26, female, Washington, D.C.

Looking for a girl to hang out with—maybe grab coffee, hit some shops, or just go out on the town😁.

I’m pretty new to the area and my circle is basically non-existent right now, so... figured I'd try my luck here and see if I can meet someone cool😁.

Nothing crazy or specific, just looking for good vibes🙂
For those first two weeks, the tattoo was basically just stuck in that initial healing phase. Since then, it’s been one long process of the skin just trying to patch itself back together. It's pretty obvious the skin in that specific spot is more sensitive, so it's obviously taking its sweet time to get back to normal. As long as you aren't seeing any crazy redness, bumps, or other signs of infection, sticking to the lotion usually does the trick. You can always hit up your tattoo artist just to be safe, though.

I've got four tattoos myself, and honestly, every single one healed at its own damn pace. If there's one thing I've picked up, it's that you have to treat every new piece like it's your very first one—keep a close eye on it, because different parts of your body just heal differently. 🙂

Looking for that one guy on here who’s always hunting for "troublemaker" girls—the one I was chatting with for a bit. Hit me up and set things right 🤣

Look, I know this sounds pretty pathetic, but I’m not gonna make it.
I’ve just hit such a low point lately that being out in public or acting "normal" feels impossible right now.
I am truly sorry, though.

Anyone down for some depressive coffee? We can sit there and mope together, or just grab a cup and pretend we aren't losing our minds, just to get through one of these crappy days 😳.

Maybe next Saturday? 🍿

Welcome to the forum. It’s that special place where a single PDF file somehow requires seven different moderators, though honestly, there's a pretty good chance most of them haven't even logged on in ages.
You guys really messed up this forum when you let the admin go MIA for months on end, all while covering for his absence with nothing but transparent lies. He’s definitely reading. He just doesn't say anything. I'm one hundred percent sure. His mom actually sent me a photo of him sitting there at his laptop with this forum pulled up, holding today's newspaper in his hand.It looks like you might have cut off your message mid-sentence. I can't rewrite anything if the thought isn't finished! Toss the full text my way whenever you're ready, and I'll get to work on it. Oh man, here we go. This is bad. They actually had the nerve to point out just how transparent it all is. So you’re actually trying to tell me his mom is lying?! Seriously?!!So, they were basically just scrubbing everything and "appropriately" deleting posts in bulk. Honestly, if you want to end up banned on this forum, just keep doing that—especially when they always throw in some pathetic excuse about why they had to do it. It’s basically like being stacked up against a bunch of total losers..

Honestly, you guys really messed up this forum once you started playing gatekeeper with who we can and can't talk about. Look, if you just wanted to ban discussions about specific people entirely, that might actually work. But no, you decided to go after anything "negative," which is just... yeah. What do you guys think? Totally inappropriate. Praising them, sucking up, playing the part? Sure, why not. 👍Honestly, this guy is just a total drag. Like, zero personality, nothing interesting to say—just a complete bore. And if I’m being totally real? He low-key smells like he hasn't seen a bar of soap in a week. It's kind of awkward. 🙂
Everything’s become an insult lately. Honestly, half the stuff people call offensive isn't even offensive—it just depends on who's sitting behind the keyboard. Take Brandon Lopez6, for example. Someone’s probably gonna go digging right now, trying to find some obscure reason to prove he doesn't belong on this forum. Maybe it's because he started writing in the third person, or maybe it's just because he's actually posting at all.

You guys completely trashed this forum. I’m not even expecting an apology—I know you won't give one—and honestly, I don't really care. But let's be real: you know you messed up, I know you messed up, and I'm pretty sure a good chunk of the old-school regulars know you messed up too.
Remember those old message boards? Like the ones we used to hang out on back in the day?
Wait, I thought people were talking about sex over there and posting those hilarious memes? Man, that’s just savage. Seriously.
Yeah, so I got banned yesterday. Apparently, posting a photo where you can see like a third of a woman's left breast—while she’s rocking those open-toed sandals—is where they draw the line. Thank God it's only a six-month suspension, though. Could've been way worse.

