It looks like things are shifting slightly now that the hostage deadlock broke. Seeing people trekking back on foot through a military zone is pretty heavy to imagine. Do you think this movement is actually going to lead to any long-term stability in the region?
BetMGM has been dragging their feet on me for 10 days now and won't release my big win. I already sent over all my verification docs, and they told me the process takes about 72 hours. Now they’re claiming they sent an email to wrap up the verification, but I haven't seen a single thing in my inbox. My email is working perfectly, so there's definitely nothing from them on my end. Has anyone else dealt with this bullshit, or does anyone have a suggestion on what I should do next?
Kyle Ward said:Speaking from experience, I gotta say that’s just not true. I mostly stick to the NBA (mostly player props, about 90% of my action), plus a little NHL, NFL, and MLB on the side. Right before the NBA playoffs kicked off—after taking a decent hit—I actually had more than the amount you mentioned sitting in my account. And no, they didn't block my account at all. Like I said, there was some limiting on bets under $300, but those VIP bets (anything over $300) still went through just fine.
So, what exactly are you betting on?
Well, if you aren't trying to withdraw, anything goes. You could transfer a million bucks from your own bank account and nobody cares, but once you try to pull out a certain amount that hits their programmed limit? Goodbye, kid. I play almost exclusively live basketball—95% of my stuff, maybe 2% handball or water polo, and the other 3% goes toward NBA player props and EuroLeague. And let me tell you, that "VIP" bet thing is a total scam. Out of 10 bets, 8 times it's been rejected, once it was accepted, and once they cut my payout in half. Once you drop a VIP bet, ten minutes later some genius at Marathon decides if they feel like honoring it or not, and usually, you just get screwed. That's just how it's been for me.
Whoever told you they were cashing out 20k bucks is straight up lying to your face. The absolute max payout is 10 grand, and once you hit that, they’ll just shut your account down and cap your bets at a single dollar. Whether you're betting on horse racing or MMA, if they limit you to $1 per bet, there's zero chance you're ever seeing 20k in your pocket again.
Kyle Ward said:Look, there are limits, sure. But that's for people playing for peanuts. If you want to play big, there are VIP bets. You can drop $300 or more on whatever you want. Just play that way. 😉
Anyway, I wanted to ask about this guy who hasn't been paid yet...
What did they tell you exactly? What's the excuse? Where exactly is the holdup?
These scammers have been lying to my face for a month now. The first time I ever tried to withdraw to my checking account, everything went south. They claim they sent the money, but I'm telling them it's not there. Then they try to act like they'll call the bank to get some ARN number to prove where the cash went, but it’s been two weeks and nothing. I finally lost it, went down to my local Chase branch, and sat down with the manager. I showed her all my paperwork, and after a few days, she tells me straight up: there was never even an attempt to deposit anything into my account. After I told customer service to stop treating me like an idiot, I finally managed to talk them into just putting the money back into my sportsbook account. Now I'm trying to figure out how to actually get it out—I suggested a wire transfer and I'm just waiting to hear back. So yeah, that's the situation. I filed the withdrawal on June 16th, and their supposed turnaround is 3 to 5 days. Honestly, it's pathetic.
There are people online who deal with this stuff all the time, and I’ve actually got the documentation proving they received my withdrawal request and everything else. The money just isn't hitting my account yet. I used to withdraw directly to my Chase account without any issues, but since this amount is so huge, I'm getting nervous. If they don't get this sorted out by mid-August, I'm taking action—period. No more playing nice.
Nicholas Lopez89 said:Funny you mention Marathon, because I actually wanted to ask you something. I've been browsing some forums where people are complaining about Marathon limiting them after just a few winning bets, or even straight-up closing their accounts. Some folks mentioned they're sitting on a balance but still got hit with limits. Personally, I think they might throttle people a bit, but I don't buy the idea that they'd do it after only three bets—especially if the amounts aren't huge. What’s your experience been like?
Look, when it comes to the lines and the odds, they're easily the best out there. But man, they'll limit you fast the second you start pulling cash out. If you win two or three times, they immediately slash your max bet. Even if you're down overall, you can still get restricted. Plus, I've been waiting two months for a payout to my Chase account... honestly, I might have to file a formal complaint at this point. That's my last resort, but they're making me look like an idiot here.
Anyone else having issues getting their cash out from Marathon lately? I've been stuck waiting on a withdrawal to my Chase account for like 15 days now. When I reached out on Friday, they just told me they're checking with my bank to see where the holdup is. Any idea what's going on?
Also, I’ve noticed a lot of people complaining that Marathon hits you with limits way too fast if you aren't constantly cashing out. Your first limit kicks in after you've played through $5,000, and then the next one hits at $10,000. Honestly, that still lets you pull in more than those loudmouthed garbage bookies like DraftKings or Bwin. Those guys blow millions on flashy commercials, but the second someone actually wins a couple hundred bucks, they start acting like it's a huge problem.
Anthony Perez55 said:I tried setting up two more accounts on DraftKings, and they both got flagged before I even made a deposit... clearly their IP tracking software is top-tier...
Anyway, gotta say, I've never seen anything like how fast DraftKings sends cash to PayPal—it’s basically instant, we’re talking literal seconds!!! And that’s for some pretty hefty amounts too.
Even Pinnacle isn't that quick.
You just gotta register under a different name using his computer, then on your end, reset the router, clear your cookies and browser history, and you're golden.
D'Antoni wasn't coaching LA last night, and honestly, the game was a total letdown—just way too many missed shots. Duhon actually played pretty well, though; I have no clue why he isn't getting more minutes lately.
Aldridge vs Bargnani at 1.6 seems like a solid play to me for a few reasons. Bargnani played a heavy 50 minutes in last night's loss to Utah, and he’s staring down a brutal matchup in the West today. I'm expecting a lower scoring game here compared to that Sacramento vs Portland game. Aldridge had what I'd call a rough night yesterday, but considering he's facing Sacramento—and they're playing without a suspended Cousins—it'll be tough for Outlaw to keep him from hitting above his average.
