Importing from China in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
So, regarding my textile business and those various types of additives🙂, I actually tracked down a few suppliers through Alibaba, and honestly, the folks over in China are super polite and really easy to talk to...

But there’s one thing that’s been weighing on my mind while I'm scouring the web for info—maybe someone here knows the drill, what kind of certifications does fabric actually need to clear? Or is it enough just to list the origin and the material composition?

I was wondering, how does it actually work when you're trying to deposit or withdraw using a Diners Club card?

I mean, I think I get the deposit part... I assume I'll just get a receipt or something... but how does withdrawing money back to a Diners card even work? That's the one card I actually have on me right now...

Or should I just set up a Moonybokers account and go from there...

Man, it’s showing 238 below zero now... I guess they finally fixed the sensor or something...😂

I mean, with standard offset printing, it’s honestly not worth their time to deal with foil stamping or all that fancy stuff if you're looking at fewer than 1,000 copies, but hey, you never know who might be interested... 😬

I really need to get my songs cleared with ASCAP first... once that's out of the way, I'll figure out my next move...
Just to make things easy, since my old man works as an offset press operator, getting the CD covers and the packaging isn't even an issue for me because he handles all that...

So, the actual part where I burn the music onto the discs is something I can definitely take care of myself...

Let's say I end up cranking out something like 500 CDs...

Now, how would I actually go about selling those to a local record store??

I mean, my goal is really to just handle the whole process independently if there's any way to make that happen...
Man, this is just great...

So I shot them an email yesterday and basically told them straight up that all this whining is ridiculous, and he tells me I should just pay a $240 yearly fee, and if they happen to like a track or whatever, they'll keep working without taking a cut—like, they'll sell the song, release it, blah blah blah...

I mean, sure, that part makes sense, but $240 having to pay just to be allowed to listen to two whole songs???

It's like, what do they think they are, the President or some high-ranking Senator with divine insight or something, I don't even know... get this, you actually have to pay just for them to hear your tracks... what absolute idiots...

If he’d just said, "Hey, pay the fee and send us stuff every day," I could deal with that—but only two songs, and if you want them to even glance at a third one, you gotta cough up $8.25 per track

It's honestly terrible...

Does anyone actually know how to go solo and release an album? Because I've got my final tracks recorded exactly how they need to be, but then you need someone to handle the cover art, press the CDs, and actually get them distributed to places like Best Buy or local record stores...
oh come on, you're telling me they actually want you to pay $240just to have a song reviewed???

man, i honestly can't tell who's losing their mind here...
So, looking back, I was actually super deep into music about five years ago...

I had a bunch of my own tracks—mostly techno and trance stuff—and I was honestly a pretty solid DJ, even though I never really played any actual gigs, but then everything just kind of stopped out of nowhere...

That itch is hitting me all over again today, which is funny because this is actually the second time I've walked away from music, once when I was like twelve and then again a few years back...

I still have this one album sitting there, just a collection of selected tracks that were supposed to go somewhere so I could finally show people what I can do, but nothing ever happened...

What I'm wondering is, are there any record labels out there that actually take on amateur techno producers, or is it more realistic for someone like me to just release my own album independently?
hey, does anyone know if there are still tickets left to grab?

like, do you think ITGRAL or the Dallas shop might have some sitting around?

So I figured I’d jump in here and ask my own question about this too:

I’ve had my Diners card for about 10 months now, plus I have that Diners loyalty thing going on...

I was wondering if it's actually possible to take out some kind of cash advance through the Diners card? I’m just looking for maybe around $1,100, nothing crazy or anything...

What kind of interest rates are we talking about here, and what does the repayment process look like?
Sorry for digging up this old thread, but I’ve been dealing with something pretty similar lately...

So, my shift runs from 7 AM to 3 PM every single day, but man, it’s killing me... I get these massive headaches, either while I’m on the clock or right after I head home... It’s always centered right above my eyes, and honestly, my eyes just feel completely strained too... it's a total nightmare... sometimes the pain starts kicking in around 10 AM, and other times it doesn't really hit me until after 1 PM...

I'm using a 17" LCD monitor, and I've already messed with the refresh rate and all those settings to make sure everything is dialed in correctly, but nothing seems to help...

Do you think it's worth picking up some of those computer glasses or something?

