Honestly, it isn’t even about the fact that I missed the payment—it’s more the way this random cashier felt the need to rub it in my face. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against retail workers, but who does he think he is, acting all condescending like that?! If they actually run short on cash, they can just send me a notice in the mail and be done with it. But that attitude... it was just unnecessary. And to top it all off, I even dragged myself out of bed earlier just to check the door because I thought the mail carrier might be dropping something off.
I had a run-in today with the guy from the sanitation department—the one who handles our waste collection fees—and honestly, he just completely rubbed me the wrong way. He showed up, and when I told him straight out that things are tight right now and asked if he could just leave the bill, he gave me this patronizing little smirk. He actually had the nerve to imply, almost mockingly, that this was already the fourth unpaid bill we’ve had. Honestly, he can go jump in a lake—who does he think he is, some high-stakes debt collector? I’ll pay when I actually have the money. If I had it sitting around, I wouldn't be behind in the first place.
I felt absolutely terrible afterward—just completely small, like I had committed some sort of massive felony or something. But really, who is he to rub my nose in it? As if struggling to make ends meet isn't hard enough without someone coming around to lecture me about it.

I’ve always been pretty diligent about clearing my cookies—it's just a habit, I suppose. But lately, I’ve actually gone ahead and adjusted my settings so the browser automatically wipes them every single time I close out of the window.
Thanks so much for the help!

So, I ended up doing things my own way—when I was logging in, I went ahead and clicked the "remember me" box. The issue is that now I can't seem to log out properly. Every time I try to sign out and then head back over to the forum, I find myself already logged in, which is definitely not what I was aiming for. My computer is actually set up specifically so it doesn't save any passwords, but even after a full restart, when I come back to the site, I'm still logged in.
Ashley Price57 said:My dad is constantly lecturing me about my portions. My mom is doing the exact same thing. Honestly, it’s getting so repetitive that I can practically predict it the second they open their mouths. Then, my husband comes home around 10 p.m. and hands me a slice of cake 😬 And I’m just like, "Oh, you don't want me eating this!" But then the guilt hits me hard. Every single bite feels like a chore because I start questioning if I should even be having it. What’s most frustrating is that I’m eating normally, so I don't get what all the fuss is about. I mean, for heaven's sake, I'm pregnant—it's impossible not to put on a few pounds! I know they mean well, but in those moments when they harp on me, I feel like an elephant. Then I'll open my closet, catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and just burst into tears. They keep telling me how difficult labor is for larger women, or how hard it will be to lose the weight later—all the stuff I already know, which is exactly why I'm supposed to WATCH what and how much I eat.. Ugh 😢

Most people know by now that I'm expecting. And they won't stop staring at my belly, judging me. It's like they're constantly measuring me with their eyes. No matter who I'm talking to or what the topic is, their gaze just drifts to my stomach like I'm under a microscope. I find myself wondering, "Did I really get too big? Is that why everyone is commenting on it?" 😬 I'm becoming obsessed. I honestly can't wait until I've fully rounded out so I can just shove it right in their faces and let them stare all they want.

Last night, my husband told me he was going to kill himself! 😬 He said it in such a sweet, gentle tone that we actually ended up laughing.. 😬 He said that after I had spent half an hour venting, screaming, crying, throwing things, and nearly breaking everything in the dishwasher. Once I finally curled up and sat down next to him, he whispered it while holding me. So romantic 😍

It’s actually quite comforting to see that I'm not the only one dealing with mood swings. Then my friend tells me... "Just wait until the baby is born, that's when the real storm hits!!!!" 😂 😬

The only real advice I can offer you—and I think even Merry would agree—is to just pretend you don't hear them. Once they realize their little comments aren't getting under your skin, they'll eventually stop.
I have to say, though, that last sentence really gets under my skin—I absolutely loathe it. It’s as if they're implying I'm going to give birth to some kind of monster rather than a beautiful baby.
Mary, I see we’re both in the same boat with our pregnancies—it doesn't seem too early at all to start browsing and picking up baby essentials. Let people say whatever they want; honestly, I think the best way to handle it is just to let it go in one ear and out the other. I find it so much easier when I can stick to that mindset, though, I'll admit, I don't always succeed at it.
And my name is actually quite lovely.

I bet you're just about ready to start a whole new thread on the parenting forums titled "What drives you crazy now that you're a parent?"

