Selling fakes on Reddit - is it allowed or not? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Regarding the thread about selling clothing, the moderator Mokry stated:

If that’s really how things work—and we all know from experience that you can't just hawk knockoffs at a local flea market or a vendor stall—then why on earth is selling counterfeits permitted over in the Estée Lauder subforum? I mean, couldn't they just be transparent and label them as fakes?🤷 I'm just pointing out a few instances here, though there are plenty more if one cares to look:

Does this specific law apparently only apply to certain sections of Reddit?

P.S. I did try asking the moderator over in the Estée Lauder section nicely enough, but my inquiry was met with nothing but silence. So, I suppose I'll just ask here. And please, I am begging, could someone answer me without resorting to those usual tired critiques of my online persona, or throwing out the classic accusations of "trolling" as a way to justify a ban or a strike? That would be appreciated. Thank you.

Of course not. But once he actually sits down for the testing, things change.

The thing is, you’re really only confirming your own status at that point. You won't actually know if it was him. He could be carrying just about anything without even realizing it—it doesn't necessarily mean he's being dishonest or hiding something from you... but if you two aren't using protection, then I’d say if I were in your shoes, I would suggest that you both go get screened for STIs together. My partner, for whatever it's worth, isn't exactly the type to jump on that bandwagon. Usually, people handle these kinds of screenings through private labs, local clinics, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or maybe even seeing someone like Jim Thorpe in Chicago...

How can you actually be sure the guy you're dating is clean? Just because he tells you so? Or how do you know for certain your ex didn't pass anything along to you? Is it just based on his word?

Go get tested the moment your period ends. And if you're worried about symptoms, just Google it.
HIV testing in Health ·
For information regarding HIV, you can check here:

It lays out exactly what you'll need to do when it comes to getting your paperwork in order. As for rubella, my understanding is that the NIH handles that. Though, honestly, they might be able to assist with the HIV testing too... so, there you go, I've been helpful, haven't I? 😁

If I were you, I'd just give the Department of Public Health a call first; they’ll be your best bet for figuring out the specifics—the when, the where, and the how of the whole process.
If her blood pressure is staying within a normal range, then we’re likely looking at a cervical issue. I actually struggle with both hypertension and cervicobrachial syndrome myself, so I know exactly how draining this whole thing can be... though I have to say, this part about "nodules" doesn't quite sit right with me. In my experience, it's more about intense muscle tension in the neck; people call them nodules, but it's really just that phantom sensation—kind of like when you feel a lump in your throat, even though there isn't an actual physical object there.

And regarding what I deal with—every doctor I've seen has told me that almost everyone stuck behind a desk eventually develops these kinds of issues. It’s just a matter of timing; for some, it hits early, for others later, and the severity varies wildly from person to person. For instance, I don't deal with nausea, but the dizziness, the ringing in my ears, and that constant feeling of instability—like I'm walking on air—are incredibly frequent for me, even though my neurological tests come back perfectly fine. It's all linked back to the neck, basically because the brain isn't getting quite enough oxygen flow... I actually fainted twice before I finally got a diagnosis, and my physical therapist was able to pinpoint exactly what was happening right away, even before we ran any major tests.

Anyway, if that's indeed what's going on, try not to let the anxiety get the better of you too much at first. There's physical therapy on the horizon, which should help periodically. I've been through the whole gauntlet and I'm still managing, so if you ever need to pick my brain for more info, just shoot me a private message.

Keep us posted on what the doctors end up saying.
Any weather nerds in here? in Health ·
Good grief... here we go again with this topic of mine... whenever there’s a sudden, jarring shift in the weather—like how it was freezing solid just ten days ago and now suddenly it's actually warm—my blood pressure decides to spike, which isn't much of a surprise since it’s already high to begin with, and my head just starts throbbing endlessly!

I really can't stand the sun.

melloworca6 said:Honestly, just go back to the doctor and tell her she messed up the prescription. Don't let yourself get sick; this isn't some casual over-the-counter stuff, it's a regular therapy you need to stay on top of.

The fact that they can barely navigate a computer or basic software is their own damn problem.

No, you misunderstood—this whole mess started with an error from last week, and I actually went in to get it sorted out.

But now I've run into a wall because the system shows everywhere that I picked up my other medication last week, even though I didn't—and I take two different ones for blood pressure. Now, according to the doctor, she can't issue the refill because she’s being monitored by the higher-ups, and if she gives it to me, it looks like she double-dosed me... or whatever... I don't even know. I might try calling Medicare on Monday to see what they say. Maybe they won't try to convince me that I definitely picked it up when I have absolutely no memory of doing so.🙄
Because, let's be real, people lose their meds all the time, especially the elderly. Surely they don't just deny them a replacement? I highly doubt it.

melloworca6 said:I’m genuinely curious about how they plan to handle situations like this. You aren't some isolated incident, and I'm certain this will happen a million more times; I just wonder if patients will always be labeled as smokers in these scenarios.

