The instructions say to put it *in* the eye, but my doctor specifically told me to just rub it right onto the eyelid where the redness is. Anyone actually know which way I should go here?
I’d probably just do both, inside and out!😬 shouldn't matter much.🤣
I was actually gonna say, I’m going through the exact same thing, though I've already been diagnosed with anxiety. Now that I see you're dealing with it too, I’m starting to think there's definitely a connection here...
Ethan Brown84 said:Thanks, haven't checked this thread in forever—like six months minimum. I tried nagging him about shaving again the other day,and honestly, you wouldn't believe how fast it grows back. It’s ridiculous,it really is. It’s not even my issue; I’ve gotten used to it, but he’s clearly bothered by it. He just doesn't feel comfortable. He wants them gone. Honestly, his back looks like an eighty-year-old man's, but on the bright side, his ass is built like an Amazonian jungle. I wanted to help out here, but it feels like a lost cause. I genuinely don't know what else we can do. Anyway, thanks,
PS what do you guys think about laser hair removal? I know nothing is truly permanent, obviously, but what's your take?
Mine start popping up four days after waxing.😱 So yeah, I stopped using wax altogether. Just a waste of time.
So, twice today I felt something that actually freaked me out... I got this weird "sensation" in my left arm—like, lower forearm down to the hand—just this intense pressure followed by my fingers cramping up.😕 It only lasted a few seconds both times. Should I be low-key panicking about this?!
So, I woke up yesterday with this weird bump on the roof of my mouth. Honestly, I’ve dealt with stuff like this before and it usually just disappears on its own, but this one’s bugging me. Does anyone actually know what this is? Like, why does this even happen in the first place? And most importantly... any tips on how to make it go away ASAP? My mouth is driving me crazy.🙏

I want to hear from both patients and medical professionals—how satisfied are you all, honestly, with our healthcare system? And if you could change one thing, what would it be?
I was watching this segment on FOX the other day about the healthcare industry. They were out on the street interviewing people, asking if they were happy with how things are run, and almost everyone said yes. I don't know if I'm living in some parallel universe or if those people just rarely ever have to see a doctor. 🤷
Also, a question for the patients: how much does this whole new electronic medical record system worry you? Do you think your privacy is actually going to be compromised with them?
Of course I'm not happy with it. Whenever I can swing it, I go private. It's not even because I think they're more skilled—honestly, I doubt there's much difference there—it's just two things: 1. the way they treat me; I actually feel like a human being and a woman when I'm there, and 2. I actually get seen in a reasonable amount of time.
Going to a public clinic is a massive stressor for me, whereas going to a private practice feels easy.☕ As for the electronic records, yeah, I bet privacy will take a hit, but it's not like I've got anything to hide.🤷
Daniel Nguyen73 said:alright, thanks. So what would we even call that then? Just anxiety, or a full-blown panic attack?
I’d say it sounds more like that heavy feeling right before a panic attack hits. Attacks can trigger other issues, sure, but they don't always have to. Sometimes it just stays at that level.😛
What you described doesn't sound like a panic attack. God forbid you actually have to deal with one.🙏 You'll know it when it happens!😲
Ugh... I just can't get behind those "natural" pads.🤣 My flow is heavy, and honestly, Always is the only thing that’s ever actually worked for me.🤷 They’re the only ones that actually stay put against my underwear; everything else just ends up leaking out the side eventually.
Samuel Morgan40 said:It’s a common misconception that PCOS always manifests through those classic, textbook symptoms—you know, the usual suspects like stubborn acne, weight gain, bloating, hair thinning, or excessive hair growth in typically male-pattern areas. But honestly, it doesn't have to work that way for everyone. One thing people often miss is the distinction between general increased hair growth and true hirsutism. There is a significant difference between having slightly more hair overall and developing that specific male-pattern growth; they aren't the same thing, though I suppose it's worth noting that hirsutism isn't even a mandatory requirement for a PCOS diagnosis. Furthermore, you can't rely solely on an ultrasound to tell the whole story. It is entirely possible for your ovaries to look perfectly normal on a scan and still meet the criteria. In my view, a truly comprehensive assessment requires looking at the full hormonal profile alongside those imaging results. Often, once you see the complete picture, it becomes clear that you need to investigate adrenal function and insulin sensitivity as well—since, as we know, there is a very strong, documented link between PCOS and insulin resistance in many cases.
