Ingrown hair or something more serious? in Women's Health ·
Oh, man, you just know some absolute legends are gonna show up the second you decide to perform "surgery" on an ingrown hair.

Luckily for me, I’ve already completely forgotten what that whole mess even looked like 🙂

Honestly, I’d bet it’s just an ingrown hair. When one of those things starts growing inward, you can usually feel this little pea-sized lump hiding under the skin. Pretty soon, you'll probably be able to actually see the hair trapped in there too. Once you spot it, just grab a sterilized needle, try to gently coax the hair out, and squeeze out whatever gunk has built up. But look, the whole thing isn't going away until you actually get that hair out of there.

I used to deal with nothing but ingrown hairs back when I was getting waxed at the salon. Ever since I switched to using my own dedicated bikini trimmer, the whole problem just totally vanished.
Bump on my labia: what could it be? in Women's Health ·
So, I ended up with this little bump on my labia after things got a bit too intense during sex one night. I went to see my OB-GYN, she gave me some Medtronic vaginal suppositories, and
it cleared right up.
Struggling to reach clitoral orgasm in Women's Health ·
I wouldn't say I have any issues reaching a clitoral orgasm, since I can basically get there in like ten seconds flat, but there's a catch—it only happens if I’m lying on my stomach with my hand tucked underneath me. If I’m on my back, my side, or standing up, there is zero chance of hitting that peak just through clitoral stimulation. It’s pretty obvious that I just need the weight of my own body pressing down on my hand to make it happen.

I’m totally with > on this one—after a vaginal orgasm, I definitely could go for more, but a clitoral one is just way, way more intense, and once that hits, I honestly just want to pass out immediately.
Donna Wood52 said:OBGYNs probably get a little thrill when a young, hot girl walks in for an exam, because no matter how hard they try to keep it strictly medical, there’s always going to be some level of sexuality involved. I’m not saying they all act like that, there are definitely doctors out there who just straight up hate women, and their favorite thing is to perform a D&C without any anesthesia at all, and while some people have actually witnessed it, it makes sense that there are others who are secretly turned on. 😁

You really can't generalize everyone. 😉

I’ve honestly never heard anyone say this before and I am genuinely shook 😱

A D&C is a legitimate medical procedure done in a hospital, not in some random doctor's office run by a guy who hates women and decides whatever he wants. Plus, the anesthesiologist is the one in charge of the sedation, not the OBGYN.

The doctor who did my D&C was honestly such a jerk during the ultrasound right before the procedure, like he wouldn't even look at me or say a word, he just talked to the nurse about the paperwork. But then he totally surprised me in the operating room. Right before the anesthesiologist knocked me out, while the nurses were busy prepping me and getting my legs in the stirrups, he stepped up and said, "I'm just going to do the exam, I won't start anything yet, don't be scared." He was pretty quiet during rounds too, but on the day I was being discharged, he made sure to tell me, "If you start bleeding, get to the ER immediately."

Same here

Nicole King30 said:Sorry, but this is total nonsense. Like, so a young girl comes in, spreads her legs on that table and has a yeast infection or something even grosser...and that's supposed to turn them on?
Doctors are trained to deal with the human body; they don't care. At least for the vast majority, though there are always exceptions.
Someone earlier made a good point, though—how do you girls even know if your doctor isn't a lesbian? And then she gets all excited when you walk in there half-naked? Did it never occur to you? 😁

😂

Honestly, any doctor can end up being easily turned on by women. It’s not just gynecologists, even though people love to generalize them since they're the ones dealing with female anatomy all day. But I mean, has it really not happened where someone was laid out on the exam table and instead of doing a routine pelvic exam or a swab, some creep decided to go for a lick 🤣? And wasn't there just a massive headline in the news recently about a dentist taking advantage of his patients while they were under anesthesia??
Regarding that whole thing with the dentist 😂 major props 👍

Honestly, there’s really no reason to be picking favorites based on whether a doctor is a guy or a girl. It’s not like their gender or how they look makes things awkward for me; my only real concern is just sitting there wondering if everything is actually fine or if I’ve got some underlying health issue going on.
Alex Patel96 said:I’ve been seeing a female OBGYN for years and honestly, I have zero complaints. But I would never, ever go to a guy. It just feels totally wrong to me. With a woman, I can actually relax, but being with a man? I’d literally die of embarrassment. God, that sounds even worse than being mugged!🤣

I seriously don't get how some women feel comfortable being checked out by a dude.

Personally, I've always stuck with female doctors. But then there was that time I had to go in for a D&C, and it was nothing but male doctors around me—not a single woman in sight for those three days (besides the nurses, obviously). After that ordeal, I realized I couldn't care less if the doctor is a man or a woman.

I never really felt awkward about it; it was more just this underlying anxiety about whether everything was okay. There’s honestly no better feeling than when your doctor tells you, "You're perfectly healthy."

Also, I don't bother with any special waxing before an appointment. I shave once a month right after my period, but the thought of grooming specifically for an exam doesn't even cross my mind. Like, hygiene matters way more than whether or not you have hair or how long it is.

He says good morning to me, and I say it back.
Then he asks if I'm doing alright, and I tell him no, and when he asks why, I just tell him because I'm terrified.
He actually laughed at that, which helped me chill out a little bit.
Anyway,my doctor is hands down the hairiest human being I have ever encountered in my life,,
seriously, looks like a freaking grizzly bear,😁
thankfully it doesn't take forever!
And here's my first big fail,
that little corner where you change.😢 I put my clothes on inside out.😢
Yeah, it literally couldn't get any worse than that.

😂 😂 😂 😂
I’ve honestly never had any issues with my ovaries before. But I just went in for my routine gynecological exam, and when she touched my right ovary during the palpation, I swear I thought I was going to pass out from the pain. The doctor mentioned it feels slightly enlarged and thinks it’s probably just a cyst. Since her office doesn't have an ultrasound machine on-site, I went ahead and booked one at a local clinic for May 19th. The weird thing is, I don't actually have any constant pain or any symptoms at all otherwise. I can definitely hang in there for another ten days until the ultrasound, but I'm wondering if I should still be doing my normal routine and hitting the gym or riding my bike, or if it would be smarter to just take it easy and play it safe for a bit?
