How Valium secretly destroys lives in Health ·
Man, my girl even offered me some of her stuff just so I could finally chill out and get these muscles to relax. She was saying it hits way smoother than anything else out there—says she even takes a hit herself every now and then.

What are all the other people whining about?
Do you actually have an issue with the priest? Or are you just repeating everyone else's complaints?

I’ve seen the same thing happen. Most people I’ve actually talked to have already had a massive blowout with him. He’s just this young, arrogant prick acting like he’s some big shot when he’s really nothing. Honestly, even the kids can't stand the guy.
Look, I don't have a choice. It is what it is.
Man, looking back at when I was getting my kid baptized... honestly, everything was such a disaster. Dealing with him and that whole damn church situation? Total nightmare. Just one headache after another.

Tyler Ruiz502 said:Well, look—it isn't exactly a legal requirement or anything, but they definitely try to nudge them toward church. It usually starts with little things, you know? Like invitations to the food drives, the Saint Nicholas celebrations, Christmas services, or joining the choir... they definitely find ways to encourage it. And then there's the whole "extra credit" thing and those kinds of incentives—I guess it just depends on the family and how much they care about that stuff.

But does every single one of them have to go to communion?
Because we’ve got a total disaster for a Pope right now🙂 he’s basically running a Gestapo regime. Everyone just blindly follows his lead.

So, what's the deal with religious studies? If a kid is signed up for religion classes at school, does that mean they're basically forced to hit up Mass every single Sunday?

Lately, I’ve been getting this freakish sensation, like my heart just stops dead out of nowhere, it's honestly terrifying
I can't even tell if it's just a skipped beat or some sudden panic attack hitting me out of left field
But man, it scares the hell out of me. I start breaking out in a cold sweat from the sheer terror and then my heart just starts absolutely hammering against my ribs
It actually just happened a few minutes ago—I was just sitting there at my desk when it hit me again

So I've been messing around with these Bach flower essences for a bit because my doctor told me to ditch the pills and try something else, but honestly? I'm seeing zero difference at all.

Look, there isn't a single soul out there who isn't your actual cardiologist that should be giving you unsolicited advice on your meds... It's unprofessional as hell.

My doctor told me the exact same thing over two years ago—stop taking it immediately because it was going to wreck my liver in no time.

Gregory Turner71 said:Shortness of breath is usually just a symptom of a panic attack... You dealing with anxiety issues or something? I only felt that tightness when I freaked out about an arrhythmia because I had no clue what was happening to me. That's why I'm asking.

Anyway, don't sweat it. It's smart that you're seeing a cardiologist—you never mess around with your heart—but since your VA tests, EKG, and Holter monitor all came back totally clean without anything alarming, there really isn't any reason to panic.

Yeah. It keeps things "down," but once your body gets used to it, if you suddenly quit cold turkey, your levels will spike "up." You gotta be careful with beta blockers.

I've been on it for almost 3 years now, and even when I forget a dose, I don't notice anything at all.
I keep reading how you aren't supposed to just stop taking it on your own, but my doctor told me I was basically just poisoning myself with it when I went in for an abdominal ultrasound, so I took her advice and just stopped.

Gregory Turner71 said:The fact that your ultrasound came back clean is actually pretty promising, so I wouldn't sweat it too much. That skipping sensation you're feeling? Yeah, it's annoying as hell, but it’s not dangerous. I hit around 30,000 of those skips on my last Holter monitor and I'm still kicking. Is it possible that just being terrified of the skipping sensation could trigger a full-blown panic attack? Also, when did you get your thyroid checked?

And watch out with the Bisoprolol 2.5 mg. If you miss a dose, your heart is gonna go absolutely haywire.

What's the deal with the Bisoprolol 2.5 mg anyway?

Man, I deal with the exact same thing.
It's a total nightmare. My heart starts absolutely hammering against my ribs, like it's trying to break out, and you can feel your pulse just thumping like crazy in your throat.

Honestly, I’ve been dealing with this same crap for ages. My doctor just casually suggested I pop some Valium before bed—it’s always the easiest thing for them to say, right? But then you’re left wondering what happens once you’re hooked on that stuff.
That’s not even a real solution.
The feeling is just straight-up horrific. For a while now, it's been the same exact thing every single night right when I'm drifting off. Like, I'll be falling asleep and suddenly—BAM—I jerk awake with this insane sensation, my heart just absolutely hammering against my ribs.
I even bought those herbal drops thinking I could avoid shoving more pills down my throat, but honestly? I haven't seen any damn improvement.
Raymond Smith53 said:Not all tumors respond to the same kind of "chemo," so...

