Best car liveries and most beautiful cars? in Formula 1 ·

Oh, come on, blue has always been the signature color for Williams, hasn't it? 😉

That MF1 looks incredibly similar to a McLaren, doesn't it?

I wonder, why hasn't anyone opted for a green livery lately?😲

British racing Green 🙂 🙂
It feels like it's been ages since Jaguar rocked that look... I’d honestly love to see that classic color make a comeback on the grid.😉

haha... Blazicko was saying, "We nearly froze to death out in the desert yesterday, which isn't exactly what you'd expect." 🤣🤣🤣

I usually stick to the live timing too, though I mostly just focus on the lap times. I'll only really dive into the commentary if something interesting happens—you know, like when Kimi does something unexpected. 😛

If it’s actually like what you're saying, then there isn't much point in even bothering with the chat, is there? 😛

Or maybe they'll start calling a hairpin turn a "diagonal slope" instead, haha.

Ashley Cook64 said:that if I overanalyze that NASCAR coverage, I’ve been scrolling through it and honestly, there are so many typos everywhere. Plus, some of the translations are just bizarre—it feels like they just run the text through a translator and then slap an English comment over the image. 😕The quality really isn't their strong suit; they'll pick a great photo only to overlay it with a text color that makes it impossible to read. 👎Overall, it just doesn't hold up compared to the standards you'd see in American or Italian publications, but hopefully, they'll get their act together eventually.

Well, you know what they say—the early birds catch the worm.😉
Blazick mentioned that starting with the next issue, they're aiming for a 1:1 replica of the American edition, and they're going to try their hardest to minimize those translation errors.👍

Let's hope he's right!🙂

Yeah, so NASCAR finally launched an American edition. The translation feels solid enough, though I can't help but wonder if the ad density is actually where it should be—maybe we're getting fewer commercials than the original version? It'll probably cost about $6.75
.
Personally, I’m pretty happy with it. 🙂

Hey feraldriver, and by the way:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

No, for now, it stays at two race weekends (though there’s some chatter about potentially moving back to one)

urbanmoose3 said:I'm just not sure... do you honestly believe they'll make more progress by sticking with V8 engines? Especially those manufacturers who don't have much history with that kind of setup..

I wasn't suggesting that everyone would switch over.
If you want to see what I mean, just ask Ford how long they've been perfecting their V8 engines. 😉

urbanmoose3 said:Why not..? I still remember back in '98 when the Mercedes was pushing around 780 HP and everyone thought they had seen it all... and that was just the V10 engine.

We'll see about that,
they'll probably be hitting somewhere around 750-800 horsepower by the time we get to Australia.
And by the end of the year? We could easily be looking at 830-850. 😉

Brandon Ramos4 said:The word on the street is they'll be pushing about 700 horsepower—which would be a massive drop of nearly 200 compared to what those current V10 engines are putting out.

I don't buy it; there's just no way they're going to be that underwhelming.

True, though the rumor mill was suggesting Honda might establish a B-team while Coca-Cola stepped in to sponsor Williams.

That’s exactly my point! Once the McLaren deal with BMW wraps up, we won't be looking at 11 teams anymore—it'll drop down to 10 next season (just check the original post!).

Sure, but there's already talk about a new team joining Formula 1, so we might actually end up back at 11.

Petition to save Haas... in Formula 1 ·
rustystag7 said:I’m definitely on board with this!!

But I’d love to get your collective take on something, mainly because I found myself in quite a heated debate with a friend the other day...
He’s insisting—and honestly, I think he's being a bit thick here—that since the new Haas setup will essentially function like the old Minardi, they'll just stick to the same engines and a different chassis. His logic is that they won't bother investing heavily because the Oracle team will always be the top priority. He's basically arguing that the secondary car will just be a glorified development tool and won't be much of an upgrade over what we've seen from the bottom tier lately.

My take? I think it's more straightforward than that. They'll likely use the same engines and chassis architecture, but there isn't some grand, complicated philosophy at play; they'll test, develop, and eventually roll out new upgrades across all four cars on the grid. It's just how progress works, right?

What do you all think?

For what it's worth, I actually think it would have been great if Ferrari had picked up the reins instead. Their engines are solid—even if they aren't the most reliable—and they could have paired them with two high-caliber drivers capable of fighting for a top ten spot. I’m thinking someone like Alonso first, and then maybe Wurz.

That seems like nonsense to me. We're looking at having two nearly identical Oracle teams, and surely it's in their best interest to have that brand presence doubled rather than limited to just one car.😉
Petition to save Haas... in Formula 1 ·
Well, I’ve officially signed off on it too. It’s a shame that none of this seems to actually solve the underlying issues, isn't it? 😢

With sponsors stepping in to slap their names on the cars, it’s highly unlikely that Haas will remain even a fraction of what it used to be. There is just far too much money flowing through the system now 😢

I can't help but wonder how all these moving parts are going to settle... I have my doubts about whether having two teams under the Oracle banner would ever be permitted. Perhaps we'll see something like Red Bull Racing, but this whole Bridgestone-Michelin-Ferrari-Cosworth setup feels incredibly strange. My guess? Everything will likely pivot toward a Bridgestone-Ferrari (Petronas) branding by the end of the year...
