Honestly, cantaloupe and honeydew are hands down the grossest things ever grown in a garden! :P

Leek lasagna—honestly, the best thing ever. And fried catfish? Absolute perfection!
But I can't stand tomatoes... I seriously can't eat them, whether it's salsa, ketchup, or anything else... ugh!
Man, he looks straight-up like a security guard. When I first saw him in that undershirt, I honestly thought he was the first Black guy from the South I'd ever met... but his beard wasn't even thick enough to pass the test.

Eric Clapton...
So, what did he end up doing with the rim? Did he cut down that tree? 😁
Yeah, I don't even bother with those guys anymore. Honestly, ladies, stop crying about it. They sold me a scratched-up CD at the factory once—total joke. They better give me a replacement this time! Amateurs!

Man, I’d love to hear Layton cover Xiu Xiu.
Man, I’m seriously bummed I didn't get to do that back in my high school days... damn!
But hey, at least there won't be too many girls hanging around now that Still has left 😉

Mr. Wrong said:No way. Concert hype always follows the same three steps: 1) the buildup and anticipation, 2) the post-show reviews, and 3) just pointless chatter. 🙂

Fine, but then we can't have Jack Houdek either 🙂
I've already got enough bacon on me; I don't need him too.

Whoa, this totally veered off into off-topic territory... should I just lock the thread? I really don't want people bringing up names like Zak Houdek in here... :P

The Jeff Parker Trio was absolutely trippy... I can't stand all that aimless noodling, honestly. But there were a few killer moments in there, and chad Taylor is hands down the best drummer I've ever had the privilege of seeing live... pure genius, period!

Harvey F on drums, and
Bob Ross on bass and synth
now that would be a hit!

I'm not even sure I could pull off the drums... hmm... :P

To me, argument is easily Fugazi's best album. Maybe that's heresy, but I mean it.

Who exactly is offering us democracy here?! 🙂

All five of them, my dear Kenneth Clark7. Just watch out though—that "Kill All Hippies" shirt from Primal Scream is still my absolute favorite 😉

So, I'm finally gonna dive into American Beauty—never actually listened to it before. Glad we're on the same page. Yippee!

boldscout72 said:It’s not a Rolls Royce for the Dead; it's for those hippies who think their music was birthed in some sterile, vacuum-sealed lab while they were sipping soy milk and eating vegan snacks in a cafeteria. At the end of the day, Grateful Dead is just country music, but hey, too many trips and too much nonsense. [IMAGE REMOVED]

I guess this one hits home for me, since I'm definitely a hippie.
I don't actually think indie music was cooked up in some sterile, airtight environment or that it represents some grand revolution. That’s just not true. I know pop history inside and out, and I’d be a complete moron to claim otherwise. I love the classics. I love Bob Dylan. I absolutely adore Pentangle—like, seriously, I love them. *Revolver*, *VU & NICO*, and *Pet Sounds* are easily in my top 20 albums of all time. Brian Eno is hands down one of the top five producers ever. And so on. Honestly... it doesn't matter what kind of music it is, when it was made, or who listens to it. All that matters is whether you dig it or not. Well, personally? I don't dig the Grateful Dead. In fact, I hate them. From the bottom of my heart. It doesn't matter that they influenced a ton of awesome bands; I still can't stand them. I'm not trying to discredit their influence or downplay how big they are, I just want to say that to me personally, they are absolute garbage, and I get a headache every time I hear them (it's even worse with the Stones or Maiden).
I think this personal take on music is the only one worth having. No academic stuff, nothing politically correct. I care about passion and emotion, and that's the only level I'll discuss anything on (even if talking at that level makes no sense beyond just rambling). So yeah.
no hard feelings, my dear boldscout72 🙂
