Honestly, I've resorted to putting a towel under my head just to catch the drool. It's freaking terrifying...😁 And I just took a little nap this afternoon, and now there's a literal puddle on the couch. 🤦
I’m feeling a little better now seeing that I'm definitely not alone in this... hopefully everything settles down once I hit the third trimester. 🤷
Oh, and the weather... I've never been much of a heat or sun person, so this humidity is absolutely killing me. I just stepped out of the shower, applied some lotion, and I'm already sweating like crazy. 😠😠 I don't even want to think about what I'm going to look like by the time I'm actually in labor 😳. I really hope they have decent AC at Petrov's hospital and that they actually turn it on. 😉
I’ve been dealing with this crazy drooling situation while I sleep😳 , probably for about a month now. It’s like my brain just forgets how to swallow while I'm out, and I usually end up waking up to this cold, wet patch on my pillow. And don't even get me started on the other night—I fell asleep on my boyfriend's chest and ended up leaving a massive ten-centimeter wet spot right on his pec😁 . I teased him about it later, joking that he was starting to leak milk out of pure solidarity with me.😂
I honestly can't stand tobacco smoke, so I make sure to stay far away from it. It doesn't bother my neighbors or any family coming over for a visit because they don't feel any pressure to light up in front of me. 😠 Sure, it's their house, but those types would probably try to light up at my place too. At first, we let them, but then I just had enough... I looked at my husband and told him, "Nobody is smoking in this house ever again!" 😠 And then I'm the one stuck airing out the place for days on end! I really don't get how some smokers have the nerve to even ask if they can light up when they already know we don't smoke. We don't even keep an ashtray in the house.
What’s been driving me absolutely crazy over the last month, though, is this brutal bladder pressure 😢 ...it starts with this intense pressure, then I go use the bathroom, and then for a few minutes afterward, it hurts so bad I can barely walk. I guess the little guy just likes lying right on top of my bladder 😁
Ronald Williams9 said:I have to say, I was genuinely irritated today when I spotted a pregnant woman who was clearly on high-risk monitoring—just standing right there in front of the hospital in her pajamas, clutching a drink in her hand.
What an eyesore.
Man, you see that all the time👎 at the local Mayo Clinic. The best part was when I showed up for my own checkup early this morning—it was freezing out, and even though I’m usually the type to overheat, I was actually shivering. Meanwhile, you’ve got these smokers wandering out in front of the entrance wearing nothing but thin nightgowns and robes, just rocking sandals without any socks on.😲
And here we are, stressing out about whether we're gonna be stuck eating raw cabbage and tuna for lunch or what.😁
My OB-GYN over at the local community health center can't even write a simple referral for bloodwork without making a mess of it... I ended up stuck there for an hour trying to clear things up with the lab techs 😠 If it were any closer, I would’ve just gone to a private clinic to get the tests he forgot, but honestly, I’m just not up for driving all over town by myself anymore. I was planning on just waiting until after I have the baby to switch doctors, but if this guy keeps messing up, I might just make the move sooner rather than later! 😠
Waiting in line at the local clinic in downtown Chicago for blood work today: It was basically the same mess as a few months back, though the waiting room was actually half-empty this time, which made me think I’d get seen way faster. They had these two separate drop boxes for referrals: one specifically for pregnant women and one for everyone else. But man, I still ended up sitting there for fifty fucking minutes! 😠 There were a couple of other pregnant ladies there too, just grumbling and looking confused about the whole setup. And don't even get me started on how they were letting all the non-pregnant people cut right in front of us without a second thought. It happened exactly the same way a few months ago when my husband came with me; he got his blood drawn and then just breezed through the line about thirty minutes before I even got close. 😲 I honestly don't get why they need a special little box just for pregnancy referrals anyway?!? 😠
steelridge13 said:It honestly drives me crazy how every single shirt I own ends up with some random stain right on the chest or the stomach area. Because if the top part happens to be a bit too tight, then the bottom part just... stops working. 🤦 I feel like a messy little kid! 🤣
Oh man, tell me about it! For some reason, my chest area stays pretty clear, so all the mess just migrates straight to my stomach... honestly, I've got a tube of toothpaste on standby at all times just to deal with it 😁
My OBGYN over at the local clinic 😠 (though I usually go to the specialist in Mayo Clinic), keeps prescribing me just one box of Normabel at a time. I’m taking three tablets a day, and there are only 30 in a box, so that stuff lasts me exactly ten days. Since I’m on bed rest right now, I sent my husband over to pick up the prescription. I even left a note saying I take them three times a day and need at least two boxes—honestly, I don't know how much clearer I can make it. Plus, he's got my lab results from the Mayo Clinic specialist that he sends over every single time... yet it’s been the exact same headache for the last 20 weeks since I started this treatment. 😠 It’s like the pills just vanish into thin air or something. Even my doctor at the Mayo Clinic thinks it's ridiculous how they handle this. And seriously, am I supposed to be worrying about my blood pressure while dealing with an idiot like this?! Good grief, you'd think he actually finished grade school, but apparently, he can't even figure out how to divide 30 by 3! 😠
Honestly, my bladder is driving me absolutely insane lately 😠 It’s constant—sometimes it’s just a few drops, sometimes it feels like a full load, and other times it’s just this intense, heavy pressure down low. I can’t even go anywhere without mentally mapping out every single restroom in the building just in case I need to run. 😁 Plus, these stretch marks on my legs are getting on my nerves. I feel like I’m the only person ever to get them there instead of on my stomach—though hey, I guess I still have some time before that becomes an issue 😱... it’s honestly such a drag having to deal with it during a checkup when I have to get undressed 😁 because, let’s be real, the inside of those marks looks pretty rough 😲
And now, out of nowhere, I’ve developed this weird obsession that I’m going to go into labor before I even have a chance to wash my hair and get a proper wax.
