Heavy color - plagiarism? in Music ·
And let's be honest, even Deep Purple borrowed quite a bit for Child in Time.

Honestly, all those tracks just fall flat for me. Who even cares about the riff? A riff isn't the foundation of a song, anyway.

It’s basically the exact same riff, and honestly, that’s all there is to it.
analogbear40, where on earth did you pick up such an incredible amount of knowledge regarding pop music? I seem to recall you mentioning something about working as a DJ at a local radio station or something along those lines?

ABBA - Money

is just how it goes... I think I listened to 'Take a Chance on Me' one too many times because now that melody is stuck on loop in my head 🤣
I’ve never quite wrapped my head around it, but apparently, a lot of people don't mind music being played at ear-splitting volumes. Whether I was catching a rock show out in the middle of downtown Chicago or if someone dragged me to some loud, pulsing club like a typical neon-lit dive bar, I always felt like my eardrums were about to burst. I remember this one friend of mine—bless her heart, but she could be a bit dim—who would insist on standing right directly under the speaker stack. She’d just stand there with this vacant little grin on her face while the bass was thumping so hard you felt like your internal organs were going to vibrate right out of your body, let alone just losing your hearing.
It’s like either people are already hard of hearing, or they genuinely believe the ear isn't an organ that can actually be damaged—that hearing isn't something you can just lose. Especially nowadays, with all this modern technology that makes it so easy to blast music way past any reasonable limit.
When it comes to headphones, you definitely shouldn't push the volume too far. Personally, if I’m using them, I keep the level just high enough to hear the music clearly without overdoing it. I’ve been dealing with tinnitus for about two years now, though it’s improved a bit lately. I suspect it might be linked to my sinuses and some blood pressure issues caused by congestion, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I managed to damage my hearing somewhere along the line. To be fair, I try my best to avoid places where the sound is pushed past the point of sanity.

And they don't just run, they actually sneak up on you too. 🤣

I can't quite recall the title off the top of my head... but I remember a movie from a few years back where everything was shot through a home security camera. You know, that style where you're just watching the footage from a wall-mounted camera at night, seeing ghosts tossing sheets around and all that creepy stuff?

Good grief, enough with these possession horror flicks. One is plenty, but seeing ten in a row? Give me a break.
I actually had nightmares just from watching the trailer yesterday, let alone sitting through the full movie. They claim it’s based on "true" events, which we all know means 99.1% of it was cooked up just for the drama. In my opinion, the grossest part of the trailer was that scene where the girl uses a flashlight to look into a mouth, and then two fingers start crawling out of her throat... honestly, that was just revolting. 🤣

I honestly don't get the point of horror movies anymore... it feels like they're just designed to mess with the heads of sensitive viewers. I once knew someone who was literally paralyzed in her seat at a theater after a horror movie and had to be rushed out by paramedics. Where are the good horror movies? You know, the ones with giant desert worms hunting people down... or those fun horror comedies. Those are more my speed.

And don't even get me started on how much they film about zombies these days. 🤮
At least the zombies back in the 80s were slow; these new ones have somehow learned how to sprint. 😂

What a bunch of nonsense. It’s all just garbage. Believe me, I know! 😁
Have you had unprotected sex recently, or perhaps come into contact with someone else's blood in some way?
If so, please go get tested for HIV and hepatitis.
That being said, I really don't want to scare you; honestly, I suspect your symptoms don't quite align with those specific illnesses.
If that isn't the case, you might be dealing with something psychological or nerve-related. Stress can wreak havoc on both your physical and mental health in ways you wouldn't believe—I've certainly been there myself.
Take a moment to reflect on what’s been happening in your life lately and what might be weighing on your subconscious. Around age 25, people often hit a breaking point because it's such a difficult time to navigate all the stress, expectations, and heavy responsibilities we're expected to shoulder. It makes you wish you could just pack up, move out to the Rocky Mountains, and herd sheep instead of dealing with all this pressure.

Of course, the only one I really know is United Nations, and honestly, that song is a total masterpiece. I think I might recognize Rosanna too, though the name isn't jumping out at me right this second.
Reddit has been incredibly sluggish lately, and there are times when the site won't even load at all—this has actually been an issue for quite a while now. I really wish someone had stepped in to address this sooner.
