Debates (The Duels) in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Ban insults strictly on the basis of race or ethnicity, and let everything else be settled between the parties involved. No other restrictions on creative expression should even be considered. I guess whoever gets brutally roasted first will just tuck their tail and slink back to their den like a coward.

Feeling helpless? And you think reopening this whole topic suddenly turns you into Superman, Trump, or some male version of Merkel?

What would this "debate"—between people who haven't actually accomplished anything on some obscure internet forum—even do for the "greater good"?

What, are you going to suggest we slaughter all the cattle again, or start sorting recycling and other nonsense? As if we haven't heard that a billion times from a billion different sources. Nobody has done a damn thing so far, but I guess now it matters because velvetbear372 from that Reddit thread is going to boldly repeat it all? 🤦

Man, if you actually want someone to notice you, why the hell are you rambling on a forum? It’s pretty easy to go viral these days.

Just grab a sign, a megaphone, stand in the middle of Times Square, and start blathering everything you say here. As someone in journalism, I guarantee you'll end up on every news site, and probably even on a local commercial news broadcast.
Elvis Presley in Religion ·
feralranger said:A true genius of physics, astronomy, and geography. Perhaps we can even hope he’ll be our next Secretary of Education.

The discovery that the Earth is actually flat, finally shattering millennia of delusions regarding its three-dimensional curvature—one might even argue this stands as the single greatest revelation of the last thousand years.

I haven't missed a single one of his sermons. Honestly, back in our local "Friends of Little Jesus" club chapter, we used to say that when it comes to raw charisma and sheer knowledge, the only people who could even come close to Elvis Presley are the legendary Zlatko sudac, Velimir Bujanec, and maybe Braco from Silver. The man is basically a walking encyclopedia; he just has that X factor, I guess.

I see you're a huge fan too, so if you're interested, you should probably join our Facebook group. 👍

We actually just launched a poll regarding a petition to finally get those three musketeers of spiritual renewal—minus Bujanec, since he'd probably just be an honorary guest handling the TV broadcast logistics—to gather in one place. They could then deliver a joint sermon using those booming baritone voices of theirs.

Just imagine the scene: the Holy Spirit thundering through the alternating sermons of the Judge and Elvis Presley, while Braco sits in the background, healing the audience with nothing but a look, leaving everyone trembling in a delirious trance. 🙏🙏🙏

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say an event like that might actually eclipse a visit from the Holy Father.

Anyway, let me know if you're interested; we can always use more volunteers. 👍
Discussion: What kind of Reddit do we want... (and Complaints) in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Only three parts? Seriously? That’s definitely not the thorough, studio-quality graniteviper82 we all know and love reading.

It’s pretty obvious you were rushing through this and cutting corners where you shouldn't have. I guess maybe you should just sit down tomorrow, actually give it some thought, and write up at least another ten cards detailing everything that bugs you about this Reddit. Then we can move forward. Doing it half-baked like this just doesn't make sense.
Top Gun in Movies ·
Ethan Brooks59 said:You’re the only one here acting tough, but honestly, you nitpick every single movie comment posted. Look, movies are entertainment, not documentaries. Top Gun wasn't even some massive phenomenon. It was just an okay flick with great music, some attractive actresses (and Cruise was plenty charming for the girls), but that was about it... just teen trash along the lines of Dirty Dancing a year later or La Bamba...

Listen to this contrarian, claiming it wasn't a huge hit. 🤦
Seriously, stop embarrassing yourself. 🤦

By total box office numbers, Top Gun was the most successful film of 1986.

And trying to label something "trash" from this modern perspective—especially when judging something that perfectly captured the zeitgeist and acted as a tribute to the 80s lifestyle—is just plain idiotic.

It’s like going back in 2019 and critiquing some American ninja flick based on the standards set by modern martial arts cinema.

I guess it makes sense that it looks cringey or unwatchable today, and you might wonder how something so silly was even made, but people weren't asking those questions back then. They didn't ask because they didn't know any better.

Daniel Hughes6 said:They’re trying to charge me a $5 fee for a bank transfer. Is there any way I can withdraw to a different card without getting hit by a fee?

Well, I guess that’s what happens when people don't bother reading the fine print before they start betting. You really should check the withdrawal options first. 🙄

Anyway, using a Visa debit card is probably your best bet. It usually works without any issues regarding payouts.

Regarding DraftKings, the payout situation is legit. The money hits my card by the second day, no questions asked. I've never run into an issue there. Limiting accounts, though, is a whole different headache. 🙄

Anyway, does anyone recognize this sportsbook? These guys over on Reddit keep posting these "guaranteed winning slips" every five minutes. https://www.facebook.com/21551011517...type=1&theater
Intel Visa in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I’ve got this foreign currency account over at JPMorgan Chase, and every single month when I log into my online banking, I see two separate service fees hitting my balance. One is $1.15, and the other is about $0.70.

Does anyone happen to know what those are actually for? I don't get any monthly statements sent through the mail, so I’m honestly just sitting here wondering why on earth they’re taking my money $5.00!?!?

cosmicskipper39 said:Good grief, since when did making a massive, dramatic exit from Reddit become the latest trend? I don't get why everyone feels the need to write an essay just to say they're leaving.🤷
😁

You really ask everything, don't you? I suppose people do it just so they can watch everyone beg, plead, and throw a parade to get them to stay. Personally, I won't miss anyone. Well, maybe George. George is actually a legend.🙏
Moderators are being so petty, uncreative, and incompetent in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Honestly, why is everyone complaining? This feels like typical old man yelling at clouds behavior to me. Forum members and moderators have never been treated on equal footing, and they aren't going to start now. This whole dynamic has been dull since back in 2002. And now we're sitting here in 2010. If I were in charge, I’d probably give you all 578 points for trolling just for failing to read the rulebook. 🤦 🤦

Linda Rodriguez38 said:Steven Ruiz The thing is—you guys AREN'T just regular forum users, right? Honestly, you should be facing way tougher sanctions because the vibe you're putting out there is just... wow. Such a bad look for everyone!
No offense intended!
Even after getting banned—you guys just wouldn't stop chatting for free, would you? 😂
Daniel Ward87Honestly, thanks for the concern—really! But maybe the only thing that actually bothers people is that I’m not an idiot and I actually have the guts to say what's on my mind?

Wait, what happened to Marčelina? Anyone know the scoop?

And what exactly are you complaining about? This forum isn't a democracy, Desiree.

So, I'll give you the exact response most moderators use when they run out of actual arguments:

Troll. 🤦

George, you’ve always been a total pro, honestly. I think I actually learned more from you than anyone else, I guess. Hit me up sometime so we can grab a couple of drinks. 😉

Asti, first George, and now you too. Please, don't go. You two are really the only ones on this board I actually get along with. 😉