It’s been nice hanging out here, honestly. It just feels good to actually vent and share stuff with people who live in the same country. You can't even begin to explain that kind of heartbreak to an American. Like, when the Lakers and the Bulls finally called it quits? You just can't put a finger on it. 🙂).
There was a point where posting here actually felt decent, but lately, things have just been getting uncomfortable. People started testing the waters, pushing boundaries, and before you know it, everyone’s catching bans left and right. And half the time, those bans are totally unjustified. Once you move the goalposts like this, there’s no going back—especially when it feels more like oppression than moderation. The logic they push is basically: "If someone insults you, don't fight back, just report them and let the mods handle it." Yeah, okay. So you sit around waiting two weeks for a moderator to even show up, and then you finally decide to take it to the IRS forums, only to get slapped with a ban yourself because apparently you were "trolling." At this rate, the most likely outcome is that all these unfair bans just stay on your record forever without any way to appeal them. *cough cough* unless that’s cool with the mods *cough cough*.
Maybe we could just say that even the mods have a life outside of this mess. That’s how it goes, I guess. Volunteering...Look, I don't know... honestly, does it even matter if the mods aren't around? Like, if they're too busy to jump in, it shouldn't really change anything, right? 🕺 I mean, I could just walk away from this whole thing... 🕺 So, when exactly are they planning on getting back to it, once they actually find some free time? 🕺

Honestly, I’m just not feeling this forum right now. Nothing's really clicking for me.homegrownNot even on a single PDF. Not once you finally make it.localThen you just peel back that whole "witty, high-achieving professional" facade, and you realize the entire thing is just a bunch of nonsense underneath. Once you finally become...localYou’ll be seeing a certain amount of that pretty soon, too.role". They toss you into some little box they've made up, then they're riding your high one day, loving you the next, and then suddenly they're editing your posts because you dropped a 🥳. I mean, fair enough, this is basically middle school, and God forbid you type a swear word 😲. 🙂.

Sell the domain. Wipe the archives. Burn the server down. Just do something.
"Why fix what isn't broken?" is a valid question, but what I really want to know is why you guys won't fix something that is clearly held together by nothing but prayers and duct tape?

*** disclaimer - all examples are made up. I'm not targeting any specific "blue" forum regulars, and most of the jabs at the admins and mods are just products of my imagination. Relax, markax17 didn't claim back in June 2012 that the Dallas Cowboys were rigged.

I've been around this forum for a long, long time. (obviously been way too long)Yeah, but I've been MIA for a little while. Hey viruses, hey 504, hey pusa 404..
So, I realized earlier that I couldn't see any of my old posts anymore, which was already pretty annoying. But then today I actually noticed there isn't even a search bar on this site... like, seriously? What the hell?
I don't hang out on the other forums that much, but I can't help feeling like they don't even exist. Not a single one. No fake stuff. Search engines.!!!

You guys completely trashed this forum. Honestly, whoever is running the show or pretending to "care" about this place should just post their CS degree from MIT and call it a day. Better yet, just stop acting like you ever actually worked on a site like this before.

You guys completely trashed this forum. Admin after admin, one after another. Every single one of you left your mark here, and let me tell you, that mark was mostly just a total lack of respect for the users. I didn't check the IRS today, but man, I still remember that one legendary... Not much we can do about it on our end. We already flagged it for the maintenance crew.I'm pretty sure you are, but honestly? I also think you couldn't care less. It’s not like your job is actually to give a damn—you're just there to push papers and handle the admin side of things.😁Yeah, look, sometimes you gotta keep a level head. I get that. But is being a total jerk really the only way to show everyone how chill and collected you actually are?

You guys completely trashed this forum. Seriously, everyone who voted for moderators based on who they grab a beer with rather than actual expertise—well, congrats, you really nailed it (with a few exceptions, I guess). You’ve let the file organization get so godawful that honestly, it’d be better if we didn't even have a search function, just so people couldn't find how bad the posts have become. markax17 Who actually posted back in June 2012? It’s like saying "the CEO is the company." It's just how things work there..

You guys totally trashed this forum.

You guys totally trashed this forum. You’ve spent the whole time just throwing distractions at us to keep everyone focused on absolute nonsense. Whoa, look at that. New emojis. Finally. So here we go. We're gonna spend the next three months arguing about how much extra cash we're throwing at this, acting like there’s some kind of ceiling on it. Honestly, if we keep dropping emojis like this, an angel is gonna lose its wings for every single one of them.

