Enough of this crap. One doctor told me it was 1 mm, then my specialist claimed there was no perforation at all. He told me I could go swimming without a worry, but after I insisted he take another look, he suddenly found a 4mm perforation and said there’s zero chance it heals on its own. It’s been 2 months and nothing has changed. 😢I even went to see a doctor in Chicago who suggested it might heal spontaneously if I just waited six months. As for the surgery itself, it feels like a total scam. I have no idea who actually performed the initial procedure, and whenever I ask for info, everyone just gives me copy-paste answers from internet forums. My eardrum popped once before, but it healed perfectly within two months. This time? No luck. 😢..
That's why I'm asking: does anyone know if there are any alternatives to surgery? Or does anyone know someone who's actually gone through it and can share their experience? Going under the knife isn't exactly a walk in the park, especially when people are constantly second-guessing each other's heads. Damn.
Thanks for the straight answer. I’ve been digging around online, but it’s like this is some forbidden topic—nobody seems to have actual experience with this surgery. It’s been a month now and nothing is improving. I saw a private ENT specialist who told me a 4mm hole won't just close up on its own, but then another specialist said it could. Then a doctor told me it might heal itself and there's no need to worry, and so on and so forth. Nobody actually knows anything concrete.
It's honestly unbelievable to me that there isn't anything out there to speed up the process or jumpstart the healing.
As for the surgery itself, I don't know a single person who has gone through it. I've checked both local and international forums, but unfortunately, there's zero commentary on such a massive undertaking.
Look, there’s gotta be something out there to help a tumor heal faster. Most doctors don't actually know anything beyond what they find on Google. If anyone here has actually gone through surgery for this, I'd appreciate it if you could walk me through how the whole process works.
Paul brought me a nice little diary right when I was thinking about betting on Germany. I figured I’d listen to the experts and put it on Spain instead.. but honestly $33 😁 who knows? I’m asking you math nerds to calculate the probability of Paul's predictions being right.. thanks. obviously rel, 😁
Hey legend, you're everywhere 🙂. Honestly, my biggest headache right now is just keeping water out of my ear. I can forget about diving altogether because of the pressure issues. I have no clue if those earplugs actually help much since I can barely even get them in my head anyway.
I'm wondering if there’s anything that can speed up the healing process. I was even looking into homeopathy until I stumbled upon your posts on the subject 😁.
The worst part is I have to work at the beach as a DJ—just ocean noise plus constant racket for peanuts. It's a crappy situation, but the kicker is that I can't hear any low frequencies in my left ear. It feels totally hollow, just a weird, empty sensation in my head.
Hey everyone, I need some advice if anyone here knows what they're talking about.
Basically, I took a hit to my left ear and ruptured my eardrum. The doctor says there's a hole about 1mm wide. My hearing is muffled, and I can't pick up bass or those deep tones at all. It’s a disgusting feeling. This actually happened once before five years ago, but the drum healed on its own back then. I even went for hearing tests which came out okay, even though my left side was weaker. The drum healed completely and worked fine until now.
Questions:
* Can an eardrum heal normally again, or is it harder since this is the second time? * Are there any supplements or meds that help speed up the healing process? * Roughly how long does this take? I have a trip to Florida coming up and I don't want it ruined.😢 * If it doesn't heal, has anyone dealt with surgery? How's the sound quality afterward? I happen to be a DJ, so this is pretty bad news for me..
Thanks for any input. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go bang my head against a wall.😢

It’s like watching a movie about Black kids in a Brooklyn ghetto where the actors speak with perfect British accents and pronounce every word exactly like the Merriam-Webster.
One of the few bright spots in acting was Metastasis, which would have been even better if the actors hadn't overacted so much. Don't even waste my time talking about soap operas. They're clearly aiming for that audience that sits through whatever garbage is airing on NBC at 8:00 PM, whether it's some cheap drama or a cheesy sitcom.
You're right, but there's an issue—when they try to do trash talk or street slang, they still sound like they're performing in a theater. Street talk with perfect diction? 😁And once they start overacting, I'm out. :)

Anyway, I've heard those same praises, but it's pathetic how people who don't know anything about this stuff rave about him—I fell for it too. Honestly, he's one of the biggest idiots in the USA and the world, just like you said. I went to see him for lower back pain, and he messed up my neck so badly that it hurts more than my lower back now. Now I have to go get therapy for my neck too..
Here’s his little procedure:
He looks at an X-ray for like 0.00005 ms—how does he even know anything? He snaps you into place within a minute. Then he says, "That's it, you're healthy," and when I tell him it still hurts, he asks me, "Can you do a cartwheel? If yes, then you're fine. See ya." A nurse comes in, takes your $67 and kicks you out because there's a whole flock of sheep waiting to be sheared..
I want to know if I could actually sue him since I have before and after photos from his treatment.
why most American actors—especially the ones with prestigious degrees—act like they couldn't care less when they're in movies or soap operas... they constantly use these weird, forced accents and pronunciations like they’re stuck in a theater production, and their biggest hero is Ernest Hemingway. It’s bizarre because half of these people are incredible on stage, but once they step in front of a camera, it’s a total disaster! If I were the director, I’d be losing my mind dealing with them. To make matters worse, half of these actors act so high-and-mighty, behaving like they're massive Hollywood A-listers when they really aren't.
