so I’m not even jealous—that would be pretty stupid, wouldn't it?
just re-read the post and you'll see that meetings and deadlines were mentioned in general terms
and look, Mike there are people out there grinding 16 hours a day just to hit their targets and prep for meetings, only getting a day or two off a month
if they actually earned it
and on top of all that, you've got other life responsibilities to juggle besides just strictly business

friendly advice: stop playing the victim and stop envying others
you never truly know what kind of personal demons someone is hiding behind closed doors😉

🤣 Look, I'm not pitying myself🤣 oh my god I am purely, absolutely envious of you😁 I was basically wishing for that kind of job—you know, the whole "meetings and deadlines" lifestyle... we're totally on the same page... thanks for the advice, though; I know it's well-intentioned and just incredibly wise😘

Are you just jealous?
Do you actually know anything about me?
Is this pure envy?
Because you know I've got it made?
🤣 🤣 🤣

Look, you brought up deadlines and meetings and all that corporate nonsense... compared to my actual responsibilities, that stuff sounds like a vacation, so trust me, I'm not the one envious here.😳
Get this through your head: you don't have a clue what my life is actually like.

How can you even say that😕
Nice job quoting and responding with such grace and intelligence.

Man, what is happening today? I feel like I've slipped into some parallel universe.🙂

You were even told you'd get a more detailed breakdown once things settle down.
Look, some of us actually have jobs with deadlines, meetings, and all those other little distractions.😉

I don't think I ever actually received an answer, and honestly, I don't think you understood what I was getting at. My point was about the entire structure of this discussion, from start to finish.

As for work, I'm actually pretty envious.😳 My job is way more intense than just sitting through meetings and hitting deadlines—don't even get me started on the "fun" side of things.👎
What exactly is Glucosamine sulfate? in Health ·
A debate recently kicked off on one of the threads regarding Glucosamine sulfate—specifically its exact chemical makeup and what it actually is.
During a consultation with my physiatrist, I was told that this Glucosamine sulfate actually falls under the category of corticosteroids, which naturally caused some skepticism and mockery from certain forum members who love to argue about chemistry.
I did a bit of digging online, and honestly, I couldn't find any mention of that specific claim anywhere. What I *did* find, however, is that it’s used to treat and prevent things like osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. As I kept searching, I stumbled upon info stating there are two main groups of drugs used for those conditions: steroids and non-steroids.
Can someone who actually knows their stuff weigh in here? Which group does Glucosamine sulfate belong to? And if it really is a corticosteroid, why isn't that information listed anywhere 😕?

To me, these kinds of issues usually just pop up when I'm not "fully prepared"—you know, when things aren't quite lubricated enough.

Well, why wouldn't they? It's not like any of us are supposed to just sit here and play "medical expert" to diagnose what's going on.
It’s most likely just irritation since blood flow increases to the pelvic region during intercourse, but honestly, overreacting to everything isn't healthy either. If she wasn't worried, she wouldn't be asking, and frankly, who else is actually in a position to help her besides professionals?...🤔

diet😕
what? why?
got all mixed up, did you?😬

Rachel Brooks63 mentioned you were on that UN diet, if I caught that right.

It’s not about having delusions; I’m simply sharing what I know, though I am perfectly open to other suggestions—suggestions which, specifically, I haven't actually received here, other than being told that everything I wrote is blatant nonsense. Sorry, but that's not how this works!😠
I think it's incredibly rude to call someone out for talking nonsense, and then when that person tries to back up their "nonsense" with actual facts, you just respond with, "I'll answer you whenever I feel like it, but you're still stupid"... you know what I mean?👎

Anyway, I started a new thread about glucosamine, so please chime in if anyone here knows more than we do.

In short, 🍿

My public reaction was just a direct response to her public move directed at me... whatever. 😘

Unfortunately, there is no sequel, so you can go right back to your diet. 😛.

I honestly think I'm done commenting here; you’ve completely lost the plot and started spinning every single thing into some wild conspiracy... claiming I insult people, attacking some imaginary doctor (seriously, if you just did a quick Google search, you'd realize this "doctor" doesn't even exist), accusing me of prejudice, and then twisting my private messages😍 just to try and drag me down to "your level"😂... good grief, give me a break.🙂
Anyway, thanks for the exhaustive lecture.👍
Have a nice... whatever you do.👋

@ezop

You should definitely head to a primary care physician, just like everyone else here suggested, and get all those tests ordered.
While there’s a chance this could be neurological, what you’re describing sounds exactly like what I deal with—and what my mom dealt with, too—since we both have degenerative issues in our hands. Don't go spiraling into thoughts about neurological diseases just yet; just go through the diagnostic process step by step and let God handle the rest.😘

Angela Wright, do you honestly believe that over-the-counter herbal supplements would actually contain a dangerous substance like a corticosteroid? 😉

Look, I’m no biochemistry expert, but common sense tells me something just doesn't add up in your theory.

I don't think Glucosamine sulfate counts as an herbal supplement.

On another note, my mother is currently on a corticosteroid (dexamethasone) to deal with brain edema, and the doctors at the hospital told us she can't be weaned off it anymore because her adrenal glands—which are supposed to naturally produce steroids—have essentially shut down from long-term dexamethasone use. So, where do we draw the line between what's "natural" and what isn't?
The whole thing you're calling my "theory" is incredibly nuanced, and frankly, we need a medical professional to step in and break this down for us properly.
Maybe once Jose Miller3 gets a chance to talk with the doctor involved, he can provide a clearer explanation, so let's just hang tight for now.
I'm starting a new thread for this discussion since we've gone completely off-topic here.