I’m starting to get the distinct feeling that people just have it out for pregnant women: My husband’s family—specifically his sister... she calls him constantly because she’s always dealing with some health issue, nothing major, but she only ever reaches out when she needs a favor or wants someone to run errands for her. 🙄 Then, during our last chat, I catch her asking about me: "Is she getting fat?" My husband was like, "No, she actually lost 4 pounds," 😍 love him. Look, I know I’ve got more to lose than I used to, but is that really the first thing you ask a pregnant woman? 😠
And then today, while she was visiting relatives over at our place in town, she practically just stares at me through the window. She didn't even bother calling to say she was coming by to congratulate me or anything... nope. I mentioned it to my husband, and I could tell he felt terrible. It's not his fault his sister acts like this, and honestly, no matter what he says to her, it's just going to turn into a fight.
To be honest, I don't really want them hanging around the house all the time anyway. She's totally shameless about it, even asking if she can light a candle at our place (I told my husband there's zero chance of that happening), but still, it would've been nice if she showed up to celebrate. I'm just so fed up with us always being the ones making the effort to visit them...
I’d love to give her a piece of my mind regarding how she's acting, but I'm not exactly the most tactful person and I really don't want to start a massive blowout. If anyone has any subtle suggestions on how to drop a hint without causing a scene... I'd really appreciate it. 😉
So, Jesus, this lady just called me out of the blue earlier, and after all the usual questions about the pregnancy, she asks if the baby is kicking yet. I totally lit up and started rambling on about how my little guy is basically a tiny heavyweight boxer in there and 😍 Then comes the kicker—she goes, "Oh, and does the baby scratch you with their nails?" 😱 😲 I mean, obviously, once those little claws grow in, they're gonna scratch. Honestly, I think I'm gonna have nightmares.
Look, re_nata, 🙂 if I were in your shoes... honestly, I’d probably just cut ties with everyone. I get it—being a daughter-in-law is a rough gig, and maybe your husband needs to step up more, though I know he’s likely caught in the middle and feeling the heat too. But seriously, I don't see any other way out than to stand your ground, show some backbone, and just distance yourself from people like that.
Ever since I got pregnant, my husband’s aunt has been constantly hovering over us—just this super annoying, high-maintenance old lady that nobody in the family actually likes, even though she's got a whole house full of kids and grandkids. She’d show up all sniffly and "under the weather" just to gossip about everyone... and man, it drove me absolutely insane. Since the moment I moved into our place, I’ve made a rule: when the doorbell rings, I’m just not opening it. 😁 If someone actually needs me, they can hit my cell. She’s probably tapped on the window a hundred times by now, but I don't give a damn, I'm not opening up. 😁 Whenever my husband is home, he just tells her I’m napping or that I’m out running errands, so she usually takes the hint and clears out pretty fast. 😉
Ugh, I’ve got a doctor’s appointment tomorrow and I’m already stressing over which shoes to wear. I was thinking maybe some cute little flats, but honestly, I’ll probably just end up sticking to my 🙂 😱 because they're the only thing that feel right. I mean, my shins are looking a little puffy, but my feet felt totally fine until just now 😢
And don't even get me started on the food situation... I'm about two days away from hitting the one-month mark on this diet, and let me tell you, I am straight-up dreaming about cookies 😳
I had some nausea right at the start, T. Aside from feeling super sleepy—which might just be because I'm dieting and my blood pressure and sugar levels have dipped, which honestly isn't a bad thing for me—the hypochondria is what's really getting on my nerves 😠 Since yesterday, I feel like I'm getting contractions more often, so I've been constantly checking my belly. I even tried to check my cervix to see if I'd started dilating (look, don't judge me, we've all been there!), but now my butt feels all out of whack and I can't quite reach properly, which sent me into another little panic. Then I ended up Googling it and found out it’s totally fine, as long as things aren't shifting forward.

