How to stay motivated to work out? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Look, if you want to actually stick to a workout routine, you’ve gotta find that spark—like hitting the trails when the weather is perfect, or going for a run and checking out some cool spots along the way. I did exactly that today—hit the coast on my bike and cruised through basically every beach from San Diego down to Coronado, and man, it was eerie... not a single tourist in sight in any of the main boardwalk areas! They were all huddled up in the downtown core or something. You need to make it fun. Whether you're training with a buddy, chasing a specific rep count, or just trying to hit a certain number of minutes, you have to turn it into something you actually enjoy. If you don't, you're just gonna quit before you even get started. It doesn't have to be a daily grind—don't beat yourself up if you aren't feeling it every single day—but when you *do* show up, make it count. Go hard, get sweaty, and seriously push yourself!

Responding to goldenfox24's request... look, when you're in certain poses and wearing tight compression gear, it really shows how the muscle sits right under the fat layer... specifically just below the navel in this shot, your finger would sink nearly half an inch before hitting those rock-hard muscles...

Strictly for those who appreciate the shredded look 😉

And here are some fresh shots from my end... the abs are definitely popping now. I’m still sitting right at 155 lbs just like I was two months ago—actually, I might even be a hair heavier now—which means I've definitely packed on some lean mass while dropping the body fat significantly compared to before.

I’m seriously thinking about grabbing a tub of this zero-carb Whey just to see if it actually lives up to the hype... fingers crossed I can track down some Pro Nutrition or maybe that Optimum Nutrition WHEY protein 100 %

Man, I took a ton of photos today.....
So here’s my progress. I’ve been hitting the chest hard over the last few months—well, okay, "hard" might be an overstatement—it was more like every third day for maybe 10-15 minutes at a time. Honestly? It feels like I'm stuck halfway to where I actually want to be . I’d say I need another 6 months of solid work, and I’ll probably spend the whole summer just messing around with chest days to get them right...

Man, this was taken the exact same day I posted that other shot where I was sucking in my gut to show off the abs. This one's just me totally relaxed.

Alright, here’s a shot of me lying down, sucking in my gut as hard as I can. You can tell there's some muscle popping up in the middle, but honestly? There is zero definition to speak of—it's just all buried under a layer of body fat. I can actually feel those top four abs under my fingertips, but they’re way too weak to show through visually.🤷
That’s why I’m planning to ramp up the cardio, though I’m low-key terrified I’ll end up breaking my diet and reaching for some extra cottage cheese... maybe throw in some more chest work too.

Anyway, I figured I’d drop one of the background shots from that collection right here... hey, better than nothing, right?🤷 Plus, who knows, maybe there are some people out there who are actually into the backgrounds.🤷

Dropping some more shots from this morning... I couldn't really hit all my poses to really pop the chest because I’ve always got one hand stuck up holding the phone, which is a total pain—but once summer hits and I'm hanging out at some beach, once I've bulked up those pecs even more, I'll get the real shots in. 😁 You can see every single muscle and vein popping in my arm—that's what we call definition, baby. 😁 @Thomas Cruz15, you think I've got that same rib protrusion you have? 🙂

So, I was out taking a stroll along the coast back in April... and after basically killing myself playing some impromptu game of soccer, I’m feeling kind of like a total idiot for doubting ironwolf52 (my bad, ironwolf52!). Trying to make it up to you guys with some shots...

Alright, here are some fresh shots—minus the ones in those blue shorts, obviously—taken with a slightly better phone this time... I still need to grab a few more from a different angle, though.

Best video players and similar software? in Software ·
Does anyone know of a media player that actually lets you shift subtitle timing on the fly? I’m looking for something that works just like BS Player—you know, where you can just hit CTRL plus the left or right arrow keys to nudge the subtitles forward or back by a second while you're watching the movie. It makes such a huge difference when they're out of sync, and honestly, some modern players make it feel like you need a PhD just to fix a simple lag. If anyone's got a recommendation for a player that isn't a total headache, let me know... thanks!

The quality of these photos sucks, I know... but it’s all I’ve got lying around (honestly, I don't even know what era that third one is from). In that shot, my collarbones weren't sticking out quite as much, and the veins in my arms were a bit less intense... basically, those 7 pounds I lost seemed to spread pretty evenly across my upper body and arms, but my legs? They completely missed the memo. They were skinny back then too—just totally underwhelming. If only the weight had actually gone to my legs, maybe I could have pulled it off... but instead, I look like a total caricature in these pictures, kind of bulky up top with legs like toothpicks. At least now I look a bit more balanced.

And before anyone starts with the whole "you should have worked your legs more" thing... hmmm, I don't know about that... back then, I was absolutely crushing leg workouts (though, let's be real, my diet was probably trash). I was hauling construction materials up floors, lugging around an average of 55 lbs in my hands for like 2 or 3 hours every other day... plus, I was playing soccer once or twice a week for 90 minutes at a time.

So, I’ve already posted and lurked in that "getting rid of the gut" thread, though my main goal here is just to keep this progress logged in its current state... I guess I’m still a little neurotic about my midsection—there's this tiny, annoying layer (maybe like 1mm?) sitting between my skin and the actual abs, so they don't pop quite as hard as I'd like (especially the lower ones)... plus, let's be real, the lighting in this shot isn't exactly doing me any favors either... (currently standing at 6'1"/154lbs)(the right side is me flexing—if you can even call it that, because if this is my flex, God help me when I actually try)

Alright, here's another one from my side...
The angle sucks, I know.😠I actually had a clearer, better shot in this exact same pose earlier, but whatever.😠

Look, you definitely need this.

Here’s the setup—it’s basically the same stuff as the run-config, just laid out differently so you know where to go. Honestly, since I applied these settings, my rig has been running like a dream for eight months straight. No lag, no nonsense.

http://software.toptenreviews.com/ Check it out—another one of those links filled with testing result tables. If you look right in the middle, you’ll see the 'Security & Privacy' section, and from there you can just dive into subcategories like antivirus software or firewalls... and boom, you get the full rankings of the best stuff out there.
Amy Roberts46 said:Alright guys... I need an antivirus and a firewall ASAP that I can just grab online...
what should I get?

Antivirus: You could go with McAfee, or one of those "free" ones like😁 Avast (which is what I was using before I switched to this McAfee nightmare). With Avast, you have to register with your email, then they shoot you a password right away—it’s free, lasts a year, and then you just send them another email when it expires... honestly, it works pretty well, and people rank it as the top free option out there.

Firewall: Check out ZoneAlarm. They’ve got a free version too, and in my experience, it blocks more junk than Symantec or Cisco, both of which I've messed around with before.
Honestly, you really need some solid disk cleaning software in your arsenal. If you aren't careful, all that digital junk piling up just from browsing the web can seriously drag your PC down—it’ll make everything feel sluggish and can even cause those annoying little glitches on your screen.
I’ve played around with CCleaner, and it’s actually pretty decent because it comes packed with extra tools to speed things up, not just the standard deep clean for your registry and hard drive. It’s super straightforward to use, too.