Look, fungi are just a natural part of our biology—they're already living inside us, so I suppose they aren't inherently going to cause any harm or anything like that; it’s really the least of our concerns in the grand scheme of things. Of course, it all traces back to stress—that plays such a massive role in everything—not to mention the disproportionate impact it seems to have on us women.
You really ought to try and get those hormone levels under control—if you can even call it that. I had four different female hormones tested myself, and honestly, you have to be incredibly careful about which specific day of your cycle you schedule the bloodwork for; timing is everything if you want accurate results. As for the thyroid stuff, I suspect you’ll need to grab a referral from your primary care physician first, and then you can head over to a specialist. In my experience, you definitely need to see an OB-GYN to get those hormonal panels handled properly.
It isn’t enough to just test female hormones—if her gynecologist is sending her in for labs anyway, they really ought to check everything else too. I mean, you need the full picture if you want any actual clarity. Besides, the doctor is already noting thyroid tests on the referral, so she might as well get it all done in one go. Typically, you’d run those levels around day 2 through 5 of the cycle, though sometimes progesterone needs to be checked on day 21 or 22.
It is essential—if we are being thorough here—to pull a comprehensive panel. I suppose you should look at Estradiol, FSH, and LH (though the ratio between them is what actually matters), along with prolactin and testosterone—both total and free levels. You’ll also want to include TSH, T3, and T4, plus progesterone, DHEA-S, and androstenedione. If it is at all possible, I would suggest adding cortisol testing via both blood plasma and a 24-hour urine sample as well.
So, I asked about this on the forum once, and they told me it was pretty obvious.🤣🤣
I don't get this whole thing about categorizing different types of body hair. It makes zero sense to me.🤷 I mean, look at me. I’ve got more hair on my stomach, back, and arms than most women I know—just those tiny, light fuzzies everywhere. And then there's that little patch above my lip. It's nothing crazy, but still. I know plenty of other women deal with the exact same thing without making it their whole personality, though.🤷 Honestly, it’s not even that big of a deal to me. It's not like it ruins my life or anything. So... what are we talking about here? Is it actually a "manly" amount of hair, or just, like, moderate?🙏
I'm dealing with something pretty similar. I've always had this moderate amount of extra hair growth—honestly, I can't even remember a time when I felt "normal."🙄 So, we're talking from age 11 onwards, most likely.🤷 No PCOS, no acne issues either (except for those random breakouts back in middle school), and I'm definitely not carrying any extra weight. It's just not my thing. So, looking at all this, does it sound more like a thyroid issue or a sex hormone thing to you guys?🤷
I’ve got it bad. Like, really bad. To some people, I probably look straight-up broken.🙄 It’s not just that I can’t find my way around; it’s that I can’t even wrap my head around where things actually sit in space. Like, say building x and building y are on opposite sides of Chicago—I know where they both are, and I can get to them, sure. But if you ask me which one is further north, or how they line up relative to each other? Forget it. Zero chance. Not even close.🤷
Ugh, I had a brother just like that. Thank god he’s finally outgrown that phase.🙄 He used to have this weird habit of bringing in random junk he found outside.🙏 One time, he dragged in some chemical marker. As soon as I touched it, my hand broke out in this crazy rash!!!😁
But hey, I’ve always been known for having super sensitive skin.🙄
Megan Jones27;26884538 said:Thank God for this epilator, because my arm hair is getting seriously out of control 😲 ..
Yeah. And it's not just the arms—it's the whole damn body.☕ I have a friend, so I know what I'm talking about. She's hairy everywhere. They basically only have sex in the dark now, because you can see all those razor bumps and irritation on her skin. It's a total mess. Don't even get me started on summer. She's been trying to fix it for years, but nothing works. Basically, she couldn't handle certain types of medication. Plus, she's only 23, and the hormone stuff made her gain a ton of weight... and for what? Nothing. And hey, don't sweat the arm hair. I've got it too. 🤷
I've dealt with this crap more than once, though I haven't been slamming into walls.😁 It usually hit me whenever life got too stressful—just straight up passing out on the sidewalk.🙄 It would pass, just like always.
The last time was a total nightmare. I was puking, running fevers, blacking out, feeling completely wiped. Went through the whole medical gauntlet and, surprise surprise, ended up with some sheep pox.🤣
Every time I overdo it at dinner, my lungs decide to quit on me and start coughing.🤷 The urge to hack up a lung is hitting hard right now. Whatever. Not really worried about it. Maybe I should be?🤷