So, ever since I found out I was pregnant, things have been getting under my skin. But honestly? I am absolutely livid at the doctors. They’ve spent this entire pregnancy spooking me for no reason. I didn't know any better, so I just blindly followed their lead, only to realize I've basically been dealing with a "textbook" pregnancy this whole time without the actual drama they made it out to be. Look, I'm not saying it's entirely on me—there's way too much noise on the internet—but when you can't go there because your doctor isn't giving you clear or sufficient answers, where else are you supposed to turn?
It drives me crazy how they described something as minor as being "a fingertip's width short" as some absolute catastrophe, forcing me into STRICT bed rest. That’s two months of my life gone, and I'm never getting those days back. And don't even get me started on the money I wasted on $283 an appointment where the doctor didn't even bother using an ultrasound to check my cervix. No, she just did a manual exam, decided I was "three-quarters of an inch short," and presented it to me with this grim look like I wouldn't even make it to my due date. She sold me a scare tactic, I bought it, and we both spent way too long paralyzed by fear. Did I need that? Hell no! 😳 On top of that, the doctor keeps sending me for endless tests just because of my weight and the fact that the baby is big, so I'm stuck shuffling through hospital corridors and sitting around terrified waiting for results that probably won't change anything.
Everything that's happened over these last seven and a half months just feeds directly into my hypochondria. And frankly, I hate that about myself. It bugs me that I felt like I knew nothing about pregnancy, that anyone could talk me into believing anything, and most of all, I hate that I can't get back the time I spent living in constant fear... Thanks for listening.
1. I’ve always been like that from the jump, and people told me it was totally normal, even though their reports would say "bed rest" while telling me to my face that I could still go work out.
2. I am right there with you on that one. At this rate, I'm hoping I can just check into the hospital and stay in bed once it's actually time to deliver! 😠
3. Man, are we all just related or something? 😁 I honestly feel bad bringing up all my anxieties to my girlfriends, but part of me just wants to get checked out constantly—you know, run every test possible just to be sure everything is fine so I can head in for an ultrasound every single day... just without having to actually live in a hospital room.😉
I’m seriously losing my mind here, just finished week 28 and I feel like I could sleep for a century 😠 Honestly, I’ve just been crashing all day, only actually getting up if I need to grab a snack or hit the restroom 😳 Is anyone else feeling this way, or am I just totally out of whack?
Oh man, total nightmare. I just spotted my first stretch marks right on my belly 🙂 😠 specifically down and to the left of my belly button. I’ve been moisturizing twice a day using some Penaten and Bubchen lotions, though maybe they aren't fatty enough? Honestly, I just hate the feeling of slathering myself in stuff—especially when I already feel gross after using body oil. I'm only 29 weeks along, so if this is how it looks now, I can only imagine what happens by the end of the 🙂 And don't even get me started on my legs and thighs... the stretch marks there are a disaster. If we go to the beach this summer, I'm definitely wearing those knee-length swim shorts!
John Baker5 said:Some woman totally got under my skin during that 1 vs 100 show on Sunday 🤦 . It made me wonder why people have such a reputation for being difficult 🙄.
Then this morning, I was stuck waiting at the clinic to get blood work done... the waiting room was packed, and of course, I’m the one standing the whole time after waiting an hour. To make matters worse, it was so stuffy in there, but the older ladies refused to let anyone open the windows because they didn't want to catch a cold or something 🙄.
Next time you're at the front desk, just tell that lady, "Hey, I'm pregnant" right off the bat. 😎 If they don't call you in immediately after that, then you've got every right to be annoyed! One time, I actually took a Post-it note, wrote "Pregnant" on it, and slapped it right onto my referral paperwork—and lo and behold, they called me in before everyone else.
Honestly, what bugs me is how people think you should just spend the whole day napping 🙂
Sean Long4 said:Honestly, I’m feeling pretty frustrated lately. Dealing with gestational diabetes means I have to stick to a strict diet even while pregnant, which is exhausting. On top of that, I’ve started waddling like a duck whenever I walk... it's just not my most graceful look.
And don't even get me started on the crowds on the city buses; there's always some group of people who'll crowd in and refuse to budge, acting like they wouldn't let God Himself sit down if they had the chance.
Ooouuuu yesss 😠 I mean, I guess I have myself to blame since I have a massive sweet tooth and definitely went way overboard with the sugar lately. Now I feel like I'm overcompensating by having these random outbursts of anger—which I think I've just been bottling up for years, since I'm usually such a sweetheart with everyone. Even my best friend actually pointed out how much more I've been swearing lately. 😳😁 Honestly, thank God I'm dealing with these complications now, otherwise who knows what I would've ended up snapping at my coworkers back at the office. 😳