You guys really messed up this forum the second you let some of our best regulars walk out the door. It’s honestly pathetic. Some people didn't even just leave on their own—they were practically chased out. One minute you're getting banned here, the next you're getting banned there. Total mess. Let's just ride this out for a month. Maybe he'll finally lose his nerve and stop posting, but let's be real—we all know he’s still lurking and reading everything. Poor guy.
This forum is basically like a church.😛It all comes down to the people hanging out here. Honestly, the whole vibe of this forum just follows whoever shows up. I mean, what’s the point of having a million registered clones and trolls cluttering up the feed when you could just have 1,000 actual users having decent, normal conversations? Quality over quantity, always.

You guys completely trashed this forum.

You guys totally trashed this forum the second you started censoring anything "inconvenient" while letting everyone else bark away. You ruined the whole vibe once people with a different opinion—according to you, anyway—suddenly became public enemy number one.
You guys really screwed the pooch right when it became obvious. Like, once everyone could see exactly whose posts were getting nuked and whose garbage was being left untouched. That’s when you started calling people who wrap absolute filth in pretty little bows "just slightly uncomfortable, but not offensive." Then you turned a straight-up "screw you" into some 500-point technicality. Typical.

Sometimes I wonder if they should've taken that money and dumped it into some high-tech sensor instead of hiring more IT Solutions Inc. staff. You know, like a detector that starts screaming the second some troublemaker on this forum opens a specific PDF. It’d be just like being in the middle of a conversation in the States and dropping the word "bomb"—suddenly half the FBI is scrambling to their feet.

You guys really trashed this forum.

You guys totally trashed this forum the second you started letting people cherry-pick subforums just to cover up the fact that the mods don't have a clue what they're doing. You let everyone see exactly which moderators we're dealing with, even though those guys would basically be nothing without their precious little titles. But hey, I guess that's just how it goes.Just out here doing some volunteer work. And it's just not there.Prestige. It’s funny how much people obsess over it. Everyone wants to look like they've made it, always chasing that next level of status, but honestly? Most of it's just smoke and mirrors. You see it all the time—people working themselves into an early grave just to afford a zip code they're too busy to actually live in. It’s a trap. Real success doesn't usually come with a loud announcement or a flashy logo. It’s quieter than that. And everyone's just... yeah. Everyone.Equal rights.Everything’s chill, we’re all good, and out there, six different paths are just crossing over like some weird pattern on a Reddit thread.

You guys really messed up this forum.

You guys really messed up this forum the second you stopped letting people post about what they actually want to talk about regarding the IRS. It’s like, we’re here for a reason, right? Now everything feels off.Just trolling.Calling this trolling based on your own standards is just a joke, especially since you're talking about yourselves. It’s out of line because it’s actually describing how things really are—it's just that the truth is ugly enough that you don't want some random person stumbling onto it. You guys basically broke this forum the second you started grouping everything together and handing out 500 points like they were pieces of candy at a kid's birthday party. (sugar and gluten free, ofc 😳). People should actually be allowed to have an opinion. Posts should serve a purpose instead of being used as weapons by certain mods to suit their own agendas. Freedom of speech? Yeah, right.
The forum went downhill the second you guys started hand-picking what fits your narrative and what doesn't. It all fell apart when brown-nosing started getting tallied up as "points" to impress the moderation team. Look, isn't just prestige, it’s all volunteer work. But then any bit of criticism toward the mods started being treated like an attack on some sacred institution of moderator divinity. Suddenly, it was a full-blown crusade against anyone who refused to shut up just because their take was deemed too "controversial".

It's funny how we're all taught that making mistakes is part of being human, yet half these people would rather die than admit they messed up. Who actually makes a mistake and owns it? Not here. That's apparently impossible.
It's not our fault, he's just trolling and lying—even if he uses info leaked from DMs or stuff grabbed from the mod lounge. So let's just threaten him with a partial ban or a month-long suspension, and if that doesn't work, we can always just hit the permanent ban button. I mean, what's he gonna tell us, that markax17 actually wrote back in June 2012 that the Lakers were 😠trash.

