I’m with him on this one—a doctor is a doctor. We should all be sticking to our own lanes, whether we're dealing with teeth, digestive issues, or anything else. But honestly? In my experience, way too many medical professionals look down on our field and underestimate what we actually know. And if you want to actually be good at what you do, you need that deep knowledge—the fact that there are seven different dental specialties should be enough proof of how massive this field really is. It's sad, but it's true—they only start treating us like real doctors when they're in pain or when their kids are hurting, because then they realize they don't have the training or the equipment to handle it themselves. That's my two cents on dentistry vs. general medicine!
Thanks!🙂 Maybe one of these sunny days I'll finally sign up for dental school—you never know!
Ugh! I just couldn't make them work for me—no matter how hard I tried. I stuck with them for about six months, but eventually, I hit a wall and had to switch over to soft lenses.

When I take my contacts out, I'm basically blind—everything is just a blur. But hey, that's normal, right? Since my eyes get all swollen under the lenses... Man, getting laser surgery feels like way too much for me right now. Thanks anyway.
Look, it’s really not that bad—just wait until you're old enough to start hunching over!😬 Yeah, surgery is a massive undertaking, but that's just how it is...

Nonexistent. In a place like Sweden, you could probably take five days off sick without even needing a doctor's note...😲

And if you're staring at a screen—like a TV or a computer monitor—don't sit there in a pitch-black room; turn a light on.
Storing lenses in saline? Are you kidding me? That stuff is strictly for rinsing!
placidstag17 said:Man, you're going for laser? What kind of prices are we talking about—is that covered by insurance or what? My prescription isn't even that crazy, but hey, if it's an option, why not?!
I'll look into laser once I actually have the cash to spare—probably in about a decade... lol. But yeah, regarding the cost, I heard it runs about $3,000 per eye. How bad is your prescription?

anyone who isn't into rock is beyond saving—no doubt about it🙂

I love booze and heavy rock and roll If everyone hates it, then it really hurts my soul And to stop that pain To numb the ache I guess I have to treat it The vaginal way!😬
A biopsy gives you a clear look at what kind of cells we're actually dealing with—whether they're benign or malignant. In the case of Hodgkin's lymphoma, you're looking at a cancer of the lymph nodes that typically hits younger people. In one instance I saw, only about 1% of the cells pulled during the puncture were actually malignant. Luckily, thanks to modern medicine, this is now considered a highly treatable disease.
I’m using those Aquafina lenses too, and honestly—they drive me crazy. Every time I put them in, my eyes start stinging, and after just four or five hours, they feel incredibly dry. I’ve been using the Complete solution—nothing fancy, just the standard stuff—but it doesn't help much. Once I finally get LASIK, I am getting rid of this junk for good!
