It’s kind of ridiculous when you think about it. You’ve got all of Oceania playing in the World Cup—all five teams, probably basically everyone that exists there. Meanwhile, Europe only gets maybe seven spots out of 40 or 50 total teams, especially since five of those are reserved for the big five nations.
I caught the Germany vs. USA match on ESPN back when we were playing in those qualifiers, and I remember us beating them on their own turf. Maybe we can pull off another win, though I guess our chances of making the World Cup are basically zero.😢
I’m asking the mods to change the title to "cycling 2006". 🙂 The season is already in full swing. Milan-Sanremo happened ages ago, featuring that brilliant solo move by Pozzat in the final kilometer. Then yesterday we saw a phenomenal win by Fabian Cancellara at Paris-Roubaix. It was honestly intense to watch; those guys are basically gladiators on two wheels. 🙏 🙏 The heavy favorite, Tom Boonen, just wasn't in the shape everyone expected. To make matters worse, the three riders who finished right behind him—Hoste, van Petegem, and Gusev—were all disqualified because they went through a closed section of the road right when a train was passing. I guess you have to hand it to the organizers for their impeccable timing. 😂
What a joke. It used to be that once the final round hit, the season was over, period. Now? You can't even tell when the league actually ends or what you're even playing for anymore.
There aren't enough Black people here for racism to even really take root, which means there isn't anyone to direct it toward. So, I guess everything is fine. 😁

The darkness would swallow you up for much less than that. 😁

I'll download it again later. I was just trying to say the Italians loved him. Not because of what he did to the ref in Sheffield (though that was a bit of simulation 😉 ), but more because he was always on TV, praising English football, them praising him, stuff like that. 😁 Then there was that move against Everton where he didn't score on purpose. I guess he wasn't exactly an angel, but from an Italian perspective, the whole thing looked pretty different.
I honestly find it strange how you let her turn one of the country's biggest football icons—who was basically the definition of fair play back when he played in England and was huge there—into such an embarrassment.
Heras lost his win at last year's Vuelta due to doping, so Denis Menchov from Rabobank was moved up to first place.
Vladimir Miholjević is riding both the giro and the tour this year. 👍 He’ll be riding as a support for di Luca during the giro, and for the tour, everything depends on how Garzelli performs—there might be an opportunity for him to ride a bit more "freely." Forza Miha! 🙏 🙏
They’ve got massive mineral wealth, yet they deal with an incredibly low number of coups compared to most other African countries. I guess that's just how it goes. 😬

Man, the drama surrounding these teams is wild. I mean, seriously, just thirty minutes before a match against Togo, the President of Dr. Congo was apparently calling them to beg them to stop whining about their bonuses and just actually play. 🤣