The forum was doomed the moment users reached a breaking point where they actually had to ask for moderation. We had to come here and collectively explain why we even wanted this site moderated. We literally had to sit there and justify why we wanted things to be damn well moderated. Half those debates would've ended with a mountain of deleted posts and a good chunk of users banned. Then, the ones who were "extra annoying" suddenly started getting censored way more often than usual. I guess they just became too "uncomfortable" while posting in threads like "what shows did you watch today". I gotta admit, even for me, "Dexter" is a pretty lame pick, so that ban was totally deserved.
crimsonseal23 said:Hopefully I'm in the right spot. I'm trying to figure out how to actually see a psychologist or psychiatrist because this insomnia and these headaches have been killing me for years. I saw a neurologist and they scheduled me for an MRI in like a month or two, but honestly, I feel like it’s all mental. Also, can you go through insurance with a referral, or is it out of pocket? Because money is tight—I'm a student and I've got ten days to scrape together $1667 for tuition after bombing an exam and now needing one more credit just to qualify for the student rate...
Thanks 😉

Just hit up your primary care doctor, ask for a referral, and you're set.

question
got a neurology appointment coming up, anything I should watch out for? Any specific rules or prep I need to know about?

silentmarlin76 said:Honestly, whether it’s "luck" or not doesn't even matter, because the fact remains that some of those antidepressants can be super addictive, so I just wanted to make sure nobody reading this gets the wrong idea... and hey, you aren't being a hypocrite here—that label was meant for the doctor, not you—so don't sweat the sources too much, there's plenty of news coverage out there on this kind of thing.😉

Just think about it, if I hadn't stepped in to correct that info, I would've basically thrown Moravec and his colleagues under the bus—people who are just trying their best to educate the public and help out however they can... if I had just let a false claim stand as "truth," do you really think I'd be considered a bad person or just someone acting like a know-it-all just for setting the record straight?

Where did I even say they were miraculous? Don't try to bait me, kid. I am seriously over people like you. You can't get addicted to antidepressants—how you managed to pull that off, I have no clue and frankly, I don't care. You're being incredibly arrogant, and I'm done responding to your little provocations. 👋

silentmarlin76 said:I'd say stick to 1 mg daily... the withdrawal usually hits hard around day four. Hang in there, hope you make it through okay!!

Honestly, all these meds make me feel absolutely miserable when I try to taper off... I get so mentally unstable, physically paralyzed, and I've actually had narcoleptic episodes twice now.

They bring people into the ward who are struggling like crazy trying to kick Normabir or Xanax. They end up treating them with phenobarbital just so they can survive the detox process.

Effexor... when I was off it, I remember posting a bunch of stuff here asking what was happening to me... anyway, I'm genuinely happy for you, truly.🙂

Some ADs—not all of them, mind you—definitely create dependency. Davor Moravek is one of the sources for that info... so yeah, either psychiatrists are feeding you lines or that one specific doctor you talked to was. Just curious, can you tell me which one told you that? Basically, you just have to get lucky with which AD you end up with.😉

I've seen quite a few psychiatrists by now, but I'm not about to drop names on a forum. Just like I wouldn't want them dropping mine.
I've been through the ringer with meds—tried Eglonyl, Seroxat, Cipralex, Fevarin, and Amyzol from the AD side, plus Zyprexa and Risperdal from the AP side. The only thing I actually got hooked on was Helex.
I really doubt it's just down to luck.

For me, feeling "normal" on it is still way better than my actual everyday baseline. But once those four hours are up and it wears off, it’s like I just crash, and then I get so incredibly irritated because I just want to feel that good again. And yeah, the cravings are real whenever I take it. It's pure junk. Just impossible to handle.

The only difference I notice is that once I take it, the panic stops. I still feel fear, sure, but it never spirals out of control. I space my doses out by a few hours and I never really feel that "crash" you're talking about. Sometimes I even skip a dose and I don't feel any dip at all.
I end up taking it more often because I'm hooked, and honestly, the only thing that starts bothering me after a while are the withdrawal symptoms (after maybe 18 hours), but that's a whole other conversation. My body isn't asking for a higher dose; what I'm on right now is perfect. I was planning on getting off Helex, but with work being what it is, that would be way too much stress. Besides, I barely even take it at home—mostly just for work or while I'm actually at the office.

