Cute little pastry🙂
Whether it's overpriced or not depends entirely on how many people you're feeding. 😉
As for sprinkles, you can put them on this cake or any other one if you feel like it. You don't have to.
Nathan Cox25 said:The flavor is just gross—honestly, it’s like chewing on paper. You might get a decent bite if you hit the center, but everyone just leaves the outer layer behind, and yet they charge at least $67 more than your standard cake.
Are we talking about Swiss chocolate or something else? Because that stuff doesn't taste like paper to me—just pure sugar... either way, I find it equally nauseating. 😬
Anyway, Zlocko—that chocolate-glazed one you have is actually finger-licking good. 👍
Jacob Ortiz62 said:I’m curious, what did you all end up paying for your wedding cakes? We were recently presented with a quote for a very basic, two-tier wedding cake intended to serve about 120 guests—just a simple cake-on-cake setup, no fancy stand, absolutely zero special decorations, no little bride and groom toppers, nothing at all for $800?! That works out to roughly $6.75 per slice, and honestly, I can't help but wonder if that's just an astronomical amount for something so plain?😕
Honestly, I’ve never really daydreamed about wedding stuff. Most of the time, after sitting through a bunch of them, my only thought was "I am never, ever eating a parfait cake."
And wouldn't you know it, life has a funny way of finding you. 🙏 (You can run from a parfait, but apparently, the parfait won't stop running after you.)
Fine then, just hire a caterer and order whatever kind of cake you actually want from someone else. 😉
Did you even try their parfait though? Might actually be good. 🙂
A decent parfait can't possibly replicate the flavors of various cakes; it all depends on which pastries you're pairing them with. 😉 I don't get why you're killing yourself over this. Is it because you're getting free dessert?
David Mitchell said:Hey, what’s the verdict on cupcakes for a bachelorette party?? I was thinking about grabbing one for every girl there! I'm not sure if I'm allowed to drop a link to the site where I found them just to show you how much I'm obsessed 😉
Go ahead 😉 Every bakery in town is doing them now. A year ago at the local county fair, people gave me such weird looks when I asked if they had any. 😬

What’s the new price versus the old one?
For us, $4.00/slice charged us based on the fact that we ordered a cake for 100 people, but then they claimed the cake turned out slightly larger than expected, so they tacked on an extra $10 or so. Honestly, we didn't even bother arguing about it because there was more than enough cake to go around, and it really was delicious.
🤦 I am honestly just done with people like this and these shady little deals...
Some people claim a standard of 1.5 to 3 pounds per person, but honestly, it all depends on who you're hosting... For our party of 110, we put out 44 pounds of food and there was still way too much left over.
goldenheron34, you're not late, don't sweat it... they'll probably just tell you to check back two or three weeks before the wedding to finalize everything anyway. Go ahead and reach out early just to make sure they aren't booked up, though I doubt they'd turn down a wedding easily even with how busy things get 😉
Shaggy hair and London types... typical. It’s all just coconut, like some cheap Raffaello knockoff... honestly, any imitation of Ferrero Rocher is fine by me.😁
We let everything else pass at the wedding, but we drew the line at peach cobbler and wafer cookies—we just can't stand them. Honestly, you're better off heading straight to their table to sample the whole spread😬
Robin Kelly25, I suspect any standard catering company could pull off those little cups. You should probably gather more quotes just to be safe and find the cheapest option 😉 give Delivered Catering a shot; I know they've handled them before, and they likely still do.
I really wanted an ice cream cake, but honestly, it just wouldn't work with the glaze I picked out. 😢 Still, once you let the M&M's parfait and mousse chill, it basically tastes just like ice cream anyway. 👍
There isn't much of a gap between mus and ABSUM. Mus runs $20/kg, while ABSUM is $18/kg. I wouldn't call them gourmet pastries, but personally, I thought they were quite good—and so did everyone else who actually bothered to eat them 🙂
Henry Wood4 said:Ladies, has anyone here actually tried those ABSUM cookies from the bakery in Columbus? I’m thinking about placing an order since they seemed pretty decent when I grabbed some on a whim...
We were torn between them and mus, but ended up going with mus. They were just slightly better. Not that ABSUM is bad. Honestly, who actually eats wedding cookies? At my wedding, half of them were left over.😬
