Honestly, I don't usually give a damn about trolls on the forums, especially if the thread is just some random joke... but it's happened a few times where I'd pour my heart out about a real issue—something I practically had to force myself to even post—only to have people straight-up mock me. It was always the same group of two or three losers, though; they’d pile on with like twenty comments just tearing me down. And look, I was already having a rough enough time without them piling on. So yeah... now I barely even touch the "Lonely Hearts" boards. Some of those people actually started making me hate this PDF app too, though they eventually cleared out and left me alone.
Ever since I can remember, my nails have been a total mess—super brittle, just snapping off after growing maybe a millimeter or two. When I was a kid, I didn't really care (unless they actually hurt 😢), but once puberty hit and I actually wanted long, pretty nails, I was totally out of luck. No idea why, but back then I figured if I just bit them down, I'd at least have an excuse for why I wasn't wearing polish or whatever... and yeah, that’s how it all started.
I'm Brandon Lopez6, and I've been a nail biter since I was 13 🤣
In the beginning, I used to manage to take breaks. Like, I'd bite them all down and then go a month without touching them. Now that I'm older, it's way harder... my hands just sort of gravitate toward my mouth on autopilot 😁
About a month ago, I finally just snapped (sorry for the language) and painted them while they were still short and ragged looking... and I decided right then to actually try and grow them out. This time I'm doing it the right way... letting them grow a bit, filing them down... then painting them and trimming them back... and honestly? I've had a manicure going for a month now and it feels awesome. They're still pretty fragile, so I keep them at a decent length. Long enough to look nice, but not so long that they'll snap immediately 🙂
P.S. Not sure if there's a connection here, but my brother and my grandma were also nail biters. Maybe it's just genetics 🙂
The bottom line?? If you actually want to stop, you can. It's worth it—it looks way better this way 😉

tell me about it... I'm already stocking up on candy and chips. It's basically the only thing I can eat during those two days without feeling like it’ll come right back up before it even goes down.😢
Daniel Garcia8 said:I feel sick on pretty much any mode of transport... 🙄 I take Dramamine, but lately I feel less like I’m being helped and more like I’m just high... Try finding something all-natural; I used to take ginger capsules for a while. You could also try those acupressure wristbands, people say they actually work. The only time I don't feel nauseous is when I'm the one behind the wheel. 😉
Gotcha, thanks! Where can I find that kind of stuff and what's the damage looking like?
I know this might be better suited for a psychology thread, but I’m genuinely curious if there’s any actual medicine out there that helps...
Long story short... I absolutely loathe driving. Even if it’s just a quick ten-minute trip to the grocery store. I don't get sick to my stomach or anything, it's just this constant, nagging wave of nausea that hits me. I can't even explain it. Nothing seems to touch it anymore... part of me thinks it might be psychological, but who knows...
Does anyone know of any effective pills?? Dramamine isn't really doing the trick for me lately. 😢
Alright, figured I’d jump in and share my own experience too...
My first period hit way earlier than expected, around 11 or 12, and from then on, things were just completely unpredictable...
For a while there, I was actually getting them twice a month... which meant I was basically living in pads. My mom would lose her mind, and honestly, I was terrified. Who wants to be 13 and constantly avoiding white pants, shorts, or any kind of physical activity because you feel like a walking crime scene?🙄
At first, the cramps weren't a huge deal, but after I had sex for the first time—I didn't connect the dots until reading this thread—it became a nightmare. Back then, I was on Yasmin, so it actually helped, but once I stopped taking it, my libido absolutely tanked and my misery started right along with it.
Truth is, my cycle is totally erratic; they usually show up every two to two and a half months, but when they do... sometimes the pain is so bad I seriously want to end it all. In the beginning, I’d try Neofen, then Advil, then Aleve, but last time I ended up taking some pill my ex’s mom had left over from her ovarian surgery... It finally kicked in after about an hour, but man...
Birth control helps with the pain, but I don't want to deal with the zero libido situation, so... yeah, I just sit there and suffer! What’s even worse is that lately, the last few have started causing cramps a whole week beforehand... and then I’m stuck on the toilet non-stop because I constantly feel like I have to go... and weirdly enough, it actually helps (as dumb as that sounds)!
Since I have a super sensitive stomach, I can't just hammer pills like crazy or I'll feel even worse, and at that point, I don't even know what's happening to me anymore. I should probably get mine soon, because those "daily" cramps are already starting to creep in...
And yeah... I don't know if it's just me, but I swear my immune system just tanks during this time. It hasn't happened once where I didn't end up with a sore throat or a cold right alongside it. That's exactly how it feels now, and I'm feeling so wiped out that I just can't mentally fight off the pain like people say you can... ugh.😢 😢
Look, I already said I can't really relax unless I'm on the pill... maybe I've gone without a condom once or twice, but that was... well, only if there was a *really*, really, REALLY good reason for it. Plus, back then I was just some kid head-over-heels in love, you know? I'm not exactly a child anymore, though I am definitely smarter about this stuff now... 🙄
Honestly, I feel a little better knowing I’m not the only one dealing with this... It feels kind of pointless to be on birth control when—let's be real—what's the point if you don't even have the drive to get laid in the first place?
I don't know... I was on Yasmin before and just wasn't feeling it at all. I took a break for a bit and everything seemed fine, then I started taking Triquilar and it's the exact same story. Plus, I have this massive fear of getting pregnant, so I rarely feel like I can actually relax during sex. I didn't really have that issue while on the pill, but now...
