Yeah, sure, just straight into the trenches. Just like how things went during the last World War. If they try to run, they get a bullet—that’s basically the only training they're gonna get.
1. Hostomel Airfield. This is where the Russians kicked things off with those helicopter assaults. The Ukrainians managed to claw it back by the end of the day, but then the Russians moved back in and took it again the next morning. 2. Vorzel. Combat was happening here today. Pretty sure the Russians have seized control of this area now. 3. That spot from yesterday where a tank crushed a car—it was a Russian saboteur turned into a Ukrainian soldier. His crew actually hijacked the tank before they were neutralized. 4. The bridge the Ukrainians blew up yesterday to stop the Russians from crossing the Dnieper. 5. Where the Russian night raid ended today. Left behind several destroyed tanks and vehicles, plus heavy Russian casualties. 6. Where the old man is digging his trench. 7. Just a bit south, you've got Vasilyevsky Airfield and the nearby town. The Russians tried an airborne assault to take control, but they got stopped and wiped out. The local mayor confirmed it.
If Kyiv falls, nobody’s going to give a damn about whether Zelenskyy fixed his stage presence or whatever.
I still can't wrap my head around how unprepared they were, though I guess at least they weren't steamrolled in forty-eight hours like all those pundits predicted back when everything was kicking off.
boldjackal70 said:EDIT: for Paul Kern12 It might be easier for you to wrap your head around this once you realize I’ve been a woman on this forum for ten years now.
The Forumas has been given some time to reflect, and honestly, I think that's exactly what's happening right now.
With all due respect to you as a woman and a moderator, you're reading something into that post that absolutely nobody else sees, no matter how hard they try. I don't usually make a habit of weighing in on stuff like this—I've had my fair share of controversial takes—but this one from you... maybe you should take a little time to think things over too?
Morgan Ruiz3 said:There is, actually—a two-thirds majority in Congress, followed by a decision from the US executive branch. So, it’s basically just "my wishes and my dreams." Replacing a Prime Minister is much easier, and given how much damage this person has caused to the United States over the years, look at the mess we're in.
And I will say it again: you are debating an article from 2014 just two months before the actual elections.
It’s like they don't get it... you're basically shouting into a void trying to talk sense to that crowd.
on topic:
It wouldn't be ideal if things started getting out of sync between Zoki and the rest of his circle during the meeting. That opportunistic coalition would jump at the chance to exploit any friction. ☕
Anyway, this whole reserve mobilization thing happening over in California that's being mentioned? It’d be pretty shocking if it wasn't just some total hoax.
Setting up some kind of camp on some frozen wasteland while one guy just sits there maximizing nothing. We're talking power, restrooms, surveillance, parking... you could take over the space under the bleachers, the track, or just clear out everything around the stadium if you felt like it. The migrants would get a little downtime to relax, and the LA Rams would finally have some actual people in the stands. A total win-win... ☕
If I’m actually following the logic being thrown around on this forum, the theory is that Obama is hitting Germany with a massive wave of migrants, while Merkel refuses to push back against them—she's basically rolling out the red carpet instead. She’s an old lady, we’ve known that for a while, and since she’s such a proven ally of Putin, does that mean Obama, the old lady, and Putin are all playing for the same team? Some kind of twisted logic there...
It’s basically impossible to have a conversation about the Visegrad Group right now without tripping over Zoran Milanović, Ranko Ostojić, Vesna Pusić, and the whole mess surrounding the 2015 election... If nothing else, they seem to drag themselves back into that context every single day just by what they say and do.