Yeah, obviously.
Thanks for the input, I guess.
We'll know more once they sit down with the oncologist on the 26th.
Thanks for the input, everyone
So, roughly how long does the chemo grind actually last?
Raymond Smith53 said:Look, usually the chemo itself doesn't cause massive pain on its own. It’s more about how people handle it—some breeze through while others get absolutely wrecked by the nausea and diarrhea. You gotta chug water to protect your kidneys, too. The goal is basically to flush that stuff out of your system as fast as possible. Most people don't actually hit those target numbers they give you (like 2-3 liters a day), but you really need to push it as much as you can. And remember, that counts everything—fruit, tea, soup, juice, milk, whatever. You also have to be super careful about where you go; grab the best face masks you can find because chemo nukes your immune system. It wipes out anything that divides quickly, and that includes your white blood cells.

I honestly have no clue why she was hurting like that. Her bones were aching so bad it felt like her whole body was just falling apart. And for real, why didn't anyone tell her anything during the last visit?
Raymond Smith53 said:Look, you can always go out and grab a second opinion. As for whether chemo actually makes sense... man, that depends on a million things. Your overall health, how old you are, if you even have the will to fight, the specific type of tumor... it's complicated.
Since oncologists already have all those details in front of them when they suggest chemo—and let's be real, they don't just offer it to everyone because it's definitely not some cheap magic pill like an Andol—they're probably assuming it'll actually do something. Either extend life or at least make what's left of it suck a little less.

When she got diagnosed back in December 2013, she had the gynecological surgery right away. They told her if she could just hang in there for two years without being totally miserable from nausea, she'd be okay. Well, here we are five years later and she's still kicking. After the surgery, she did radiation and one round of chemo, but then she bailed on the rest because the pain was so insane she thought she was gonna die. Now that they've offered her chemo again, they told her they'd give her meds for the pain and emphasized that she absolutely has to chug massive amounts of water. Apparently, that's huge.
What else is a big deal when it comes to chemo?
Michelle Perez40 said:Look, I’m no doctor. You really need to be asking an Oncologist who’s actually running the show here.
But honestly? It’s always worth giving the treatment another shot.

She went to see the Oncologist, but it wasn't even her regular one—just some random doc who didn't say anything useful at all. Basically just said things have gotten worse, which she can clearly see for herself, and mentioned she ended up in the ER one day, so maybe try chemo again.
Is any of this even worth the struggle? Does it make sense?
We've been dealing with this whole mess for four and a half years now.
That’s not my own report (Thank God), but basically, the pelvic area and the area around the lungs are hit.
The diagnosis has been on the table for a while now—uterine cancer was officially diagnosed four and a half years ago. She had surgery, then about two years later in 2016, it spread to part of the lung. Things stayed relatively stable after that, but everything took a turn for the worse a few days ago, and the PET CT scan confirmed it.
The oncologist said the only option left is chemo toward the end of June.
What can anyone actually expect from all this? Is the end near?
Raymond Smith53 said:Yeah, that doesn't sound great at all. It means there's some "buildup" in nodes where nothing was there before, which basically means the tumor probably spread—you know, metastasis.

I see that, but where exactly did it spread to? Like, is it the Lung?
Can someone who actually knows what they're looking at decode this report for me?

Newly developed pathological FDG metabolism in the newly enlarged nodes within the mediastinum, para-aortic, left hilar, and interlobar regions suggests active malignant disease and secondary effects.
Left parietal arachnoid cyst, showing no changes compared to the last check-up.
Sporadic diverticulosis in the sigmoid colon.
An old, stable compressive fracture of the T5 vertebral body, mostly due to osteoporosis.

Oh, I forgot to mention—my tumor markers have also doubled.

Thanks

Man, what kind of fury are we even talking about here?
Seriously, how many times have I been absolutely shredded by some stray cat? Left me bleeding for days with scratches that looked like little messages carved into my skin.
And don't even get me started on that 80-pound beast of a dog—some crazy mix of a Mastiff and a wolf—that lunged at me right in the middle of the street and snatched me up.
But hey, I’m still standing. Never had a single problem.