🤣🤣

Personally, my height is what gets to me—I'm just too short. 🙂
I suppose if I were taller, I’d probably have a bit more room in my midsection, and maybe my organs wouldn't feel so squished all the time. 🤣

Anyway, let's try to keep this on topic. 😁

I have a feeling we might have already covered this topic somewhere else in the thread—I think there’s probably an existing discussion on this exact subject if I recall correctly. 😁
I’m honestly just getting on my own nerves at the moment—I’m exhausted, I haven't slept nearly enough, and I’ve got this nagging headache that just won't quit. To make matters worse, I couldn't even manage to squeeze in a nap this afternoon, so now I'm sitting here struggling to even keep my eyes open.
cosmicfox8, I don't really see it as an issue—if I end up having to nag him to get things done, then he'll do them. But honestly? I’d much rather he just realizes on his own that he needs to step up and help out. And if I happen to have a little boy one day, I'll just make sure to teach him everything his father never quite picked up. 🙂
Ashley Price57 said:Hahahaha, before pregnancy, they just claim we’re being moody because of PMS, and now it’s because of the pregnancy—but nope, it’s never actually about anything they said or did! 😂

Michael Barrett11 said:get to know my boyfriend
he can clearly see I'm struggling with the cleaning and that my stomach is killing me, but instead of actually offering to lend a hand
he just tells me there's no rush and that I should just take my time

Ashley Price57 said:And just when you’ve nearly finished everything, he comes flying in like he just landed from Mars and asks, "Hey, maybe I could lend a hand with something?" 😂

I couldn't agree more—you have my full support on all of this!
It’s honestly so frustrating dealing with my husband—he’s insisting that my meltdown this morning was just some hormonal imbalance, when in reality, he’s the one who actually caused the whole thing!
It’s honestly been weighing on me a bit—my stomach seems to have puffed up out of nowhere, and since it’s still way too early for me to actually feel any movement from the baby yet, I can't help but worry...
Yesterday, I honestly just lost it—I was screaming and crying because I have someone exactly like this living under my roof. He spent a solid thirty minutes in the shower, and then took *another* twenty minutes just shaving his head. As if there were some kind of emergency! (By the way, we were actually running late for a meeting.) While he was taking his sweet time, I was rushing around trying to get the dishes done. I think I mentioned at least fifty times that my back was killing me and that I really needed a hand. But no, he just sat down to play video games. I kept asking for help until I eventually reached my breaking point and started sobbing, and even then, he just stood there next to me. In the end, I basically kicked him out to go to Target, because what good is he now that I’m already completely exhausted?
When I ask him if he feels bad seeing me struggle like this, he just shrugs and tells me I should probably just leave the dishes for later. But he has never—and I mean *never*—said, "Hey, just leave them, I'll take care of it." Instead, it's always, "Just rest, you can do it later." I really can't help but blame his mother for this; she clearly raised him to believe that everything should be done for him.
copperjackal49, I really think you should try to tune out the noise from people who don't actually have anything meaningful to contribute to the conversation.

If you take way too long while drafting a post, the forum might automatically log you out. It’s likely set to a pretty short session timeout—maybe something like five minutes—so if you spend a long time typing away, you'll get kicked off.

But honestly, it feels like we're talking about a matter of seconds here, not minutes. To give you a specific example—I logged in right when I started reading this post on the previous page, clicked multi-quote (since I wasn't sure if I'd be quoting anyone else yet), flipped over to the next page, and suddenly I was forced to log in all over again.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up for me—I’ll definitely be more mindful of that next time, since I honestly can't quite remember how my computer keyboard was acting during that last session.

This used to happen to me whenever I was typing on my laptop—though, I suppose, it might have been on my desktop too, I can't be entirely certain. I wonder, is there some kind of quirk or setting on a laptop that causes this kind of letter jumbling?

Kevin Garcia70, I’ve definitely had those moments too—where my typing just goes haywire and starts scrambling letters mid-sentence, or suddenly jumps the cursor right back to the middle of whatever I was writing. It’s incredibly frustrating when you're in the flow. Luckily, everything seems to be behaving itself now, so I guess it's finally sorted out.

I still maintain that those two things shouldn't be linked at all. If everything else—other websites, various forums, and so on—is working perfectly fine with just a single login, then I don't see any logical reason why this forum wouldn't work the same way, especially if it used to function properly in the past.
Oh, yeah, people have asked me the exact same thing—what am I going to do about the dogs. And honestly, what am I supposed to do? We’ll just get them used to the baby, and that’ll be that—it's a two-way street where the little one will have to learn to live with them, too. Besides, I truly believe it’s healthier for a child to grow up around dogs. My husband and I didn't even give it a second thought, really.
wanderinghawk said:Just you wait! 😲 😲 😲

As if we’re somehow getting some tiny little monster or whatever... If I said the baby is going to sleep in their own crib from day one, then that’s exactly what’s happening. It’s not like: "Oh, just wait until they're sleeping in your bed after two days!" Those kinds of comments drive me insane 😵😵😵

identically !!!
Though, I suppose that first line—"You'll see!"—can apply to all sorts of things too, like sleeping arrangements, going out on the town, money, and so on.
