Some of them are going for as little as 8 bucks. I mean, let's be real—who’s actually going to drop their money on an external hard drive when you can snag 250 gigs for about the price of three craft beers at a local pub?
Yeah, I ended up setting mine up the exact same way—two fans in the front and one in the back. Everything flows perfectly through the Corsair LL120, which I also have oriented in the same direction.
Well, in that case, I’m sticking with wired setups. Even if I have to deal with cables constantly trailing across the floor and getting crushed under my chair every single day 😁
Hey everyone, I'm looking for some recommendations on wireless Bluetooth headphones with a decent built-in mic for some light gaming. I haven't quite figured out which models actually hold up, and I'd like to keep the budget around $100. Does anyone here have any hands-on experience with a specific model that might fit the bill?
I actually picked up the Cooler Master Hyper 212 specifically because of how easy it makes accessing the case. I mean, I rarely ever open the side panel, except when I’m doing some deep cleaning, but having that ease of access is nice. It really comes down to personal preference, though—it's all about what you value. As far as I can tell, the build quality remains top-tier regardless of that specific feature.
I’m currently running an LC CC 120—any recommendations for an upgrade? As for the case, I have a Corsair R1. Any suggestions there? Or maybe looking at a Noctua NF-P12 or even a Noctua NF-P12+... honestly, it's just a matter of personal preference. Though, I suppose the number of fans available is worth considering.
I actually pulled this off on an older workstation at the office. I moved the drive from the old machine over to a newer one, and it’s been running perfectly ever since. It’s been two years now, and Windows XP is still holding up just fine. I just had to go through the process of reinstalling all the drivers once I got it up and running.
I didn't want to clutter things up by starting a whole new thread, so I figured I'd just drop my question here. I'm currently running a 4GB stick of RAM:
I’m looking to add another 4GB to the mix, but I've run into a bit of a snag—this Motorola module isn't really available on the market anymore. What should I be looking for to ensure everything plays nice together? Should I be focusing strictly on matching the MHz and all that? Thanks in advance.
I’ve got an R1 myself, and I ended up swapping that front setup so I have two intakes and a single rear exhaust. Since I’m not really sure how that top part is supposed to vent the air, I figured it wasn't worth messing with the upper fairing cover.
About three years ago, I picked up a desktop build, and the guy at Best Buy assured me those budget power supplies weren't actually that bad. He basically talked me into grabbing a Spira 420W unit bundled with a case for a total of $77. To this day, everything still runs without a hitch, though I can't tell if that’s just pure luck or something else entirely. On top of that, I put an Akkyga unit in my parents' computer for $33, and that one has been humming along perfectly for over a year now. I’m not much of a gamer, so I don't really push the system with heavy loads; I suppose it’s just survived this long because it hasn't been stressed .
That’s great, thanks so much for the advice. Since I don't really run anything particularly demanding on this setup, 4 GB should still be plenty for my needs, and I'll be sticking with the Nvidia GeForce GT series currently in the machine. You guys were incredibly quick and helpful, which I really appreciate. 🙂