So, there's this woman over on a women's health forum complaining that her OB-GYN "lost" her medical records and now they have no clue which prescription to write her.

If they don't have some kind of backup program or a centralized database, we might as well all just collectively walk into traffic.

Honestly, screw them—if I don't insist on getting a printed copy of every single lab result, I'm a fool. Let their systems crash and let them lose their files; at least I'll have my own little paper archive sitting right at home. I refuse to spend my life arguing with someone or having to prove that I'm not lying about my own history.

That is exactly what I do, mostly because my primary care physician used to take all my test results anyway. So, ever since then, I just copy everything and hand it over to her. As for anything sent via electronic referral, I demand a printout. But when it comes to medication, I can't really help myself—it's not like I'm walking in there asking for candy. Seriously, here I am, suddenly without the one medication that keeps me from having a heart attack or a stroke, and nobody cares. What am I supposed to do? Just wander from pharmacy to pharmacy hoping for the best, or pray that it's only a month until my dosage gets adjusted? Or maybe I'll just miraculously recover and call it a win, right? 🙄

Oh, and it’s not even the first time... once, I walked up and a woman asks me, "Do you need this?" referring to some specific drug name. I told her, "No, why would I need that?" and she goes, "Well, it's for heartburn." I replied, "Actually, I need it for my blood pressure." And she just looks at me and says, "This has nothing to do with blood pressure. Your doctor probably entered it wrong." And that was it. Just... whatever.

So, here’s my experience from today: apparently, you picked up your prescription on March 8th.

I didn't.

How can you say you didn't when the system says you did?

Look, I’m fairly certain I know whether or not I actually picked up my medication. I haven't touched this one, though I was at the CVS last week picking up some stuff my OBGYN prescribed, so maybe there's just some clerical error or a glitch in their pharmacy database.

Yeah, well, I don't know, just go talk to your doctor then.

And the doctor will probably just say, "Well, if the records show you picked it up, then you picked it up."

But I didn't pick it up, even if I was grabbing other meds from my specialist last week—maybe they just linked everything together incorrectly at the pharmacy, and honestly, how am I supposed to prove a negative? How do I prove I *didn't* walk out with it?

Sure, but I can't hand over the medication if the computer says it's already been dispensed to you.

It’s a real mess; this is my blood pressure medication we're talking about. And then, boom—suddenly I'm either ending up in the ER, checking into a hospital, or landing in psych, simply because I have no memory of ever actually getting my hands on the pills.

Well, you know me—I'd probably just scrub posts like that from existence entirely if I had the chance. 😁

And just wait until they read that you can even get pregnant from a pool session where men are swimming around...😂.

Alright, alright, that’s enough—let's not push our luck before you decide to hand down a sentence.

Olivia Diaz3, alright, wait—I’ve hit a bit of a wall here at the end, and I’m honestly struggling to find the right way to phrase this without sounding completely ridiculous, but let me try anyway: regarding what I’ve termed "auto-sex"... 😁Is it actually impossible to reach a climax if you're stimulating yourself internally versus externally? Or is it more like you can do it from the outside, but the inside just doesn't work for you? Because, if I’m being honest, I definitely fall into that second category. I find that internal stimulation alone—aside from actual intercourse where I happen to be on top—just doesn't get the job done for me. And honestly, I don't see why anyone would consider that an issue. 🤷.

Olivia Diaz3 said:Good grief, I suppose I should have realized that even in this day and age, there aren't any loopholes left for us. It turns out you can't exactly bypass the entire federal tax system or secure a steady employment contract just by indulging in a little solo time. One would think with all the ways people try to game the system these days, there might be some way to turn a private habit into a career path, but apparently, the IRS isn't quite ready to recognize that kind of productivity. 😁

How can you say that? Honestly, I thought you’d heard the rumors—you know, all that nonsense about us making out through our clothes, blah, blah, blah... if we could manage that, I suppose we could just as easily have done it in an ExxonMobil parking lot for all I care! 😁

Carl White24 said:I honestly think it’s just a complete waste of money; trying to bump up that G-spot rating doesn't actually correlate with any real physical stimulation, so you aren't really going to achieve anything at all.
I suppose it might be worth considering a trip to see a doctor for some actual professional advice.

Hey there. Just checking in, I suppose.

I think I touched on this exact same point in my very first post, so I find myself nodding along with you here. To my ears, the whole thing sounds like nothing more than selling smoke—a glorified tax on the gullible, or whatever euphemism one prefers for such blatant nonsense. It’s just that we humans possess this rather unfortunate, ingrained tendency to place an almost religious level of faith in doctors; if a procedure is being touted by one of those high-profile plastic surgeons you see on every billboard from New York to Los Angeles, people just assume it must be legitimate. Personally, I feel like I'm constantly bombarded by these polished segments on cable news or endless social media feeds claiming that women look "transformed" after surgery, when in reality, they’re often exactly the same person—just wearing significantly more makeup and benefiting from some heavy-duty studio lighting. 🤷But then again, he’s always just so perpetually dissatisfied... honestly, it’s a bit much...

