I’m not entirely sure—I might have misheard her—but I think my older neighbor actually shouted at me today: "Hey, fatty, you feeling hot?" I mean, seriously?! Even back when I was carrying a few more pounds, nobody ever had the nerve to call me fat!
Now, this headache is just driving me crazy. It woke me up about an hour and a half ago, and I haven't been able to get back to sleep since... it's just constant. I took my last pill last night, so now I'm debating whether I should head out to a 24-hour pharmacy to grab some Lupocet or if I should just try to tough it out until morning.

Well, here I am again. Even after following all the advice I was given, I'm still running into this glitch every once in a while. Basically, after I enter my username and password and check the box to stay logged in, absolutely nothing happens—it just kicks me right back to the page I was already on without actually logging me in. It isn't a huge deal, since I can just log in manually a second time, but I wanted to mention that the remember me option doesn't seem to be working consistently.
Lately, my lower back and glutes have been absolutely killing me—it’s getting to the point where every two or three days the pain hits so hard that my left leg just gives out on me. It’s honestly exhausting. I end up practically forcing my husband to give me a massage, and then I’ll just spend the whole day lying around trying to recover, but as soon as I get back to my usual routine—standing for most of the day and juggling a million different tasks—the pain just shoots right back in. It feels like this endless, frustrating cycle that I can't seem to break.
It’s honestly a bit frustrating when I can't track down the exact thread I’m looking for. I don't even recall the specific title—I just know it was posted here at some point—but it was that helpful guide about pregnancy milestones, you know? The one that breaks down which week corresponds to which month of the pregnancy... I was sure it was right in front of me, but I just couldn't find it.

Edit: Well, wouldn't you know it... the second I hit submit on this post, it popped right up in my view.
I have to admit, I’m feeling a bit frustrated because my colostrum has started leaking—it’s been happening for a few weeks now, but lately, it feels like it's ramping up. Even if I just apply a little pressure to my breast, it starts trickling out. It’s actually reached the point where I’ve had to tell my husband not to touch my breasts during sex; I guess it just doesn't feel sexy at all to have milk leaking while we're trying to be intimate.
Ronald Williams9 said:My husband is driving me absolutely insane today. Our daughter refuses to eat a single bite. Apparently, because she’s turning her nose up at my cooking, it must be "bad"—as if I’m some amateur. It's funny how she clears her plate every single time she's at his mother's house, though.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I am about to lose my mind.

Does he honestly not realize that saying something like that to his wife is a total non-starter?
Well, I think my father-in-law might have gotten a little too brave after a few drinks—he actually looked at me and said, Hey there, gorgeous! Honestly, all I wanted to do was fire back with a quick, Hey there, drunkard! But, I suppose I decided to hold my tongue instead. 😁
My mother-in-law really got under my skin today when we brought up what our kid's last name would be. Her whole argument was that it would cause unnecessary confusion and leave the child feeling lost. Honestly, give me a break—I have no intention of raising a confused little kid just because we didn't stick to some outdated tradition. We know what we want, and we're sticking to it.
I mean, look at my neighbor’s three-year-old—that kid is practically a tiny sociologist. Even at three, they already seem to grasp how surnames shift through marriage and why people choose certain names over others. It's not as complicated as the older generation makes it out to be.

I baked a batch this past Saturday, and I brought a few over to my mom's yesterday. There were maybe two or three left, and I’ve been looking forward to finally sitting down and enjoying them myself, but they're gone. Just completely vanished. 🙂
I guess now I have no choice but to eat ice cream instead. 😢

I feel your pain. Honestly, I know that specific sting when someone eats the very last piece of something you've been looking forward to all day.
slybadger99 said:Back home in my hometown, the local DMV clearly states in big letters that pregnant women and people with disabilities have priority, so I always make sure to let a pregnant woman go ahead of me in line.

