If memory serves me correctly, the last time we saw Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen fighting from such a lowly position on the grid was during the Japanese Grand Prix 2005, and one has to wonder if history is simply destined to repeat itself, given how the final results ended up looking back then 😁

It really does feel like we are reaching the end, doesn't it? I was sitting here thinking that maybe Jessica Ramos12 was going to take the win, only to see Sebastian Vettel finish in second place. One must truly offer thanks to Sebastian, wouldn't you agree? 🙏
I wonder, what exactly is going on with Lewis Hamilton lately?
It truly feels as though his fame has somehow clouded his judgment entirely...
Alonso performed quite masterfully 😂

John Doe in the Fortinbras Final 😁

It isn't quite that it was undeserved, though one might wonder about the math: Jessica Ramos12 holds the most secondary points, Mladen secured the highest number of primary points, and graniteharbor502 stands as the second best in both categories combined

I am like 101% certain about that.

It isn't necessarily a disaster, really; one might simply say that a dog has had an accident in the yard...

vividlynx68 said:Obviously it's better. What the previous posters were trying to get at—and what I completely agree with—is that modern Formula 1 has entirely stripped the courage and grit out of the equation for winning.

Sure, maybe someone breaks a finger or a rib during a botched, gutsy overtake now and then—but by that logic, let's just ban tackling in football, aggressive defense in handball, riding anything over five feet tall, or even throwing punches in boxing.

Bravery has been a defining factor in motorsport since its inception; today, it's virtually non-existent.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's gone entirely; rather, it is simply that today, reckless drivers like Pastor Maldonado aren't causing fatal accidents or forcing others into them. Safety, in and of itself, isn't a bad thing. What is problematic, perhaps, are things like those asphalt runoff areas—we really ought to bring back the gravel traps. The same could be said for the excessive restrictions placed on car development and such matters.

Honestly, the sheer amount of nonsense one encounters on this forum is staggering 🙄
I truly hope we have all reached a level of maturity where we can collectively admit that it is far better for drivers to survive a crash than to lose their lives. If I were ever forced to choose between life and death, I would choose life, every single time.

Vergne— Is there anything more perplexing than the trajectory of Kvyat? One finds oneself staring at the data, wondering if we truly grasped the essence of his talent when he first arrived on the scene. It makes one ponder: does a driver’s peak ever truly reflect their ceiling, or are we merely witnessing a series of unfortunate circumstances playing out in real time?

Vettel

It appears that matters remain unresolved, does it not? One finds oneself staring at the situation, wondering if we shall ever reach a definitive conclusion or if we are destined to linger in this state of perpetual uncertainty. 👍

And furthermore, would I even have the capacity to retain all that information? 🤷

Well, hopefully, you’ll find a way to remember this moment.

Edward Howard2 said:No, that isn't it... I was merely asking if you were placing bets... because when I witnessed how you suddenly, and quite unprovoked, cast such negative judgment upon my betting slips, my initial thought was... look at this one... 😲 this person might be wagering more 😲, this one likely wagers more skillfully... 😲 and this one is certainly raking in huge sums of cash... 😲 and doing so at every single race... 😲 but alas, I suppose I was mistaken... 🤷

I offered my congratulations on your win. After all, the owners of those massive gambling corporations live incredibly lavish lifestyles off the money that ordinary Americans like yourself funnel into their accounts. And please, believe me when I say that I am firmly on your side; I would love nothing more than to see you absolutely clean them out.

But truly... how are things looking on your end? Are you actually cashing anything out? 🍿

Haven't I already mentioned that I don't actually bet? 🙄

I find myself occasionally drawn to the art of provocation, particularly when it involves certain specific personalities.

ruggedhawk20 said:Jean Maria Belestarie and those Elf mercenaries... they’re practically thick as thieves. Every single one of them was planted into the top-tier teams, all bankrolled by the big boss without a second thought. Rosberg, however, never enjoyed that kind of Elf patronage, and isn't that the sole reason why such a noble world champion didn't claim his title much sooner than age 82?

The truth of the matter runs far deeper than mere, dry statistics, though I suppose dry statistics will always yield a precise result. And that result remains: Keke Rosberg = world champion.

And that is indisputable. An absolute, undeniable truth.

Any other theories suggesting that Rosberg isn't a world champion are nothing more than guesswork, alchemy, or pure metaphysics...

I know for a fact that you actually watched the races. What I find curious is why someone who hasn't even seen the footage has the audacity to disparage one of the few drivers who actually managed to secure a championship while driving an inferior car.

Jason Campbell70 said:What was the very last race Didier Pironi competed in, and how many Grands Prix would it have taken for Nico Rosberg to overtake him?
Furthermore, at which specific race did Rosberg secure his first career victory—which also happened to be his solitary win of that season?
And that single win stood as one of only five victories throughout his entire nine-season career in Formula 1.
A true master behind the wheel, without question.
And an aristocrat, naturally. 😍

I find myself repeating my inquiry (as I suspect you might not have closely followed the 1982 season):
How many races did Rosberg lead during the 1982 campaign?
And what is the immediate association that comes to mind when I mention the colors blue and red?

swifttiger75 said:Not quite, though it seems perfectly obvious that our little aristocrat will be looking to squeeze every bit of value out of every single one of Hamilton's DNFs. After all, didn't Hamilton need about five or six races just to recover from what happened in Australia? Now, he’ll likely need just as many to make up for Canada, and with Monaco still on the horizon, Hamilton certainly has his work cut out for him if he intends to live up to those massive expectations! Meanwhile, isn't Rosberg doing exactly what is expected of him? Perhaps, for some, even a bit too perfectly!

In all seriousness, the team's 👍
