It’s hardly a shocker; van Niekerk looks a bit sluggish in the lanes, while the Botswanan seems to be in peak form. I was already thinking yesterday that the Turk might at least be in the mix for a medal. The Japanese athlete will likely be a serious contender for a medal in Tokyo.
I guess I'm praying to God that this is enough and she doesn't get overtaken by these two. Three would be ideal, especially since that German woman completely blew it during the final series at the last World Championships.
Now a Turkish woman is breaking into the mix... honestly, a medal seems out of reach now. I suspect she’s already locked one down with that performance.

Chris Fisher3 said:All jokes aside, we were pretty much the only ones standing in the way of the French sweeping up all the gold. If we hadn't stepped up to slow them down, they probably would have walked away with everything. They’re definitely feeling the pressure, though I suppose they still have Omeyer up their sleeve as a wildcard. 😁
I believe I’ve touched on this subject a few times now. Looking back at the stretch from the start of the EP 2008 run—specifically from our victory in the semifinals through to last year’s Olympics—it seems like the French always find a way to take it all unless we happen to step in and stop them. They’ve essentially swept every final they’ve ever played, though I suppose that streak finally hit a snag when Denmark managed to break two of those traditions during the Rio games.
I haven't really been following the championship much lately, nor have I been keeping up with the game threads. Where exactly does this whole "holy seven" thing come from? Edit: I managed to find it.
Eva Green isn't exactly my type of beauty, but she looks fine in the film 🙏 Samuel L. Jackson feels a bit caricatured here—it's a wasted performance, I suppose. The central conflict is pretty basic and gets resolved far too easily. Even the visuals, which are usually why I dig Burton, didn't really blow me away this time. It’s something you might watch if you absolutely have to, but I doubt any sequels would catch my interest. It doesn't even come close to HP; it's miles off the mark. I'll probably just stick to watching Fantastic Beasts and comparing them that way, because this definitely wasn't it.
