...just rolled back from Southside... New Order actually sounded pretty killer live, even though Bernard Sumner looked like he’d been through the wringer because their set got cut short. The Cure played before them and ran way over their allotted time, so Order had to trim their set down. All in all, definitely worth dropping the cash just to catch them in person once in a while.🙂

...and now people want to act like I'm out here spreading nothing but fake news...
urbannomad30 said:+ kenneth collins8 is kind of a big deal, honestly. he predicted the Swansa reunion and their show here in Washington, D.C. way before it actually went down/is going down 😁
...look, I'm no big shot, just someone who loves music. It’s all just a mix of being obsessed with the stuff and knowing Michael from Swansa... I really owe a lot to the people putting on shows for "alternative" bands like Swansa—especially Mati Skugora... seriously, you have to pull all that off basically on a bicycle... 😉 ...as for Swansa playing in D.C., don't even doubt it... once they set a date...

...I mean, why even act surprised?... It’s basically official info without the actual confirmation, but honestly, it’d be way better if the organizers just came out and said it themselves; they’d move tickets faster at those lower prices, and hey, it helps them stack enough cash to cover the upfront deposits for those bands...
...Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, Portishead, and Fatboy Slim are supposedly locked in...🙂

Tyler Howard46 said:People just record stuff because they love hoarding it, you know? Just keeping it for themselves so twenty years later they can brag about having those rare clips from when the band first played in NYC.
...let's say I have a recording of an entire show from Austin back in 2003. They were playing at a club, and I was filming straight on digital right in front of the stage. I actually had the green light from the band—from Jazz, Geordie, and Raven himself. The deal was strictly that this footage would never be used for profit, because honestly, it’s one of the best bootlegs out there. If that thing ever leaked onto the internet... man. Seven years later, Jazz would still be incredibly grateful that I actually kept my word...

...the guy actually composed a symphony in American about the history of North American relations... he’s got a gig coming up soon conducting an orchestra at Carnegie Hall... it would be a killer joke if it weren't true... more info coming soon...

and from what I can hear, it's not sold out yet? Or what?
...honestly, better if it isn't sold out. I really don't feel like being crushed at a concert for my favorite band by a bunch of idiots who only know two and a half songs by Killing Joke... and yeah, obviously, one of them is Love Like Blood...😠

amberorca14 said:those Eighties tracks aren't even on the setlist
and honestly, neither is Love Like Blood or a bunch of other stuff, but it looks like it's gonna be killer anyway
not really sure what the deal is with the new album either—it’s barely getting any love in the setlist
sorry for the double post, the server's being a pain in the ass
...out of 18 songs, 7 are from the new album, which, if you ask me, is freaking awesome because it hits every single stylistic note they've ever played throughout their whole career...

so i was thinking about that metallica fan... honestly? kind of a vibe. just sitting there, probably wearing a faded tour shirt from like ninety-four, acting like they invented heavy metal. it's funny how people get so intense about it. you know, the type of person who thinks anything else is just noise. anyway, what's your take? is it passion or just being loud? Kenneth Collins8 says:
Bringing this back up again. 😁 So, I've been wondering about something... I heard some rumors that back in '95, there was supposed to be this big festival happening down in Santa Barbara where The Rolling Stones were slated to play, but the whole thing just got scrapped at the last minute. Also, I caught wind of something about R.E.M. playing in a place like Austin that same year, but nothing ever actually happened. Anyone out there actually remember any of that? 😁
So, I was thinking about that "Rock on Rock" festival back in 2002 over in some coastal town like Santa Barbara. Total disaster waiting to happen. They were supposed to have The Rolling Stones headlining the whole thing, but the band never even showed up. Turns out the promoters pulled a classic move and didn't pay their fee. I actually remember getting an email from J.J. Burnel just a day before the fest, basically telling us they weren't stepping foot on stage because the money hadn't cleared. Absolute mess.

Like, he actually lets the crowd sing along all over again. 😁
The review for that London show says everything was pure genius, except they're low-key salty because he wore a shirt with his own face on it during the encore. 😁😁😁
Total midlife crisis vibes. 😁
...you should've seen him backstage wearing a hairnet...😂

bummer about James 😢
man, I really hope they play "hard on for love" when they hit the States too 🙏 😲 😍
...not sure what their hourly rate looks like, but "hard on for love" is pretty much a staple in the setlist by now...they're gonna kill it at the big outdoor show, that's their first open-air gig with this lineup and they definitely don't want it to be a total flop...the US is one of their favorite spots, right up there with Tel Aviv...as for how the crowd reacts...they really know how to appreciate that energy...(vividcanyon2, hit me up on DM)...
...Nick Cave and the Bad Seed absolutely tore it up in Vienna... haven't seen them lose their minds like that in forever, especially Nick and Warren... during Into my Arms, Nick was basically flying across the stage, guitar or no guitar... after the show he mentioned how much he's looking forward to the US show because it's a "fuckin' beautiful place to play a concert"... only bummer for the Gallon Drunk fans is that James Johnston isn't on this tour... anyway, here's the setlist from Vienna:
Nick Cave Setlist / Lotus Eaters / Dig / Tupelo / Tupelo's Lesson / Red Right Hand / I Let Love In / The Mercy Seat / Deanna / Lia's Moonland / Midnight Man / Moonland / The Ship Song / We Call Upon The Author / Papa Won’t Leave You, Henry / More News From Nowhere
bis 1: The Lyre Of Orpheus / Get Ready For Love / Hard On For Love / Into My Arms
bis 2: Jesus Of The Moon / Stagger Lee

Robin Rodriguez5 said:Another headliner just dropped: The Chemical Brothers
...how many (expensive) hits did they have to take to book them?.. or maybe they just had some leftovers from last year's Happy Mondays set...😁
Ronald Cox75 said:Wow! Those witches are actually playing. Where do they even find these people...
...out of some dusty old relic... and now that "Salute to Ozzy" project is gonna be the headliner on day two...
Kimberly Walker79 said:🙂 Man, I could totally😍...as long as he plays both days.
...think about it. Day one could be Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, day two Grinderman. Hell, they could even throw in some solo sets from Mick Harvey, Conway Savage, or the rest of the crew... honestly, anything would be better than this ridiculous lineup of indie bands nobody’s ever heard of...
