Great! 👋
But here's the catch—since I picked this new doctor on a whim because she seemed nice, I didn't really stop to consider the commute, and now she lives way across town from where I actually live. If I decide in a year or two that I want to switch to someone closer to home, am I actually allowed to do that?
I just switched to a new doctor, and she handed me this printed form from the forum that I need to get verified at some local health department office. I’m assuming it’s based on where I live?
What am I supposed to do about my old doctor? Do I actually have to trek over there, grab my physical medical file, and lug it all the way to the new clinic? Or does that even matter anymore now that everything is integrated into these computerized systems?😕
Honestly, those paper files probably just end up in a dumpster anyway, so why bother going back for them? 🤷 And frankly, I really don't feel like dealing with my old doctor—sitting in a waiting room for three hours just to argue with her and explain myself. Is there any way to just skip that whole headache?
Long hair tends to fray at the ends much faster; it honestly requires a lot more maintenance. You need regular trims if you want to keep it looking decent. Don't worry, you aren't going to go gray over this...

At the end of the day, you're introducing a foreign object into the vagina along with external bacteria; I'm not talking about STIs like chlamydia, just the natural bacteria present on the genitals, so it simply takes time for the body to adjust...
My blood sugar is spiking just reading this. When I'm running low, I’m basically a zombie, completely non-functional. I need my tea—and I need to take it slow.

Reading through all that is just exhausting. I’d much rather have a straightforward list of groceries that are packed with those nasty additives. Does anyone happen to have a resource like that handy?
It all comes down to a deficiency in Vitamin B12 and iron; if your scalp isn't getting enough nutrients, it starts pumping out gray hair way ahead of schedule. I went through the exact same thing myself. I’m only 20, but I decided to go all in on a heavy vitamin regimen—did several rounds of supplements—and honestly, things have improved significantly. I'm also trying my best to keep the stress levels under control, though at the end of the day, I can't help but wonder if my genetics are just working against me...

You really need to embrace that and just start living your own life, regardless of what Mom thinks about you. At the end of the day, she’s your mother, but you are your own person. You just need to become🙂 independent. All those other arguments and constant questioning will just lead you straight to a dead end.😉

To be perfectly honest, I have never actually met anyone who possesses what one might call an ideal relationship with their parents—at least, not by my own definition of the term—though I have certainly heard plenty of people toss those phrases around in conversation.
I don't even know how to make her see it. She still looks at me like I'm some naive kid, and she treats me with this suffocatingly overprotective attitude because of it.

'Holding yourself back just to please your mother' isn't all that different. 😉 Down the road, you're going to look back and regret everything you missed out on because you played it safe. Believe me, I know from experience, unfortunately.
As of right now, I don't regret a single thing... if anything, I'm actually glad I exercised some restraint instead of rushing headlong into things or acting purely out of spite, because if I had, I'd be feeling pretty miserable right now about having slept with people I only had passing whims about at the time.🙂

Especially since your mom is just doing what she thinks is best for you. 🙂 It’s a completely different story when you view it through your own lens, though, which is probably why it gets under your skin subconsciously. But look, you still have a few years ahead of you, especially if you're sticking with school, to build a relationship with her based on actual trust and being open with one another... Don't sweat it too much, she knows you're becoming an adult, and the only thing that might really shake her confidence in you is if you start acting reckless. But if you stay responsible—and looking at everything you wrote here, I’d say you definitely are—then things should fall into place quite nicely. If not, well, eventually you'll just have to cut that umbilical cord once and for all. 🤷
One more thing, though... nobody hands you a permission slip to be happy. You have to go out and make that happen for yourself. 😉
I am not being irresponsible, and she knows that perfectly well when she hears about all the crap my peers are pulling. 😁
I know I have to take care of my own happiness... I was just exaggerating my little problem in the title. 😍

I don't feel bad about it. 🙂 I have no interest in exhausting myself by jumping through hoops just to satisfy someone else's definition of what "normal" should look like.😍
I really should have mentioned earlier how wonderful it is that your mom actually cares enough to check in on where you are and what you're up to, right? Isn't it so much better to have a parent who genuinely gives a damn about your life and who you're hanging out with rather than someone who just couldn't care less? 🙂 Maybe try sitting her down for a real, heart-to-heart conversation to explain what's going on in your world.
Trust me, I know. 🙂 I've already started sorting some things out, and I'll get to the rest of it eventually... it takes time, and you can't just fix everything overnight.
