Nicholas Chase34 said:Kobe Bryant pick: under 28.5 points @ 1.85 SS
Kobe Bryant has a tough matchup tonight against Joe Johnson, who plays really solid defense. Plus, the Atlanta Hawks are currently ranked 5th in points allowed at the SG position. KOBE's offensive game relies heavily on isolation (about a third of his shots), post-ups, and playing the ball-handler in the Pick and Roll, but the Hawks are pretty good there—especially defending isolations (#2)—even if they're a bit weaker in the post (#15). I guess 29 points might be asking too much from him; he'd probably need at least 25-30 shots 🤣 with decent efficiency to hit that. A more realistic line for a game like this would be around 25.5-26.5, so I feel like I have to take the under. ☕
Where are you getting those stats? Maybe a link to the site?
Arthur Hill2 said:If Amar'e Stoudemire comes back, I guess Jeremy Lin might go under. 20 points is a lot, and Jose Calderon is decent on defense. 🤷
Regardless of Amar'e, Jeremy Lin should probably get plenty of shots. He’s proven himself, and his team seems to trust him—against the Timberwolves, they shot 1-for-11 in the second half and he still had the ball in the final play. Plus, Rubio is a solid defender in my opinion, so scoring 20 is tough. We'll see. It's a risky Pick and Roll bet, but I'm leaning toward the over.
wiredcanyon39 said:Amar'e might be back today, so I guess the under looks more likely.
My bad, I posted that before seeing Amar'e is definitely playing. The line moved to 19.5, and they dropped Tony Parker to 17.5 because Ginobili is back. I'll probably just take both overs anyway.
So, they added Jeremy Lin to the mix today too.😍 I guess they set the line at 22.5 just to screw us over, but I’m still leaning towards the over. He dropped 20 in Minneapolis despite some bad shooting and a rough night, so maybe he’ll take control while Melo and Amar'e Stoudemire are out. The Knicks' defense looks pretty shaky to me, so I might grab the over on DeRozan too... Those heavy favorites with tiny payouts are never a sure thing, but Chicago-Sacramento, OKC-Utah, and Portland-Wizards all seem like solid bets today. It's weird, though—Chicago isn't even listed with a handicap in the spread here, even though they're the favorites.😁 I'll probably take Russell Westbrook as well; he's been acting wild lately.
Aside from Boston and the Lakers, here are my two picks: Jennings B. (-19.5+) Cleveland Cavaliers vs Miami < 1.85 He’s struggling lately, averaging just 7.3 points on 30% shooting over the last three. Plus, he hasn't fared well against the Cleveland Cavaliers recently—only 8.7 points on 20% shooting—and his road numbers aren't great compared to his home games. Dwight Howard (-22.5+) Orlando Magic vs Atlanta Hawks > 1.85 He’s in good shape and hitting the over quite a bit. Last year in the playoffs against Atlanta, he put up 27, and this time they don't have Al Horford. New Orleans Pelicans vs Portland Trail Blazers 2 < 1.35 Not much to say really. The Hornets are just too weak, and the Blazers need every win they can get right now. Orlando Magic vs Atlanta Hawks 1 < 1.60 The Orlando Magic are heating up, winning four of their last five, including an easy one against Miami. Atlanta isn't bad, but I'm leaning toward the home side. Minnesota Timberwolves (h+7.5) vs Dallas Mavericks 1 < 1.30 The Timberwolves are playing pretty well this season, though Dallas has won both matchups so far. Love is coming back from suspension, so if Dallas wins, I doubt it'll be a blowout.
I might just go with Orlando. They've looked a little better lately, I guess. Not quite in that slump they were in when they were getting blown out by 20 against the Hornets...
Washington at 2, seems obvious since New York is missing their top two guys... Minnesota might struggle without Kevin Love against Memphis, decent odds at 1.35... they say Derrick Rose will probably play today 🤷 so I'm taking Chicago, I think they win even without him... also putting the Clippers and Miami at 2... I don't know about player props, nothing really jumps out at me... maybe I'll try the Blake Griffin over, just a feeling he could go off since he hasn't played much lately
I'm expecting a blowout against Toronto tonight, which might mean LeBron sits most of the second half... I guess the Miami spread and LeBron under is my pick...
Deron Williams has been shooting poorly the last couple of games, so I guess I’m expecting a bounce back today. They're up against Golden State, who score a ton but give up a lot too. Same goes for Howard—he averaged about 27.5 over his last two against San Antonio. Plus, maybe Oklahoma by 2, Denver by 11.5, and New York by 1.
I guess I'm taking Kobe over, since playing against him isn't really an option and he's looking good right now. He’s shooting a lot and maybe the matchup against Dallas gives him extra motivation. I'll probably go lighter on Jennings; he struggles on the road and Philly plays such solid defense at home. I might also take Blake and Rose over, just a gut feeling. Looking at two from the Rockets because the Wizards are a mess, though I might try one for Chicago too. Maybe one for Philly. Not sure about Orlando—Melo might actually suit up, so those picks don't feel quite right, though I might still grab them... Wonder if Dwight goes over today.
Kevin Ward3 said:Haha, what a guy.🙏I guess it won't top "Protecting oneself Sinj hand," which is full of those classic scenes.😁
Maybe "Protecting Oneself Sinj Hand," much like that previous one about being "trapped by the big city," works because he did some work with Smith and there are some "good" scenes. But before all that, Bo just hung out with his buddies from the Sinj region and filmed a few killer movies on their own. I was lucky enough to catch one once, and honestly, it blows this recent stuff out of the water.😁 I guess those spontaneous scenes and dialogues... maybe they just happen?🤣 I had that movie on DVD, but I guess I lost it somewhere.😢 I guess I was wondering if anyone here happens to have copies of those early films from before Smith... if you do, maybe let me know.
Steven Reed54 said:where'd you get that from? I've tried several different brands, and I guess they all have slightly different measurements for the same weight in grams (it's subtle, but it happens). A standard tablespoon would be roughly 20g👍
I weighed it. Maybe we aren't talking about the same thing—I'm thinking of a regular old tablespoon, though I don't know what kind you mean.

Tyler Scott8 said:As far as I know, putting more than 30g of whey in a shake is just wasting money, since that’s the max the body can actually break down and use at once. I guess I'd love for someone who knows more to weigh in on this. + personally, I usually throw in a double scoop of glucose, so like, maybe 30g of whey plus 60g of glucose... sometimes even more glucose depending on how I'm feeling.
You've got a point. Adding extra scoops seems wasteful since the body can only handle about 35g of protein per sitting. p.s. You've definitely bulked up, man. Looking pretty jacked now.😁
So this guy, who calls himself an American folk music pioneer, thinks carrying weapons in places like this is totally fine. He basically implies it doesn't matter if people get hurt, as long as nobody dies. 😕 I guess it's hard to have a good opinion of that "subculture" when you look at it that way. 😁 🤷
Are you seriously talking trash about Vuca ??? Anyone who doesn't love Vuca clearly isn't doing it right. Honestly, where is your shame? You're just as bad as half the rest of the country.
Nicole Fisher3 said:I picked up some 100% isolate whey from MuscleTech. Now I'm looking at the label, and it says 47 grams of protein per 300ml of water. That feels like a bit much, though maybe it won't mix well. Anyone have experience with their stuff?
Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but MuscleTech products are pretty garbage. I say that from my own experience and from reading what tons of people online say, too. I know some folks had issues after using their creatine. I once bought their whey because I didn't know better, and the taste was bad—plus the quality wasn't great either. I guess it's no surprise since it's the cheapest option. Also, I'm not sure I follow your question about 😕what to mix it with?
