Eric Clark88 said:all those statements they made just five or ten minutes after the race ended? They’ve all been filtered through the Public Relations Department machinery, so I don't take much of what they say at face value.

Actually, a good portion of those comments were made right in front of the cameras in the media pen, so there isn't quite as much room for PR bullshit there, is there?😉

Honestly, the most dangerous thing for any driver coming up behind is trying to guess which way a spinning car is going to slide. Just look back at that last race in Austin—I think it was Suzuka back in 2001—where Kimi started spinning right in front of Alesi, and he’s swerving left, then right, then left again, before slamming straight into Kimi.
Why did that happen? Well, because Kimi had zero control over his Sauber, and Alesi simply couldn't predict the trajectory; in his frantic attempt to dodge him, he ended up hitting him regardless.

And if you want another example from last year, remember when Webber lost it in the rain and plowed right into Rosberg, who was desperately trying to get out of the way but just couldn't make it? There was so much debate back then about whether Webber should have just slammed on the brakes and stayed put instead of letting his car coast wildly across the track.

It's precisely because of scenarios like these that we have rules regarding "safe" reentry into the race. If Hamilton was being impatient, that's entirely on him. But let's be real: it was crystal clear that he should have waited for the traffic to clear before turning onto the track, without a shadow of a doubt.

So, in terms of logic? Zero points.

No, I think you're the one who's mistaken here.

Even if everyone else did have to go wide, they’d be dodging a stationary car. There is a massive, fundamental difference between navigating around a car that's sitting still and trying to react to a car spinning wildly out of control where you can't predict its trajectory for even a split second.

That’s why, logically speaking, I give that explanation a hundred percent. ☕

According to
"Incident" means any occurrence or series of occurrences involving one or more drivers, or any action by any driver, which is reported to the stewards by the race director (or noted by the stewards and referred to the race director for investigation) which:
- necessitated the suspension of a race under Articles 41;
- constituted a breach of these Sporting Regulations or
The Code
;
- caused a false start by one or more cars; - caused a collision; -
forced a driver off the track
;
....☕

And because that reentry wasn't safe, he ended up getting penalized.

That is precisely the point.😉
He really should have just waited for the pack to pass before attempting to swing back onto the circuit to rejoin the race.

Exactly so 😉

To the delight of all the Americans heading out to the race! 🙏🙏🙏
Roger Wright94 said:And I certainly hope so. A little heat wouldn't hurt right in the middle of summer, would it? Let's see if it actually manages to shake things up a bit.

Actually, it’s already starting to warm up today. 😁
Michael Lee4 said:I haven't even checked yet... though if you look at the official site for Sunday, they’ve photoshopped in plenty of sunshine. It's almost like they always try to predict the exact opposite of what actually happens, doesn't it? 🤷

Goodyear is expecting some seriously hot weather

So please, don't judge others by your own standards.😁

He’s just speaking for himself here.😛 😛 😛

Besides, there isn't even a dedicated thread for trolling here, so it's pretty obvious he's asking about someone else. 😬

And you've actually managed to contradict yourself a little bit here. 😁

🤣🤣🤣
I don't need to play the crawler; they love me just the way I am😛

What contradiction are we even talking about? 🤷

We might be a smaller group, but that just makes us even more special, doesn't it? 😍 😉 😛😛😛

Honestly, I don't think the ladies were even bringing up Formula 1 at all, were they?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just a quick follow-up on 😁 this

Actually, Monaco brings in quite a significant amount from the advertising rights tied to the track during the Grand Prix weekend itself.

In a perfect world, Bernie shouldn't be taking a single dime from the Belgians.
But then again, we all know that for Bernie, it’s always about the bottom line first, isn't it?😢 😢 😢

That's just how the world works these days.
Money, money, money...

If you look at Monaco, that's the only track that doesn't pay a penny to host the race.☕

Is anyone else dealing with this weirdly cropped feed on their streaming service? It feels like the F1 broadcast and the network logo have been chopped off by about 10% on my end...

Johnson isn't actually out; he's just under the weather. That’s the word I heard straight from the source.
As for Jordan, he’s struggling to collect any sponsorship money because everything is being routed through the Creator Group instead. 😉