Seriously, I've never felt anything weird, not even at the start. No special buzz or anything, just—no panic. It doesn't numb me out, it doesn't make me sleepy (even back when some incompetent doctor had me on massive doses), and it doesn't kill my emotions... with this stuff, I guess I'm just the person I would've been if I didn't have panic attacks and phobias.

And
it doesn't mess with my appetite. Not one way or the other.

So, I’m reading about this whole obsession with popping Xanax, Lexapro, or Misoprostol again, and I can't help but wonder why it doesn't hit me like that. Not that I actually want it to, but I just don't get how people get hooked when I don't even feel anything beyond just... being normal. You know? Just the usual mix of feeling bummed out or happy, and every once in a while, that rare moment where things finally feel "quiet" in my head. 🤔

I guess I'm just a veggie now. Or maybe I'm just tired of the meat sweats. Honestly, after that steakhouse run last week, my stomach was basically staging a full-scale protest. Might be time to lean into the salads and see if things settle down. kaže:
Thanks, hun... but I actually work in the medical field, so I know my way around this stuff. Add a little bit of hypochondria to the mix, throw in an elevated liver tumor marker, and—boom—there goes my sanity. 🤦
I’ve been on Calixtu for three years now, but I only take half the lowest dose. On top of that, I’m taking 4g of Sanval and some Valium. It doesn't seem like much, so I figured adding AP wouldn't hurt. Last night, I tried a tiny piece—maybe 25mg, since it's such a pain to break off—but it didn't knock me out at all. So, I just took my usual rotation: the Sanval and the Calixtu. Honestly? I slept pretty poorly, and waking up this morning was a total struggle. I’m just pissed at myself. I really just want to function like a normal person. 🙂

What’s up with your stomach? I deal with that stuff on and off, usually just popping some Nexium to settle things down. Same goes for my blood pressure and those laxatives—I end up taking way too much throughout the day. My liver tests have been fine so far, but I’ve got another round of bloodwork scheduled for next week to check my markers. Are you finally tapering off the Amizol? Is it actually bothering you, or are you feeling alright?

Man, I'm sorry. 😢

So, I've started packing on the pounds like crazy. I'm sitting at about 45 pounds heavier than I was just a year and a half ago. Seriously, this has gotta stop now.

Jason Vaughn482 said:So, you aren't taking anything else alongside it? Fine, I suppose I will give it a shot tonight. To be honest, my fear of pharmaceuticals has always been a point of contention with my previous doctor, so I’ve transitioned to a younger male psychiatrist for a change of pace. He has a private practice outside of the major hospital networks, which feels much more manageable and convenient... thank you, I will report back with my initial reactions. Like you, I do eventually get seven hours of sleep, but my struggle lies in the agonizing hours spent tossing and turning before I finally drift off; if I hit the pillow at 11:00 PM, I won't actually fall asleep until 2:00 AM, which completely wrecks my entire biological rhythm.

P.S. Do you monitor your liver enzymes and blood sugar levels after starting Qviba? I'm wondering if those labs stay within a normal range for you.

Yeah, definitely worth getting those liver numbers checked periodically. Honestly, your doctor should be the one bringing that up first. I’ve been on Xanax since early 2010, took Reglan for maybe 3 or 4 years for my stomach, and I've been on Amyzol and Arvind for about 11 months now. Just had my labs done recently and everything came back clean.
Since you're on way fewer pills than I am, there's really no reason to stress out beforehand. 🙂

*because let's face it, doctors don't always stay on top of everything
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Looking for a psychiatrist in Washington, D.C. who actually knows their stuff when it comes to pharmacology. I need someone who specializes in meds rather than just talk therapy. Private practice only.
Ideally, someone with decent hours—maybe evening or Saturday availability if possible.
Not really sure where else to go with this, so I figured I'd just drop it here—I need to get my insulin resistance checked out. Does anyone know if there's anything specific I should watch out for right before the test or even the day before? My endocrinologist told me to check with my primary care doctor, and then my doctor just told me to ask the lab...
