Good grief. 🙄

And the refs? Just as predictable. 🙂

Regardless, they're still ahead of six clearly faster cars, Maestro Peti.

That is how you win a championship. 🙏🙏🙏

Forget Placido Domingo. They might as well have brought in Anđelina Đolo. 🙄

Pastor Maldonado being himself. Just business as usual.

Once again, they’re using "please" when talking to Kimi. 😁

"The formation lap is going to be long. Don't forget to warm up those brakes, PLEASE."

Though, personally, I wouldn't be complaining about the lack of rain if I were you. 😁

Not a single drop. I'm watching Niki Lauda rambling on CNN right now, and there isn't even a cloud in the sky.

If the rain picks up any more, we’re looking at a start under the SC. 🙄

Rain or shine, the potential for first-lap chaos at the start is high:

1. Romain & Lewis - the highlight of the day
2. That Williams duo paired with Felipe
3. The Toro Rosso sandwich and its messy contents 😁 .....and maybe even the Caterham pair could stir things up too

Massa-Maldonado-Senna. 😍

Regardless, Massa will likely be busy playing bodyguard for Alonso.

If we get a wet track or even just a light drizzle. 👋
Then say goodbye—all three South Americans out in the first lap. 👋
David Anderson72 said:Smart in what way? If it stays dry, fine—they save tires. But they aren't fast enough for that to even matter much.
If it rains, those tires are useless anyway.

Unsure if rain is coming tomorrow, but I am certain we'll need the softs.
At least one set.

So why waste them today?
Brian Campbell36 said:So, basically, Red Bull and McLaren have much more competitive cars than Ferrari? 😕

For a single dry qualifying lap? Yes.
David Anderson72 said:I’m watching the gap closely. There are only two minutes left and they still haven't released the drivers, yet the crew is already flying through those fast laps. I don't buy the tire-saving excuse, especially with rain in the forecast...

It seems Ferrari thought they could play games with McLaren and Sebastian Vettel, but they couldn't even touch him in that single fast lap. Then you have Lotus, who are clearly thriving in this track heat.

A smart move, if you ask me.

shadowtinker29 said:You guys are still rambling about rain setups. That concept died out somewhere around 2008.

And what exactly died?

Higher wing angles?
Smaller brake cooling ducts?
Ride height?
Suspension stiffness and other settings—which are crucial for tire warm-up?
Differential settings?
Brake bias?

As expected, those 4 points were easier than ever to secure. ☕

Haha, I was just about to start typing this up.

Every single qualifying session this season, it’s the same thing. He complains about the car, the balance, the tires...

Give me a break. 🙄

Michael Schumacher, 2004.

The last time anyone actually won from pole here was in Canada.

Because...

What are you actually basing these claims on? Have you even been watching their lap times lately?
Is this based on what those "new" upgrades were supposed to do?

What? Honestly, what?

Ultimately, this just plays right into McLaren's hands.😳

If this forecast holds up, we’re looking at either half the race under a Safety Car, or a red flag.

The drainage on this track is completely broken. They’re supposedly working on a new asphalt layer, but even with just a little rain during FP2, standing puddles formed all over the circuit. In one spot, water was actually streaming across the track.
