My real concern, though—and this is what keeps me up—is whether they pose any risk to the baby if I am indeed immune. Specifically, if I've already had it, is there any danger in being in contact with someone suffering from chickenpox while I'm pregnant?

Honestly, I couldn't agree more with everything stated here... I've been dealing with this for years now. Things settled down quite a bit after I had my baby, but once I went back into the ocean last year—just a normal summer swim—everything came rushing back. It’s been exhausting. I've seen every specialist under the sun, and according to them, everything is "perfectly fine." I even ended up having a laparoscopy just to be sure, which apparently confirmed that there’s nothing physically wrong with me. So, here I am. It’s certainly not a given that infertility has to kick in after such a short window—really, it isn't. I know quite a few couples who spent an entire year trying without any major hurdles at all, and then, just like that, they finally succeeded. In fact, we're actually waiting on a baby from a couple just like them right now!

So, I actually put in some actual legwork here and dug through the data—and look, I found this one specific instance from 1997 where an HIV transmission was recorded via kissing. They had been together for a long time and practiced safe sex, so you can't exactly rule out a faulty condom or perhaps some oral contact... which means that whole narrative doesn't entirely hold water if you think about it.