Actually, another thought just drifted into my mind regarding this whole topic—Olivia Diaz3, if you don't mind me asking—and I wonder if we might be overlooking a certain psychological knot. What if the issue isn't some grand, external dysfunction, but rather something more subtle within the dynamic itself? I mean, is it possible that there’s a subconscious, perhaps even unintentional, lack of attraction on your part? It could be anything from a deep-seated resentment over something else entirely to a fundamental mismatch in temperament that creates this quiet, persistent resistance. If you find yourself constantly holding something against him, or if that spark just isn't catching, it would be only natural that you wouldn't find much enjoyment in intimacy with him, wouldn't it?
Living with one kidney in Health ·
My mother’s been getting by on just one kidney for over a decade now, and even her other one has always been a bit subpar in terms of functionality. She isn't even on any medication or anything of the sort; she just keeps up with regular checkups, monitoring her urine levels and running the occasional lab test, and everything comes back perfectly fine. Honestly, there's no reason to worry—I mean, people donate kidneys all the time when living with just one becomes impossible, so why would anyone choose to live that way otherwise?

I suppose I’m just inherently... how should I put this?... a bit too easily overstimulated? 😁

It doesn't take much to get me there; honestly, I reach my limit far too quickly, and if someone were to somehow boost my dopamine levels even a fraction more, I’d probably be stumbling down the sidewalk mid-climax 😂.

Anyway, we haven't heard back from anyone regarding the surgery yet... so we're just sitting here waiting 😁.

Honestly, I’m not buying it... it feels like one of those "enlarge your ego" scams. I’ll remain skeptical.

Besides, why would anyone even bother? Is your G-spot somehow insufficient? Can a G-spot even be "too small"? And isn't the whole thing just... well, a bit of a myth? It seems to me we’ve just picked a specific spot, slapped a fancy label on it, and now everyone treats finding it like some sort of fine art, while men and women just drone on endlessly about it—when really, it’s just a specific way of stimulation that works.

But I suppose I’ve drifted into philosophy again... though I am genuinely curious if anyone here has actually tried it.
And I mean someone who did it for real, not someone just making things up.

P.S. Just sitting here waiting for the guys to stumble upon this topic 🤣.
Can anyone answer this? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Can someone please make sense of this for me?

I’ve been trying to report offensive posts... nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. Then, out of nowhere, I get hit with a warning. When I ask why I’m being penalized while the person actually insulting me gets a free pass, I just get told, "We didn't receive your report." Okay. Fast forward a month or two, and it’s the exact same song and dance. "We didn't receive your report, you probably didn't do it right—did you actually click the little triangle next to the post 🙄?" Fine. So, I stop reporting anything at all. But then, suddenly, I get a message from a different moderator telling me to stop spamming their inbox with reports. Is that even possible? 😁 This is specifically about the moderators over in the US section—first they claim they aren't getting anything, and then suddenly I'm "spamming" them—and also a moderator from the Recreation section, which isn't even an area I hang out in, so 🤷. I honestly started thinking maybe I was doing something wrong or that the button itself was broken, especially after I messaged a few other moderators just to see if my reports were actually landing. Turns out, they are working fine for everyone else. So... what gives? Is it just the US section that's broken 🤣?

How rude.

Question: On the American market, besides Yaz, are there any other 28-day birth control pills available?
Frank Hughes56 said:So, I’ve got a question. Basically, I’m on Diane, and I started taking them right on the first day of my period. I’ve only got about four or five pills left until the pack is finished, but then today I noticed some spotting—like, actual blood. My period basically decided to show up right in the middle of my cycle. So, what do you think? Should I just push through and finish these last few pills, or should I do something else?

Keep taking them; honestly, it’s perfectly normal. It’s just called spotting. Just finish the pack, take your break, and then start the next 21 pills as if nothing even happened.

For the ladies out there—most of the side effects you encounter are quite standard. Just don't make the mistake of stopping because of them, unless you want to lose your protection entirely.
Oh, absolutely—keep a spare pill tucked away in your bag at all times. Just for peace of mind.

And another thing, which might be a tad awkward to bring up, but I suppose I’ll just say it: I honestly think it’s better to take it in the evening. Personally, since I have a rather sensitive stomach, when I tried taking it in the morning, I experienced this... well, let's just call it digestive issues, shall we? And then you're left sitting there wondering if the medication actually even absorbed, how much time has passed, and all that nonsense. But if you just take it before bed, well... 🙂.