Like, do they actually do anything at all...?
How to color 3D objects in AutoCAD 2007 in Software ·
alright, thanks, that’s what I figured... I probably should be leaning on those 3D tools more than I am...

I know there’s also that way to just draw a wall using a single tool, which makes things way easier...

So, here's the deal, I've been messing around in AutoCAD and finally finished putting together a full 3D model of my house...

I was just sticking to the most basic line tool for my drafting... in 3D space, obviously...

It actually turned out pretty awesome...

Now I’m thinking about how to get those walls set to one color, then maybe switch things up with different colors for the windows and stuff like that...

How exactly would that work though...
Man, this HATCH option is driving me absolutely crazy... I’ve got these four lines forming a rectangle—basically just a wall in my 3D workspace—and no matter which shade I pick, nothing happens at all... it's like the command doesn't even register. It’s so weird because if I take that exact same wall and copy it over into a 2D view, I can color it however I want without any issues... I guess that's because once it's in 2D, the software actually recognizes it as a flat image using XY coordinates, but in 3D space, it's just completely ignoring me...

I tried turning the wall into a block to see if that would help, but honestly, I'm just spinning my wheels here... I managed to dig up a few different coloring options, but nothing is actually working the way I need it to...

Hey, can anyone throw some advice my way... I'm feeling a bit stuck on this one...
Issues with online banking - JPMorgan Chase in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Megan Newman3 said:Does the online portal show a transaction history? Can you request an official confirmation—though they’ll probably charge you for it—if you ever need to prove something?

Yeah, I’ve got it, you can clearly see the transfer through my online banking... so, yeah, it shouldn't be an issue at all... plus I still have the confirmation emails from when I paid those bills too...👍
Issues with online banking - JPMorgan Chase in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
So I finally knocked out my first two bills yesterday using my Goldman Sachs online banking... just handled my life insurance and my cell phone bill...

Honestly, it’s such a relief compared to wasting half my afternoon driving down to a local branch... plus, the fees are actually $0.33...

But now I'm kind of stressing about how I'm supposed to prove I actually paid them if someone asks? Like, back when you'd go into a physical bank, they'd stamp that little paper receipt right there, so if anyone tried to give me grief about an unpaid bill, I had the hard proof in my hand...

How am I even meant to show proof doing it this way? I remember my old man dealing with those annoying situations where the phone company would call the house claiming he missed a payment, even though he totally paid it... it was always just one big "he said, she said" mess...

I did get an email confirmation saying the payments went through, and there was some toll-free number listed where I could call to double-check that everything processed correctly... but I didn't bother calling because I figured it's probably fine...

Ronald Allen said:That's pretty much it. You can check your credit balance whenever you want at www.dinersclub.com. Just sign up and poke around in there a bit, but if you actually want to pay your bill, I'd suggest using JPMorgan Chase. They don't hit you with those annoying fees when you're paying things off. 😉

I figured I'd just have my statement sent straight to my portal on the Diners Club site...
so I can just pay everything online instead of having to run down to JPMorgan Chase every single time...

I noticed they have a card terminal there, but I was wondering if it actually takes Diners Club... it just looked like a standard setup to me...

And honestly, if I want to grab those discounts, I’d have to drive all the way into Chicago since that's where those specific shops are located, and I really don't feel like burning through more gas than necessary... so staying local is definitely the better move here...

Why on earth $500? Especially if the guy over the phone already processed a transaction for $392...

So, I finally pulled the trigger today and bought my first item using Diners Club👍.

Everything seemed to go smoothly enough...

It was a digital device, plus a card and a case $400...

I set it up for 12 monthly installments, which means about $33... plus there’s this 1.5% fee from Diners Club on the total price, and then some kind of 12% annual interest... does anyone know what the actual math works out to? Personally, I feel like it shouldn't really climb much higher than $50...

But the guy at the store didn't even swipe the card through a terminal or anything... he just took all the info off the card, called in for authorization, and typed everything—the price, the number of installments—straight into his phone. Then at the end, he had me sign this paper I received, basically setting it up as a credit line through Diners Club... so is that really how it works?

I mean, how are you actually supposed to handle buying things on an installment plan at a checkout counter? I always assumed you'd just swipe the card and select the number of payments on the screen...

alright, so my plan is basically just to use Diners Club to pick up a new car with a 3-year repayment plan, looking at a price tag of about $3000, and then maybe also grab some crypto in a few months worth about $333...