I just don't get why it's like this. Or maybe I'm just seeing things (hopefully).
Thanks for the input 🙂 .. My doctor is still insisting my levels are fine and that I’m just overthinking things (classic) Anyway, I just had my thyroid checked and now I have to wait about a month for the results. Regarding the fever, it’s interesting because I didn't have any issues for almost a month after finishing my antibiotics. So, maybe it's a lingering bacterial thing or some kind of chronic inflammation Also, I've got gum issues—receding pockets that get pretty inflamed quite often.
It's weird, whenever I feel that ringing in my head and a bit of disorientation, I know immediately that I've run a fever, and it always turns out to be true. ;( Other symptoms include this strange itching all over my skin, plus some back pain..
I read somewhere that Candida could be a possible cause, and as for the thyroid, here are my initial results..
TSH 2.90 / INT REF 0.63 - 4.19 T4 57.0 / INT REF 58.1 - 140.6 T3 1.4 / INT REF 0.9 - 2.8
Yeah, that's the issue. These symptoms make it hard to stay active, mostly because I'm constantly wiped out and feeling totally out of it.
Anyway, I stay moving every single day. I hit the trails for hiking three times a week for two hours at a time. Plus, I'm in the gym doing weights and stretching three times a week, so I don't think it's a lack of activity...
Could this be caused by something like a fungal infection or something? I saw some people talking about that on an alternative health site.
Hey everyone, I've been dealing with these symptoms for about 3 months now. After my doctor dismissed me as just being a hypochondriac, I went looking for a second opinion. One doctor suggested antibiotics, which worked for a month, but then everything came crashing back. My thyroid is acting up a bit too—not quite out of range, but close. I can send over the lab results if needed. As for my heart, I get occasional arrhythmias, which seems normal for me whenever I run a fever or feel like I’ve smoked a pack of cigarettes..
I found a post online where someone had the exact same issues, so I'm pasting it here..
I'm 26. I'm 6'1" and weigh 250 lbs. I stopped playing sports regularly when I was 21, and since then, I've put on about 55 lbs. I don't smoke. I rarely drink alcohol (maybe 1-2 glasses of wine a week). I eat healthy—minimal animal fats, low carb, no refined sugar, no pork or fried food, plenty of fish, fruit, and veggies—but I tend to overeat because it's an old habit from my athlete days. My job is pretty high-stress, and I pour a lot of energy into it. It involves about 10-12 hours of screen time daily. Until a month ago, I had zero health issues. Then, suddenly, I started feeling dizzy—specifically this intense weakness and fatigue, along with brain fog and a dull headache (feels like a tight cap on my head). Given my family history (my dad died of a heart attack at 49, and there's a history of hypertension and strokes), this weakness triggered some serious panic attacks. I saw my doctor, who sent me to the ER. After testing (BP was 130/70, EKG and Brain CT were clear), the only issue found was a slightly elevated white blood cell count. Combined with a temperature of 98.7°F, the doctor thought it might just be a minor viral infection. Since I actually did come down with what felt like a virus—low fever, sore throat, coughing—for a week, I assumed that was the cause and didn't do anything about it. But even after the "virus" cleared up, that initial exhaustion, dizziness, and fatigue stuck around. When I realized that, I went back to the doctor for more blood work. At that visit, my blood pressure spiked to 155/90. The doctor blamed stress and my panic, but told me to keep monitoring it. The blood work was normal except for slightly elevated AST, ALT, and GGT levels, which led the doctor to suspect mononucleosis, so he referred me to infectious disease. There, they said mono was "unlikely" based on new labs and sent me for more blood tests in two days. The new results showed even higher AST (45H), ALT (146H), and GGT (72H), so I was sent right back to infectious disease to test for mono and Hepatitis A, B, and C. I also got a referral to a neurologist because of the constant fatigue and lack of focus. Over the last 10 days, I've tracked my BP frequently: 1. Waking up 7-8am: 140-145/ 85-90/ 80bpm 2. Morning 8am-12pm: 130-140/ 80-85/ 75bpm 3. Afternoon 12pm-8pm: 120-130/ 75-85/ 70bpm 4. Evening 8pm-midnight: 130-150/ 85-95/ 65bpm 5. High stress periods: 150-155/ 90-95/ 80-85bpm 6. Post-physical activity (climbing 5 flights of stairs): 160/70/ 100-110/ 120bpm. Because of my age and weight, the doctor's takeaway is that it's likely high blood pressure, but not severe enough to treat alongside the other issues yet. I agree with that conclusion, but I'm still worried about this constant "tiredness" and the brain fog, which makes living a normal life really difficult. I'm also worried about potential cardiovascular issues, especially after reading a study linking elevated AST/ALT and BMI to potential heart failure. That's why I'm reaching out for a "second opinion" to see if there's anything my doctor might have overlooked. I should also mention that lately, I've had a stiff neck and back, plus pain in my left shoulder. Up until now, I figured it was just my job (sitting at a computer all day), but now it's bothering me. Specifically, the left shoulder pain usually hits toward the end of the workday along with the fatigue, and it typically vanishes the moment I lie down or change to a semi-reclined position.