I honestly wonder if they'll ever let me cut the line too.😳

In our lab, they actually have separate lines—one for people with disabilities, one for pregnant women, and then everyone else. Though, in practice, it doesn't necessarily mean the pregnant women move faster, since they usually have to wait through about 20 other people being called first anyway.
Paul Diaz602 said:Lately, I’ve just been feeling so incredibly down and frustrated because:
1. My body started dilating at 28 weeks, so now I'm stuck on strict bed rest
2. I’ve already put on 26 pounds, even though I promised myself I’d watch my weight this time around
3. I’ve already spotted two stretch marks popping up on my belly
4. This random rash showed up on my face
5. Dealing with brutal constipation was a nightmare—I actually ended up needing a catheter for a few days because I couldn't go
6. I missed the deadline for filing my paperwork, so my disability benefits won't kick in until next month instead of this one
7. Since I’m stuck in bed and both grandmas are still working full-time, I had to enroll my oldest into preschool
8. I’m spiraling thinking about how she'll adjust... I'm terrified she'll cry for me, and my conscience is just eating me alive
9. My husband is working crazy hours all day, so I really can't count on him for much help right now
11. Since I'm stuck in bed all day, I notice every single speck of dust, but I'm not allowed to clean and nobody else can get here to help
12. My hormones are totally wrecking me; I can't stop crying
13. The weather is finally getting beautiful and sunny, but me and my little girl are trapped inside
14. I haven't bought a single thing or even started prepping for the baby yet, and I have no clue when I'll actually be allowed to move around
15. I am honestly terrified that my cervix will keep dilating and they'll end up admitting me to the hospital for the next two months until I deliver

I am so incredibly sorry you're going through all of this—really, I am. But please, try not to beat yourself up over having to put your little girl in daycare. You aren't doing this by choice; it's just the reality of your situation right now, and you have to prioritize your health.

Jeffrey Lopez31 said:Hey guys!
So, I was on the Pill for 9 years and I actually stopped taking it about 2 months ago. Is it possible for me to have gotten pregnant during these last 2 months? And roughly how long does it usually take to conceive after you quit the Pill?

It’s definitely possible. In fact—and this might sound a bit surprising—there’s actually a higher chance of having multiple births immediately after you stop using oral contraceptives.
Oh, right, I almost forgot to mention—my husband and I were out for a stroll the other evening when we ran into this woman from our neighborhood, though she lives a bit further out than we do. Honestly, the second I spotted her, my first instinct was to just turn around and head the other way, but she caught us before we could make our escape. We tried to be polite, you know, giving her a quick nod and a hello as we kept moving, but then she just had to chime in with some comment about how much weight we’ve both put on! I mean, seriously, what a jerk. She’s one of those classic busybodies who just can't help sticking her nose into everyone else's business, which is exactly why I was trying so hard to just pass by without any unnecessary small talk.
You know, back when I was born, my grandparents—who were working over in Germany at the time—were absolutely over the moon. Since I was their first grandchild, they were celebrating like crazy. But, a few of my grandfather's old colleagues, who had also moved from the old South to work in Germany, actually told them they were being a bit much—sort of implying my grandmother wasn't acting quite right because she was celebrating so intensely, almost as if some kind of miracle child had been born. I suppose they thought it was a bit excessive, mostly because, well, I’m not a boy.

briskmoose90 said:As far as I know, if you miss your pill in week three after having sex that month, two things can happen:
Stop taking the pills immediately. Take a seven-day break, then resume the regular schedule—meaning, don't take that last dose. Or else.
Finish the last pill, then start the next pack immediately. No seven-day break.

If you haven't had any real relationships, just finish this last drink. Take a break. Act like nothing ever happened. 🙂

Yeah, I’ve got a question too. Spoke with my OB-GYN over the phone. Appointment is set for Monday.

Here’s the situation. I'm on Triquilar, which uses that delayed-release packaging. I missed a pill for the first time, and now I have absolutely no clue what day or week it actually is. I’m completely lost. As a result, I started bleeding halfway through the pack—probably because I missed a dose around then, though I can't be certain—and it hasn't stopped. It's been 15 days straight. It's just light spotting, nothing heavy, but it won't quit.

