CAN ANY OF YOU ACTUALLY IMAGINE YOURSELF IN A REAL STREET FIGHT—LIKE, WOULD THAT EVEN CROSS YOUR MIND?!?!?!?!?!?!?! There are plenty of other examples too...

I'm 14 years old and I just started BJJ [Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu]... I've been training actively for about a month now at a local club here, Team Edson Carvalho Arvin Widder.
I really dig the grappling principles; I think it’s a complete system, you know? Like, it’s actually practical stuff you could use in a real-life situation...
What I'm trying to figure out is—I'm standing about 5'6" to 5'8"—and I'm hunting for a blue gi. If anyone could help me out, I mean, I live in a small town where there's zero chance of finding one locally, so does anyone know what it would cost me to order one from overseas? Also, what's the price range, and what do you all think about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
Thanks 🙂

I just believe in calling things by their actual names. Even if it were written in Egyptian hieroglyphics! As it stands now, it feels like the entire world begins and ends with UFC, which—let’s be honest—is just plain false.
The showbiz industry used to worship Bruce Lee; nowadays, they're all about Fedor Emelianenko, Mirko Cro Cop, and Kazushi Sakuraba.
Back in the day, you actually had to go to a theater to catch a show. Now? You just hop on a website or tune into ESPN on a Thursday night at 11 PM.
And there you see these guys, fighting until they're completely spent, sporting the logo of some gambling site tattooed right on their hairless chests... And that's when the lecture on "reality" begins. The official sponsor of reality? McBet sportsbook.
Don't get me wrong.
Regards

It's just—showing how Karate or whatever other garbage works based on a few clips where some BJJ guys are absolutely wrecking them isn't exactly... uh... definitive proof!👍 Everything can be flipped on its head, that's all I'm saying. Take this guy for example:

ruggedfalcon2 said:Every single fight counts as a challenge match if you want to look at it that way, I guess, if it makes you feel better about things 🙄 No, it’s not technically a challenge match, but regardless—Royce absolutely dismantled him according to the textbook... 👍 Matt was basically beating him like a drum 😁
P.S. My point is simply how massive the gap is when you "fight" some random "instructor" versus going up against someone who actually lives and breathes professional combat 😛

I felt compelled to post this... even if it doesn't strictly fit the challenge parameters...
