Could someone break this down for me in plain English—why is it like this? I know people who use Opera (not me personally, just a heads-up so nobody thinks I'm a target for hackers ), and they have the misfortune of being terrible at remembering passwords, so they just save everything in the browser's built-in manager to avoid the mental clutter. 😁 Is there any way to save them while still keeping things secure? 🙏

She’s terrified that if she goes to the doctor, her mom will find out she isn't a virgin, making a huge scene, only for the gynecologist to tell her everything is perfectly normal... so I'm asking if any girls here have gone through something similar.
If I were in her shoes, I'd honestly just head straight to the doctor myself. 🙂
No offense intended, but what is even going on with these stories? 🙄 It’s almost exhausting trying to follow this logic. 🙄
She should just go see a gynecologist right away. She doesn't need her mom to go along; she can go by herself, and then nobody else ever has to know. 🙄
And based on how she described it, it sounds like a classic case of a simple discharge issue.
Hey, el brujo, thanks so much! 😉 I was having such a rough time getting things to work after my shift yesterday, but I gave it another shot once I got home and finally cracked it. Seriously though, thank you again. 😉
I’ve been trying to get this right, but I just can't seem to nail it. Even after resizing it down to 50x50, the file size is still sitting at 11.6 kb. Since I don't have Adobe Photoshop and I'm having a tough time getting things to work on Flickr's GIF tool, would anyone be willing to help me out? I really need to get this down to exactly 9.8 kb. Thanks a bunch! 😉 🙏
Oops! I totally posted the wrong link, so let me fix that mistake real quick. I actually meant to point you all toward this thread. Hopefully, that makes much more sense 🙂now.

Now, as for exactly how much time that gives you—I don't have the precise number memorized off the top of my head, but I'm thinking it's about half an hour or so. The admins will definitely know the exact window.
Thanks so much! I read somewhere else that it might be 300 minutes (so, like 5 hours). Looking at this thread, I honestly thought there might be some kind of Chrome extension that could let me bypass that limit once the 5 hours were up. But hey, I don't want to make things more complicated than they need to be. Thanks again!
amberorca192 said:There's no need to install anything extra just to edit posts. Editing is a built-in feature of the software running this Reddit.
What velvetgull9 mentioned regarding the timeframe... usually, you have about 5 hours before the option disappears (at least that's how it used to work).
As for adding images, you actually have to upload them to the web first. You can't just attach a file directly from your hard drive to the Reddit; you have to host it on an image-hosting site first (something like Imgur).
Thank you so much, amberorca192 🙂. That is incredibly kind of you 🙂. I've gone through a few different threads about uploading images, and everything makes total sense now. Thanks again! 🙂
silverfox3 Would your personal banker ever actually recommend switching to another bank just to get a better loan rate? I highly doubt it. I give you credit for everything else you say you can handle on your own said:
I honestly don't see what the issue is here.
I mean, you aren't going to go out hunting for a personal banker before you've even picked a bank, right? Or maybe some people will 😕! Come to think of it, someone might if they have enough trust in that specific individual to hand over their hard-earned cash. But at the end of the day, every personal banker follows the strict standards set by their firm—it's not like there's much room for creative interpretation.
I'm with you on one thing: most people struggle to spot high-quality financial products in such a crowded market. That’s where advisors really shine. I'm standing with Jane on this one.
However, if Jane wants to grow her client base, she has to master the art of the approach—learning how to present herself, how to represent her firm, and how to build genuine rapport with potential clients. And the reason she started this thread was because people were questioning her story, wasn't it? That suggests there's a gap somewhere—or more accurately, her employer might have missed teaching her those specific soft skills.
Jane, just keep pushing forward—don't let my comments discourage you (that truly wasn't my intention).
Just one last thought before I head out. I actually just caught your little ad, and if you’ll allow me to offer a bit of advice, I think you might want to try a slightly different angle. It would be really effective to lead with a stronger personal introduction—something designed specifically to build rapport and earn the trust of whoever is reading it. When you're dealing with money, you're stepping into one of the most sensitive areas of anyone's life. Trust is an incredibly heavy thing to build; it takes a massive amount of effort to establish, but it can vanish in the blink of an eye. And once that bridge is burned? Getting it rebuilt is an uphill battle that most people simply don't have the energy to fight.
Not really. Why do you ask? It’s just that I’ve got a pretty solid handle on my finances. I have my own bank and a dedicated personal banker at Charles Schwab to work with. On top of that, I’m comfortable running my own financial analyses, keeping an eye out for new products or services hitting the market, and—most importantly—vetting them to make sure they actually align with what I need. Thanks!
P.S. Best of luck with everything! You might want to look into targeting small business owners and independent contractors. From what I can see, most of them are flying blind when it comes to managing things—whether it's finance, marketing, or other essentials—so you'd probably find a much more eager client base there.
darkpanther15 said:I posted an ad yesterday offering free financial planning advice... Why is everyone so skeptical about it?
To be honest, I’m pretty skeptical about your ad too. Why?
1. What’s the actual catch? What motivates you to give away financial advice for nothing? 2. What kind of credentials do you actually have to be providing this kind of guidance? 3. How are you footing the bill for all these ads if you aren't charging anything? 4. What kind of professional is someone who offers expert advice but doesn't want to make a dime from it? 5. ...and so on, and so forth...
I know exactly who’s interested. If AxMi-24 were around, I’m certain he’d take care of that for me—honestly, I wouldn't even have to ask nicely. If he were here right now, he’d probably just jump right in and slash my post count down in no time.
Thanks so much! By any chance, could you help me fix my total post count? It feels stuck at 15, and I’m really aiming to climb that leaderboard and get as many posts under my belt as possible.
velvetgull9 said:Just a quick heads-up for anyone new around here: posts made in the Off-Topic section don't count toward your total post count. It’s kind of like how extra laps in a practice session don't count toward your official race stats—it keeps the main leaderboard clean. If you want to see how we track everything, just head over to that section and give the guidelines a quick read. 😉
Man, I’m actually feeling pretty embarrassed right now. 🙏 Thanks so much, velvetgull9. I'll step back now and stay out of everyone's hair, whatever happens.
It’s me again (sorry for being a bit of a nuisance!). I ran into some issues getting my registration sorted out, but now that I’ve finally managed to get things moving, I’ve noticed a weird discrepancy in my activity log. It shows fewer posts than I actually know I've written—for instance, it might say I have 3 posts when I'm certain I've put up at least 5. On top of that, I don't see that little icon under my username in the bottom right corner (the one used for reporting posts to the moderators). Does anyone know how I can get this fixed?
