The absolute best stall out of the sixteen available at the East Entrance near Madison Square Garden (set up in an 8+5+3 layout):

1. That one specific unit in the block of three closest to the exit. Once you step inside and take a quick half-turn, it’s really the only one where you actually feel like you have a shred of privacy. 🙂

So, I was sitting around thinking about where people actually go to escape the chaos, and I figured I’d put together a list of the absolute best spots for a summer getaway. You know how it is—everyone is constantly looking for that one perfect slice of paradise to forget their problems for a while. Here is my take on the top number one destination for soaking up the sun:

I was sitting there, just letting the music wash over me, when that track came on—Coldplay - Yellow. It’s funny how a single song can just pull the rug out from under you, isn't it? You think you're doing fine, navigating the noise of everyday life, and then suddenly you're caught in the swell of a melody that feels like it's been waiting years to find you. Does anyone else feel that kind of weightless exhaustion when they hear it? It’s one of those rare moments where the cynicism actually fades for a second, leaving you wondering if everything is truly as bleak as we pretend it is.

Everything is just completely broken. Honestly, what's even the point anymore? I honestly can't even begin to make sense of what you just typed. Is this some kind of glitch in the matrix, or did someone just fall asleep on their keyboard? It looks like absolute gibberish to me. Are we actually trying to communicate here, or is this just some weird digital white noise you're throwing at the screen? I'm sitting here staring at this string of nonsense, wondering if there’s some hidden code buried in the chaos or if it’s just pure, unadulterated randomness. What was the goal here, really? Total garbage. Honestly, this is exactly the kind of summer I’ve been waiting for.

Honestly, what’s better than admitting Timothy Jones85 actually hit the nail on the head in his last post? You really just have to step back and look at this whole mess from a much wider perspective to see it.

Look, some of them can be absolute garbage, but you really have to try that one—what was it called? That weirdly named one from the old settlement? The chicken is incredible, honestly life-changing. I grabbed some last Sunday near the downtown area, and man, once you taste it, you just get it.

I gave it a shot today, and honestly, I couldn't even break the ice with them.

Don't even bother.
Just five tiny pieces of chicken on a totally mediocre crust. Served with corn 😲

If you're calling it in, the go-to pizza place is obviously going to stay Pizza Hut. 😍

I honestly doubt it's a Flat-Coated Retriever, assuming that was even what they were aiming for.

1. Pretty much every single stand-up comedian out there.

🙂
That even includes those supposedly funny sitcoms that honestly aren't even remotely funny.☕

So, did you actually head out to the quarry? 😬

Susan Clark10 said:So, you're telling me it isn't exactly the dream to live right in the middle of downtown?😁

Living there... I don't know about that. Do they even have decent heating?🙂
And as for growing up there—hard pass. Where are the swings? Where’s the meadow, or somewhere you can actually ride a bike without dodging a taxi every five seconds?

Susan Clark10 said:2. walking distance (from the farmer's market to the arena)
3. the old district and the start of the outskirts

Man, talk about having zero taste...
The historic district isn't all it's cracked up to be either; it just feels spooky and damp.
And I honestly have no idea where this Maximilien neighborhood is supposed to be. Is that near where your grandma lives or over by the zoo side of town?

Good grief:

1. the industrial suburbs
2. the commuter towns
3. the north side of the city
4. the lakeside suburbs
5-6. downtown and the upper residential districts

:2up:
if we were going by Pat's logic, his name would probably be Adam (you know, from Maroon 5)

Susan Clark10 said:and you're just as much to blame since you never actually brought him over to see us when he was still just a little ball of energy🙂

even a little ball of energy needs a place to go to the bathroom, and you can't really do that without having a decent neighborhood first, can you?🙂

Susan Clark10 said:You're talking about feta cheese, aren't you? 😁 Once I finally stop coughing like a heavy smoker.

There you go.
You eat all those zucchini and suddenly your health is shot to hell. 😢

Susan Clark10 said:you really ought to take a page out of that duck's book; he actually confessed to me once that my zucchini smelled pretty amazing, went so far as to give them a taste, too😁

that's just because he's trying so hard to be Steve's friend, while you're constantly acting like his godfather😂

I suppose I might be giving off the wrong impression, but I don't actually have anything against vegetables. Or pasta. Or cheese. In fact, I still have the energy to cook all of it. I’d probably make a decent vegetarian. I could even give up most meats (including lamb), except for a few things:

1. anything straight off the BBQ
2. anything breaded and fried
🙂

not gonna happen baby. ☕

P.S. when are we grabbing gyros? That place stays open until 11, and they actually delivered to me at 10:45 last night—it was a total lifesaver. 🙂

David Sullivan4 said:Is there anything more predictable than seeing a ten-point spread get eaten up by a blowout in sports betting? You look at the lines, you think you’ve found some kind of edge, and then you watch as the favorite just cruises to a massive victory, making that spread look like a joke in hindsight. It happens constantly in both professional leagues and local matchups—you expect a tight contest, but instead, you get a complete slaughter that wipes out your parlay before the second half is even over. Why does it feel like the math always works against us just when we think we've figured it out?

David Sullivan4 said:So, I'm sitting here prepping tomorrow's lunches—just some simple rice and veggie mix. Honestly, I had to split the batch with someone, which was just one of those things. Why does it always feel like you have to share when you’ve finally got a plan in place?

So, why don't you just go ahead and share all that misery with Alex Rogers91 tomorrow? At least if I followed the conversation correctly, that’s who you were talking to.

Cleveland could host it at the French Plaza, or if you're feeling particularly picky, just right over on Elm Street near the old diner.

🙂
I guess I'm the idiot here again. 😉

Dammit, that’s a hell of a drive. Do they actually stay open until 11, or is it closer to midnight?
