, it sounds like you haven't been to many music festivals lately, haven't you? 🙂

"What a total train wreck"

- Heh. That infectious little hook kept looping back like some sort of rhythmic mantra: "Say baby do you wanna lay down with me, say baby do you wanna lay down by my side, say b-b-b-b-b-b-b-baby"

P.S. Someone finally uploaded the full set from Woodstock here. I remember watching them for the first time back then—on the TV, naturally, since live broadcasts were the big thing. It features that ridiculous comedic bit at the start of "My name is Mud"

PLAY IT LOUD

Play It Loud, look—I’m certainly no professional translator, but you hit the nail on the head there, heh heh... Speaking of Metallica, there is that specific recording where Les Claypool tears through Master of Puppets at Woodstock 1994, and if memory serves, Primus also did a rendition of The Thing That Should Not Be...

P.S. And you absolutely have to listen to Jovo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXCuVJYOXCU

Ahhh, Primus brings back the memories 🧐 ... those gritty high school days back in Sremski Karlovac during the rough nineties... while everyone else around us was obsessed with that terrible turbofolk scene, a few of us were busy jumping around to Harold Sten and Tom Cat 🙂
Next stop, Vienna.
Megan Miller31& 'MissBeelz', in that case—welcome to New York City; if you find yourselves needing a guide, I might be persuaded to show you a bit of the city 🙂
It’s all a bit of a revolving door, isn't it? In the end, everything just circles back to...

Heh heh...

"...as Nebojša Čonkić Čonta, a singer, recounted: 'I was riding the city bus one day when some kid asks if we’re actually going to play any tracks from the debut album during the shows...'"
I ran into Chont on the bus a few days ago. I asked him if there were going to be any concerts coming up in Chicago, and he told me—unhappily—that there wouldn't be, citing certain issues with Srete. Yet, if you look at the news from yesterday:

It’ll be quite interesting to see how the setlists compare between Belgrade and NYC...

I still vividly recall their set on the Coachella 2008 main stage; it remains, in my estimation, the finest performance I ever witnessed at a festival grounds—and believe me, having attended nearly every year, I’ve seen just about everything there is to see.
I find myself wondering if that impression was colored by a bit of local pride, the sheer weight of anticipation (considering it was their first show in nearly three decades), or if they simply decimated the crowd with a blistering thirty-minute set. Honestly, who can say? By comparison, when the Sex Pistols took over as headliners later that night, they seemed almost underwhelming, though I suppose the drummer didn't exactly help their cause either.

Post Scriptum: They'll be in Chicago on May 21st.

P.P.S. This upcoming lineup will feature the musicians from their second album. While the original group played Coachella, Professor Chonta is on board this time, so it should be a whole new experience.
And one more Post Scriptum --
banderas, do you have any intel on the lineup for Lollapalooza? 😁
90s concerts in Canada in Music ·
Regarding that pivotal year of 1991, I recall Bob Dylan was touring through Washington, D.C., and even made his way to Belgrade during that same June... those were some of the final concerts held before everything descended into conflict.

... then there was B.B. King performing in Belgrade later that July at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center during the Newport Jazz Festival.

Playing festivals tends to be significantly more expensive—sometimes up to three times the cost of doing solo gigs...

... and you often end up playing sets that are twice as short... ☕
