Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I ended up grabbing a massive bag of banana chips, so I’ve been tossing them in my morning shake with some creatine 😁

I mean, if you’re already paying for it, you might as well actually do something, right? Just hit the treadmill or throw some crunches in there if you aren't feeling the whole bodybuilding vibe... I don't know, what kind of crowd even hangs out there?

You're lucky, your board actually supports AM3 processors if you have BIOS 5002 installed... maybe you could grab something like this:

1 x Intel Core i5, socket AM3, BOX , 2Mb cache, 95W
1 x XFX HD6770 850M 1GB DDR5 DVI, VGA, HDMI, PCI Express, DX11. HDMI 1.4a

1.$176

What kind of power supply are you running? If it's super old and not exactly high-end, you might want to swap that out too...

And here's another GPU option... used, draws a ton of power, and it's a bit older, but honestly way stronger than the HD 6770

thanks, seems like a solid idea, though, uh, it doesn't say anything about AM3 support here

- Support AMD Socket AM2+/AM2 CPU

is this AM2+ thing compatible with AM3? I have no clue, total noob here 😁

Alright, so I've got this motherboard

ASUS M2N32-SLI deluxe http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD...eless_Edition/

I'm running an Intel Core 2 Duo processor
my current card is an Nvidia 8800 GTS

I was wondering what the absolute best upgrade would be for this board... honestly, price doesn't really matter to me, and I don't care which store I get it from.

I rushed in, realized what I'd done once I actually became a member, but honestly, I just couldn't be bothered to go back and edit it. 🤣

I’m looking for training sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays, or maybe Wednesdays and Fridays—something like that, but in the afternoon. My MMA classes are in the evenings, see, and I tried asking around, but I couldn't find anything useful online, so I figured I'd just ask you guys. 😢

Dammit, does anyone know if there are any jujitsu classes happening during the day in the city? I've got Krav Maga on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, plus I have a regular gig every Thursday... 😢 I mean, ideally, the training would wrap up by 6 or 7 PM?

Drew Castillo11 said:Does anyone actually know how many kettlebell sessions they run? I read somewhere that they organize those alongside Krav Maga. And how often per week?
thanks

The kettlebell workouts follow this schedule, I believe:
Group A: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

I'm not entirely sure though, so maybe $67? You should probably double-check just in case—shoot them an email or give them a call.

I mean, I think the coach is actually asking the women to wear protective gear for their lady parts : )

(I honestly thought they meant training in a standard setting—you know, like a basic self-defense course where you aren't being barked at, so I wouldn't be playing boss if someone grabbed me on a street corner... glad I asked sooner.😁)
By the way, how much does the course actually cost? I was browsing their site and saw they have a hall over by the State Fairgrounds, which would actually work out perfectly since it's pretty close to me.

$83 Monthly, with three 90-minute sessions a week.

What kind of sport would you suggest for a 20-year-old woman who’s about 110 lbs and 5'7", and hasn't really done anything athletic before?😁 Maybe something like a self-defense class or something along those lines?🤷 It would be ideal if the gym was located near the Savannah area.🙂
I’ve been thinking about Krav Maga, but I’m not sure how beginner-friendly it is for someone starting out very thin and physically weak, so I’m looking for some advice here..

Regarding Krav Maga... I mean, where do you even start with that? It’s such a specific rabbit hole. I guess if you're looking for the real deal, you have to look at how they approach everything—it's all about efficiency, right? No flashy spinning kicks like you see in those Hollywood movies, just... pure utility. Maybe that's why people get so obsessed with it. It's less like a sport and more like a survival manual you can actually move with. I don't know, I might be overthinking it, but there's something almost clinical about the way they teach it. Just straight to the point. Total chaos turned into a system, I suppose.

You’ll need a mouthguard and some athletic cup protection. You don't really need to worry about sneakers since you won't be wearing them during training anyway. Just hit up Profight or Pride—it’s not like we're talking huge amounts of cash here, I guess. Maybe just grab what you need and call it a day.

So, I started training about two months ago—not that I had any actual fitness to speak of, mind you—and honestly? I feel pretty great right now. I guess it’s working. Maybe. :)

I was browsing around online today—you know how it goes, just falling down these rabbit holes when you should probably be doing something productive—and I stumbled onto this page for a Krav Maga club based out of a major city over in Europe. It’s interesting, really. They’ve got all these different locations listed for their training sessions. It actually made me think about the local martial arts scene here in the States. If you were looking for something similar in a place like Chicago or maybe even Philly, you’d probably be looking at places like Gracie Barra or some specialized tactical training centers. The layout of the site is pretty straightforward, though. It lists out the specific branches where they run their classes. It’s kind of funny how much these things vary from city to city, isn't it? In a huge metro area like New York or LA, you have a thousand options, but in smaller cities, you might just have one solid spot that everyone knows about. Anyway, just a random thought while I was killing time. I guess I just appreciate seeing how different communities organize their training. Might look into a class myself eventually... maybe. We'll see.

I don't even know where you call home, but hey—here goes nothing : )

So, I was over at the community sports center last night hanging out with Sasha. Honestly? The workout was killer. Like, 10/10 satisfied, but man... 🙂
It was super intense. And look, I'm definitely not in peak physical shape right now, so I actually had to take a quick breather halfway through. Just once, maybe.
Plus, I’m apparently still a total klutz when it comes to using a jump rope. I could already see the looks on everyone's faces when they saw me struggling with it. Probably embarrassing, I guess. 🤣
Anyway, that’s the update! Just get out there and do it.
🙂

shadowseal372 said:I've got a question too... Krav Maga for women. I saw they have classes over at the local community sports center, but does anyone here actually have experience with that specific club? Like, what are the training sessions really like, how are the instructors, and what's the membership fee situation...
Also, do you guys think Krav Maga is actually a good choice for women?

Maybe this could help you out.

Actually, I'm heading to my very first training session today 🙂 (though I'm definitely not a woman xD)

I need to grab some suspenders and dental gum tomorrow. Is there anything like a Pro Fight Store over in Dubrava? I'm coming from Sesvete, so honestly, I really don't feel like trekking all the way across town... if there isn't anything nearby, well, I guess I'll just have to make the trip anyway.😁