Rachel Brooks63 said:Are you seriously trying to drain me of both a) my entire supply of patience and b) everything I know about managing inflammatory diseases?🙂

I honestly don't know if I'll have the bandwidth today to tackle everything you dumped on me in that last post. Plus, there's the question of whether you'll actually bother to read or listen to what I have to say. Regardless, I'll give it my best shot, but I'm not making any promises on timing.

And as for our "distinguished" doctor, I'll just refer to them as 🙂

Check your PM for my full response.

But since I want everyone else here to see this:

I have zero intention of messing with your precious patience, and frankly, I don't expect anything from you at all😘 because what I've managed to dig up through my own research is more than enough... does that make you feel better?😛

So, I was digging through the Twinlab website looking at their info on Glucosamine sulfate and
I decided to copy-paste this snippet that seems to imply what Glucosamine sulfate actually does:

The impact of anti-inflammatory drugs

Most of the common medications used today, specifically non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (like Ibuprofen), come with a whole host of side effects such as: ...

http://209.85.129.104/search?q=cache...ient=firefox-a

And here is the page listing STEROIDAL ANTI-RHEUMATICS

along with some technical definitions and treatment methods:

Basically, treating rheumatoid arthritis still involves corticosteroids, regardless of how you slice it...

My theory? They don't give Glucosamine sulfate a straight description because of marketing. If they mention steroids entering the body, people will freak out and sales will tank. It's like they're trying to sugarcoat it in the Twinlab description by being vague. It looks like Glucosamine sulfate might actually contain corticosteroids, just in much smaller amounts than the other steroid drugs on that list, acting more like a preventative therapy.

Jose Miller3?🍿

Rachel Brooks63 said:For anyone wondering, glucosamine is an amino sugar. It acts as a precursor in the biochemical synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, which are some of the most critical components of cartilage.

There is absolutely zero connection—neither chemical nor biological—between this and corticosteroids, those complex organic steroid molecules used in medicine as glucocorticoid receptor agonists.

🙂

EDIT: Honestly, I’d love to get the full name of the doctor who clearly lacks a basic understanding of chemistry via PM. I wouldn't mind having a little chat with her, if you don't find that too awkward.

Glucosamine sulfate (like the stuff we pick up from Natural Wealth, for instance) actually includes chondroitin sulfate, which I suppose could potentially be a corticosteroid, though I really can't say for sure. What I do know is that my doctor explicitly told me that this Glucosamine sulfate (we were talking about the Natural Wealth version) actually falls under the category of corticosteroids. Now, whether she meant the entire composition of the Natural Wealth supplement or just the ingredient itself, I have no idea.😕 I'll send you the doctor's name via PM, and I'll shoot over her number as soon as I track it down.

Rachel Brooks63 said:Did your physical therapist actually tell you that glucosamine sulfate is some kind of corticosteroid?

Brilliant. 😍

Just so we're clear, my comment has absolutely nothing to do with my role as a moderator, for the record. 🙂

If you want, send me a full name and phone number via DM, and you can go ask them yourself.
The woman in question was a lead researcher for a major clinical trial on Glucosamine sulfate right here in the States.
Glucosamine sulfate falls right into the corticosteroid category, honey.🙄

Good grief, please just spare me the nonsense. Give it a rest, will you? 🙂

Why don't you try being a little less rude? Just because you hold a moderator position doesn't give you the right to make comments like that😠! For all I know, besides dealing with all the other medical garbage here, I actually have some firsthand experience with this stuff since I went out of my way to ask a physical therapist😘

Linda Jones71 said:At first, I thought it was kind of funny, but after spilling coffee on myself and my surroundings a few times and breaking some glasses, I'm starting to get genuinely worried.
For about two months now, I've been feeling this weakness—a slight stiffness in my fingers, and honestly, I can't even feel anything properly, like the tips of my fingers have gone numb. These symptoms are subtle, but the consequences are obvious.😬
I'm 47, which isn't exactly "old age" territory where you start shaking uncontrollably.
It’s becoming an issue at work, too, because my grip just... slips.
Anyone have any ideas???

Go get a referral for hand X-rays. You're likely looking at the early stages of degenerative changes, like rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis.
Do your hands feel stiff in the morning, making it hard to make a fist because of the pain? That’s usually the giveaway. If it helps, take comfort in knowing you're noticing this right around the age when these things typically start cropping up. I'm only 30 and already seeing signs of degeneration. Things have improved for me since I started hitting the gym, doing hand exercises, and using those rubber grip strengtheners. You can slow the progression down (using things like Glucosamine sulfate and staying active), but it is progressive.👎

I honestly don't know if they even sent my samples off for molecular analysis because absolutely nobody has said a word to me. I know for a fact I haven't received those results yet, and it's already been two months since the surgery.
Whatever, I'm going to start pushing things along myself to figure out where I actually stand.

😱 Good grief, why on earth did you wait this long?😲 Tomorrow, grab the phone and start calling. Demand those results from the hospital, and if they play games, start threatening them with the local news and the papers. If they won't cooperate, take matters into your own hands and try to get everything done through a private clinic instead.
slyseal28 said:When you're dealing with a sarcoma biopsy, it’s incredibly easy to misinterpret the results. You can't just take a surface-level reading and call it a day; you absolutely have to run a molecular genetic analysis to confirm that a chromosomal translocation has actually occurred.
Here’s the link to the spreadsheet detailing the clinical and pathological characteristics of SYT-SSX.

I honestly cannot believe they didn't pull the trigger on that. 😲

😲 I swear, every single day I get more and more terrified by how unprofessional things have become in our hospitals. It’s enough to make you just sit down and burst into tears from pure frustration.🙂
