Please, let me be clear: my decision to enroll was made in good faith. I truly believe that Hannah Brown7 deserves the title of "magnificent," given the discernment, sophistication, and impeccable manners evident in her posts. 👍 It is something I admire with my entire heart and soul. Consequently, please do not involve me in this matter or attempt to use me as an example, please.
Richard Nelson84 is doing his job as a moderator, and frankly, he deserves credit for locking a thread where people were openly threatening violence 👍 just typical high-strung American temperaments 😍 🤣

The motivation doesn't necessarily have to be financial; I am genuinely curious if there are people who simply find urban life overwhelming and have decided to retreat into nature with animals. I am talking about individuals who have no desire to conform to social circles or spend their lives chasing jobs and money.
What would that kind of existence look like? Does anyone have actual experiences or recommendations to share?
I don't personally know anyone who has done it, but I have been dreaming about this since my early thirties. One day, it will happen. I am certain it will be fulfilling. I won't need the internet, a phone, or even a television; just myself and the company of animals.
Perhaps one could simply send a document containing all the relevant links regarding the amendments directly to a moderator via private message, and they can then append it to the locked thread. This would allow one specific thread to remain organized with all necessary data and links for easy navigation, while the other thread serves solely for casual chat and those inevitable questions that have already been answered a million times despite the provided resources.
I have no desire to judge anyone based on a mere couple of posts, but if the rule is clearly stated—that there is to be no debating the moderator guidelines in that PDF—and yet people insist on being defiant, acting out with attitudes like, "You don't know who I am, don't try to teach me discipline," only to rack up warnings and continue their nonsense here, what else can you call that if not entitlement? In this country, we'd call that a bunch of soft cocks; if it weren't pathetic, it would actually be laughable.
Do not worry, I have also racked up my fair share of warnings within the diaspora, though never for the reasons most of you do. Besides, I couldn't care less; I'm not even sure why I bother getting involved. Consider this a promise: I am done.

"Inside Information" 😉 The Canadian government wants to fast-track skilled worker immigration so that by the end of this year, you can check both applicant numbers and employer demand directly on the official government site. Phenomenal, right? Except we’ll probably have to wait another full year before they actually pull it off...
But if you ask the diaspora moderator, everything's already been said, so they've basically shut down any real conversation.
Idiots!🙄
What is the issue with adding all these new changes, amendments, and updates to the master thread "Canada - Useful and Relevant Links"? It would keep everything in one place and make it easy to navigate. I don't see you or anyone else busting your backs trying to update the existing master thread with new links, yet when it comes to nitpicking and complaining, you're the first ones there—typical!
By the way, I don't follow hundreds of forums like some people do, but this is the first forum where I've seen a pzk sub-forum; on all the others I visit, it simply doesn't exist! If I were the owner, there wouldn't even be one here, but clearly, spoiled children need it.
I don't know you. I have no idea what your previous username on Reddit even was, but based on everything you've posted here, it seems you either don't know what you want or you lack the ability to explain it in a way that the moderators, admins, or other users can actually follow. I attempted to parse several of your sentences, but I failed; all I could gather is that your supposed point has shifted significantly from the start of this thread to the middle, and again in this latest post. Let’s be clear: I am not a fan of moderators or any form of authority or law enforcement—so let me preemptively dismiss any accusation that I am sucking up to them—but the moderator has already apologized to you. Neither I nor anyone else reading this thread understands what more you are looking for or what kind of guarantees you require. If you are fearful of what lies ahead, the issue isn't the moderators or the users; the issue is your own lack of self-confidence.
In my view, your reaction is excessive. Your ego has been bruised because you were "exposed," and you are simply angry at yourself because you realize that your "famous little outfit" is the reason for it all.
Listen, you need to appoint a few more moderators equipped with basic tools—specifically the eraser. Anything that doesn't belong in a specific thread should be tossed straight into the trash. Take the "Australia Work and Life" thread, for instance: any question regarding how to emigrate needs to be deleted immediately, as does anything concerning visas. There is already a dedicated thread for that: Emigration to Australia. Eventually, people will hopefully develop enough common sense to understand how to phrase their inquiries. Anyone incapable of discerning which topic applies to their specific issue is simply proving their own incompetence, and such content deserves to be purged. This rule should also apply to those notoriously idiotic questions like "what are my chances?" and things of that nature.
The problem is solved; just add two or three more mods and let the deletions begin. The useful information has been buried under a mountain of moronic questions anyway.
P.S. A small note before anyone reacts too aggressively: I haven't mentioned banning anyone once. I am strictly talking about deletion—cleaning up threads by removing the junk and the spam.
Regarding the subject of the diaspora, here is my take from someone living abroad. As some have pointed out, we consider this PDF our virtual gathering place; its primary purpose is social interaction, unwinding, chatting, comparing prices, lifestyles, and helping those who intend to join the emigration. However, we do not view this PDF exclusively as an information desk for immigration advice, and I believe I speak for the majority when I say that every hair on my body stands up when I read something like: "I am an engineer in [profession], I have [x] years of experience, what are my chances of getting a visa for [country]?" What kind of odds are you expecting? In percentages? We aren't psychics, Milan. Does anyone realize how foolish they sound when they write that? Many times I wanted to respond—though I know I'd just get banned for it—that there is only one possible answer to such a question: zero! Every single chat thread has been ruined precisely because people troll the topic by asking for immigration advice or seeking tips. I have much more to say, but I am exhausted; my work schedule runs from dawn till dusk, but that is just life in Australia 😬 please do not fault me for my honesty
I did not recognize myself in that description, though I have never once told anyone their performance was subpar, even when I clearly identified it as such. My apologies for the misunderstanding. It will not happen again.
Chloe Hughes15 said:Sure, there were plenty of guys back in the day posting under slogans like "just chillin'... stay lowkey." But I get why some people prefer that kind of vibe. On top of that, we could have used this flock to pick on that old-timer Vilk; it’s honestly a shame that isn't how things work anymore. : sarcasm:
I apologize for our crude behavior, which clearly hasn't met the standards expected of a forum like Reddit! I have no intention of dragging Vilk into this specific discussion because the subject at hand is moderation—a topic upon which I hold firm views—rather than him. I would rather keep his name out of it, as I have actually learned a thing or two in my 39 years, even if my way of speaking remains, shall we say, unrefined.
