I could use some advice regarding a wound on my shoulder...

Honestly, I think I first bumped it somewhere while out in the ocean, but I can't say for sure. I felt it at the time, but I didn't think much of it later.

I just figured, a scratch is just a scratch.🤷🤷

But yesterday, I was in Cleveland for the Youth Sports Games qualifiers (🙂). During the finals, as I was moving toward the pass, someone caught my right arm—I'm a lefty—and basically ripped that wound wide open.

Now it looks pretty disgusting. It’s huge, and it stings like hell.

The medic on-site tried to do something, but honestly, she just gave it a quick spray and called it a day. Not much help.🙄

Since my mom finished her degree at Johns Hopkins, I asked her what I should do. She wrote down a list of stuff to grab from the pharmacy, so I picked up the following:

- Bivacin ointment

- White medical tape

- Some kind of antiseptic

- And, obviously, sterile gauze.

I'm sure you're wondering why I'm posting this. You're probably thinking, "So what? It's just a wound, you've got the meds, how can we help?"

The thing is, I need this to heal fast. We have the big finals coming up in Miami, and I have to be there.

Please, if you have any extra tips or advice on how to speed up the healing process so this thing actually closes up, let me know.