Ginić tells me I have to take a month off. Wait for my regular period to hit, then start on a new pack.

They’re moving me to Logest. 😕

So, he’s a doctor, but I want to hear from you all. What has your experience been like with your physicians? Isn't there supposed to be a rule against taking such short breaks with pills—like only a month? Isn't that hard on a body that's already adjusted to hormones?

He’s juggling these pills, switching me from one to another. Thinking about changing him.

What kind of packaging does Triquilar use these days? When I was on it, I had those little stickers you could attach to the pack, and it clearly showed the day underneath—plus the weeks were color-coded, so I always knew exactly which pill I was taking.

I used Logest after Triquilar too, though I don't quite remember how long of a break I took back then.
Steven Barrett6 said:Look, don't let them get under your skin for no reason.
Not too long ago, someone on one of those women's forums drove me absolutely insane too.
I can't stand people who act like they're some kind of know-it-all 😠 and feel the need to chime in on literally everything.
Everyone’s got an opinion—unless we're talking about actual US federal laws, obviously, because then there's no debate there—but whether someone agrees with you or not is their business. You don't have to go out of your way to shut them down just because they think differently.

I’m right there with you!
It’s especially grating when someone starts lecturing everyone about things that are actually already strictly governed by federal law.
I was just scrolling through a thread about moms taking sick leave to care for their kids, and honestly, one particular user really got my blood pressure up. I think I’m going to stop reading those kinds of discussions altogether.
I had a bit of a frustrating encounter today while waiting for some lab results—though, looking back, it only ruined my mood for a few seconds. I tried to be polite and asked another woman if she was also waiting for her results, only to have her snap at me, basically telling me that yes, she’s waiting too, and that I should just wait my turn. It was a little rude, I guess. Later on, another lady actually stepped in and suggested I shouldn't bother waiting around out in the hall but should probably just go inside and check on the status of the results since the wait was going to be long anyway. Honestly, thank goodness for her! To top it all off, this gentleman—who looked to be at least 65—actually stood up to give me his seat. I felt incredibly awkward about it, really, but I was also secretly relieved because my back was absolutely killing me.
Michael Barrett11 said:It’s always so easy for husbands to claim we’re making a mountain out of a molehill when they aren't the ones actually going through it. 😠

I didn't really care much about my health until I hit the 30-week mark, but now that I've started paying attention, it feels like there's no stopping it. 🙂

But I suppose it's too late to turn back now that everything has already arrived.

"Oh, he has them, he definitely has them!" 🤣My husband actually does have stretch marks—though, to be fair, they're just on his hips and are barely even noticeable—but they are there. They showed up after he went through a period of rapid weight loss.
Rebecca Vaughn7 said:Aaron Garcia36, here’s my take: it's totally possible your cycle is just acting up because of the flu. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. But if I were you? I’d definitely run the test again. That control line shows up regardless of how diluted your urine is; it just proves enough liquid hit the strip, it says nothing about the concentration. One piece of advice: DO NOT waste your money on Gravignost. I've found the cheaper SignTest works fine, and even the pricier IntimPlus is better. However, if you're feeling desperate—and looking at your posts, you clearly are—there is a much better way. It won't cost much more than those kits, and it's 100% accurate: go to a private lab for a blood test to check your beta hCG levels. That’s the hormone produced during pregnancy that all these tests are hunting for, but a blood test doesn't mess around. If you live in a major city, there's bound to be a private lab nearby where you can get this done. You'll usually have the results the same day or the next, and it costs around $130-$$60. In a place like New York, I’d probably head straight to Labcorp (and there are plenty of others), or maybe Quest Diagnostics in a city like Los Angeles; I can't speak for everywhere else.

Good luck, and keep us posted!😉

As for me—I ended up picking up one of those Google mini kits—and even though my period was about five days late, I decided to run the test in the afternoon rather than waiting for that first morning urine. It actually gave me a totally accurate result (I am pregnant!).
You just know, don't you? 😉