Anyone got advice on how to deal with this crap? Thanks.
Just dusting this thread off to see if anyone actually has some answers here.. 1) If I have a band and I want my songs played at a wedding, I’m an artist—I don't care about collecting copyright royalties, I just want people to enjoy the music. So why does someone still have to pay ASCAP for that?? 2) If some foreign artist realizes what a joke of a country this is and just hands over a thousand of their tracks for free, why am I STILL stuck paying ASCAP for copyright?? For whose benefit even.. 3) There are tons of bands in America that deserve to be played in clubs and on the radio because they're actually good, but they don't have connections with the big shots or the rest of that mafia. So when we want to listen to them, why are we still paying ASCAP for guys like some industry mobster who runs the whole scene in the US..
4) If ASCAP is out there paying artists, where the hell is the money coming from for those retarded commercials that play on the radio non-stop!?

They use them when they suspect autoimmune or rheumatic issues. On their own, they don't mean much. You have to look at them alongside your actual clinical symptoms.
Ah, I get you. Mine came back weakly positive. If it actually helps, I can give you my other clinical results too.
I installed Windows 7 and everything was running smooth as silk. Then one day, I step away for a bathroom break, come back, and the whole thing is wiped. Just a bare-bones Windows install. Every single program is gone, all my photos are gone—everything except File Explorer and a few basic system tools. Everything I worked on just vanished into thin air. I have no clue how or why this happened. When I tried to run a recovery, it told me the trial had expired, so I re-entered my serial key, but still nothing. It’s just a naked Windows 7 install again. Any idea what could cause this? Help please.. Anyway, I just tried reinstalling the CS3 suite and it won't even launch. Before this mess, I could see it in "Add/Remove Programs" to uninstall it, but now when I try, absolutely nothing happens.😕
shadowtiger said:If any of you have actually reached that state—and if you have, please, tell me how. Was it through specific techniques or more of a psychological deep dive? What’s the most effective path? For me, it happened by pure accident; I wasn't even looking for it, let alone chasing it. I was just listening to some psychology programs on NPR—I couldn't make heads or tails of them at first, mind you. They weren't even talking about "enlightenment" per se, just working through our emotions. One day, I decided to record one of these shows because the MLS kickoff was starting right then, and when I played it back... well, everything clicked. Suddenly, I was plunged into that thoughtless, emotionless state. It feels incredible—this sense of pure joy, a feeling of immense expansiveness, you know? But listen, staying there requires discipline and real effort. If you don't put in the work, you just slide right back into your old patterns. And frankly, you can see it happening to me right now—my takes on politics are becoming totally immature again.
It was through this program that I hit that state
Here are the recordings from those shows

Can you please provide a different link? This site is crawling with viruses and spam. I just realized how many damn sites out there exist that just wreck your computer. Just give me the name of the show and I'll hunt it down via torrent or YouTube... if it's even on there.
Look, an Academy should be a great thing—a place where you actually gain some real knowledge and all that. But here’s the deal: in the last ten years of American cinema, I haven't seen one decent performance, script, direction, or lighting setup. Every single one looks like total trash, yet the media promotes them like they're Hollywood blockbusters winning Academy Awards and whatnot. It's a joke. If money is the issue, then I don't get how other countries are putting out better films than us. In our movies, everyone just leans on that one specific archetype—actors who sound like they're stuck in a theater production, acting all "cultured" and polished. Something is rotten. And if the only directors getting work are the ones from the Academy, then the rot starts there. By the way, everyone knows how many directors get into the Academy through connections. Even the talented ones who don't have those ties can't land a project once they graduate unless they have someone pulling strings. That's just how it is.
Look, capitalism is simple. If I’m the producer and I need an actor who actually moves tickets, I’m picking the guy who sells out theaters over some guy with a fancy degree every single time. Same goes for directors. I’d rather hire some random guy who can actually turn a profit than pay a massive premium for an Academy grad just to make some "artistic" crap that thirty people watch while pretending to be impressed. There's no deep philosophy here. If you want to make money, you follow a proven formula. You make the kind of movies you mentioned—solid casts, maybe ten percent exceptions like you said. But if someone wants to make "art," they aren't making a dime. Plus, without that degree, nobody even gives them a look. Just make a good movie that appeals to the masses. That’s the only way to win. At the end of the day, a movie is a product plus marketing plus a little bit of art. Honestly, I can't remember a single decent movie made by an American director since the 90s. Most of what stood out felt like B-list Hollywood productions. So, maybe the idea that degrees make films better holds water somewhere else, but not here. Something smells fishy because, let's be real, those movies are garbage. If they were made in America, nobody would watch them either. We only tune in to these local ones to see if a miracle might actually happen.
