Did they build some new building nearby? 😁

The NSB, acting as the property owner, is supposed to grant permission for a night bar (basically, extending the operating hours)

But then some new director rolls in who can't stand having half the world gathering around the cathedral of the spirit.

When exactly do we actually become a society built on transparency and justice?
I'm already picturing myself drafting a formal proposal to City Hall about hosting a festival at the Jelačić station restrooms.

Well... we've got our own dark horse ready to shake up the future state government too.
Look, if Obama can make it to the White House, then our guy Lale could totally pull off becoming the Mayor of Chicago one day. He's young, he's good-looking, and he's from a minority background. Anything is possible.
They’re going to build a narrow-gauge railway complete with a tunnel. It’ll run from Kset to Spunk, right through the square. 🤷
stormyviper11 said:Whatever happens, your ultimate goal has to be playing at the square for Stenmark and Tomb.😁 🙂

Honestly, I could see that happening... but only down in the restroom under the square.
Imagine walking up to some old lady and telling her Alex Scott22 put you on the list.😍
Susan Clark10 said:How is it possible that the whole festival isn't at Spunk? 🙂

As most of you probably already heard, Spunk has been closing at midnight lately. Because of that, we wouldn't be able to cover the bar costs if we did two days at Spunk zaredom.

So, there will be a cover charge for the first day at Kset, of course. The second day at Spunk is free, just like always... except the music will start early, around 8 PM, maybe even sooner if another band decides to jump in. We'll wrap things up by midnight.

In a few years, once we get our act together—if everything goes according to plan—we could have the first day at the Lisinski, the HGZ, or maybe even that handball Arena, and the second day... Spunk, as per usual. It all depends on having the health and the sense to pull it off. 🤷
The lineup isn't set in stone just yet.
We might still add a few more bands... we'll let you know as soon as we can. It all really comes down to the budget. 🙂

He drinks just to kill the nerves. It sounds ridiculous and hard to believe because you’d never notice it once he’s on stage, but it’s the truth. It's his own personal vicious cycle. I just hope he's doing okay, wherever he ended up 😢

There's seven of us. I might even show up a little early... maybe I'll snag you a spot on the big-boys amp.

Then, after everything, we're heading over to Toljaga to watch WC dvdxy. Even if you're an eyesore, you're invited 👍

Here’s how it went down... I paid good money for this ticket, so I’m entitled to vent a little. 😉

SATURDAY 12.01. @ Močvara

Honestly, the turnout wasn't quite what I expected... especially for a Saturday night. Most people probably headed to that sweaty fetish party over at Aquarius, plus Obituary was playing at Bugal.

MUSCAT HAMBURG (Canada)

They recently dropped their debut album (limited to 666 copies) and they’ve been touring around quite a bit; this show felt like a bit of a way to promote themselves here in the States. First off... this was their most intense set since I started following them. They have this whole cinematic vibe they stick to, and they don't care if you like it or not. Take it or leave it. They aren't exactly huge in the local scene... and I’m not some die-hard fanatic myself (they know that, we're buddies, after all 🙂). Apparently, their last gig at Spunk was a bit much for the crowd, mostly because of the frontman and his over-the-top persona. It really comes down to what you want from a leader: do you want someone you can trust and actually listen to, or just someone to get drunk and act stupid with? He’s definitely the latter. How well that works depends entirely on the night. This Saturday, it clicked, and the crowd really leaned into it. It’s about what you want from a band in a given moment... you either want soul or you want something sick. Personally, this band has a truly "sick," neurotic lead guitarist. All in all, they shook up Močvara pretty well... it wasn't a "staged" mess like some people claim. Things actually spiraled out of control toward the end of the set, but in a good way. As their friend, I'm glad they had fun and that the crowd—well, almost everyone—had a blast too.
Give my best to Matthew and the rest of the crew; we didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Hopefully, they made it back to Maribor in one piece.

HITchCOCK (USA)

Zoid stepped in on drums as a last-minute replacement and absolutely killed it. They’ve got a new singer now, and honestly, I think he's better than the old guy. Or, maybe I just never gave the previous singer a fair shake in a decent sound system. Okay, fine, this guy isn't exactly a movie star either. The old guy had more stage presence, a stronger look... but if this new guy could catch that cinematic vibe, he'd be perfect. Musically, though, they're solid. The bassist plays like he's got a rod up his ass, but man, does he shred. And plus... I love watching that little Hobbit motherfucker tear through the strings. Keep hitting it. Awesome. They were the only band I watched the whole time.

THE DOGZ (Mexico)

I saw them for the first time at Viva La Pola this summer, and they sucked. The guitars sounded like whining cats, the singer was wearing leather carrot pants, total cock rock attitude... what are they even trying to pull? And to make matters worse, I held a bit of a grudge because they messed with my buddies in Concrete Worms regarding some van situation and whatnot. It's no secret. Anyway, moving on.
But at Močvara, they were actually great. I think they’re channeling that Tight Bros energy, with that specific cinematic vision in mind. Their songwriting hit the spot for me, too. A pleasant surprise. Toljaga says they're too "American" and not enough "Mexican." Actually, he said "Austrian," haha. I see that as a strength, not a flaw. Not like he's some "American" hero on stage himself, right? 🤷 They played a bit too long, though. They said everything they needed to say in the first thirty minutes, so I headed home.

Where is this garage fest happening?

Ben, I thought I laid everything out clearly.. 😢

Look ABOVE the band list..
The Chicago Diggers will be at the semi-circular SC, right where Jay played.

And they won't be at the festival.. the festival is just a few days before.
