Post-meal jitters/tremors in Health ·
Does this happen after every single meal? How long has this been going on?

It might be something related to blood sugar levels. 🤷
Synthetic adrenaline in Health ·
What exactly do you think some random doctor on a Health subreddit is going to tell you? If you haven't been prescribed a specific treatment plan and aren't under direct medical supervision, there isn't much point in us even discussing this on this sub.

Yeah, abusing steroids, adrenaline, or anything similar can absolutely wreck your body. If someone wants to play fast and loose with their health, that's on them, but I know I wouldn't mess around with stuff like that. 🤷

Benjamin Perez4 said:A few days ago, I was catching up with a buddy of mine—someone who shares my absolute obsession with training—to pick his brain about using Suprarenin as a pre-workout stimulant, and honestly, what he told me left me completely shaken. He mentioned he was mid-way through this absolutely brutal heavy bag session when he just suddenly blacked out, only to wake up hours later with foam at his mouth. Since he was out there grinding alone in his makeshift garage gym, it’s a miracle he landed on his stomach, because if he hadn't, he might have actually choked on his own tongue.

Does anyone here have any insight into what could cause such a sudden loss of consciousness? Could we be looking at a heart attack? I’ve been scouring the internet, but I can't find much reliable information regarding the use of adrenaline-based supplements to push athletic performance. I have heard some stories about young UFC fighters using similar stuff before a big bout to make themselves harder to take down, but I would really value hearing from an actual expert on this.

And what exactly are you looking for? Isn't the story you just told enough?

People pump themselves full of all sorts of junk before they hit the gym, and half the time it isn't even legal.

Besides, where are you even getting this adrenaline? Is a doctor writing you a prescription for it? If so, go ask them your questions and ask about the side effects. If not, then that's the end of the conversation on this forum.
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I’ve heard nothing but great things about Dr. Bosanić. She’s easily one of the top specialists in her field, though word is you’ll be dealing with some pretty massive crowds if you try to see her. 🙂

Why don't you just hit the report button next to her post and explain the situation to the mods instead of just calling someone crazy? 🤷
Hm, you sure something isn't actually biting you? Could it be an allergy to something else—like a new fabric softener, laundry detergent, or even those pajamas you wear? I used to have this thing where my hands and feet would just break out in these tiny bumps, looking like I'd been mauled by some bugs, when really it was just my pajamas. I had two or three identical pairs in different colors. It took me forever to realize there wasn't a single insect in the house; it was just the fabric. Ever since I stopped wearing them, the skin issues vanished. If I accidentally slip one on just to try it out 😁, the reaction comes right back.
Maybe you're dealing with the exact same thing.
I didn't bother with the local pharmacy; I just grabbed what I needed at a Petco. If they're slammed, they won't go out of their way to warn you unless you actually ask. It wasn't my first rodeo dealing with bugs either, but apparently, there was some kind of infestation this time, and I messed up by being too nice to the staff. 😬

Oh man, the itching was hell. My thighs were absolutely shredded from scratching; I lost count of how many bites I had. 🤣 As long as you don't scratch the open wounds and apply something—I used some Benadryl cream, which did the trick 😁—it’s manageable.

Bottom line: if you have chickens and you're using those medicated vials, don't let them sleep in your bed for a night or two. Once the bugs can't bite the birds anymore, they move on to humans and then die off. Until then, you'll be itching your skin off if you aren't careful. 😬
I survived. 🙂

I almost totally blew it. I actually let the little guy sleep in with me that night after giving him a tiny dose of something. He was tossing and turning under the covers, and I felt bad, so I just let him stay. 😬 By morning, things got interesting when I realized exactly what my legs were going through. 🤣

But that only lasts two or three days. 🧐 Until they drop dead. 😁

So, three days ago, I got bit by something. It felt like a mosquito bite, but I’m not buying that. Where would the mosquitoes even be right now in the middle of winter? Besides, I checked my room top to bottom—not a single bug in sight. First, it popped up on my thigh, then my ankle, my stomach, around my chest, and even my arms under the armpits. To top it off, there are a couple of bites clustered together in one spot.
It itches. It just itches.
I just picked up a new cat a few days ago, and now I'm starting to suspect there might be fleas involved. It’s weird, though. I've had cats my whole life and I've never once been bitten by a flea. Usually, they don't bother me at all.

The bites are about half a centimeter wide and they itch just like mosquito bites. Honestly, I have no clue what I'm dealing with here. I already checked the bed, swapped out the sheets for clean ones, and even vacuumed the floor and the mattress, but I woke up this morning with brand new bites anyway. 🤷
Anyone got an idea?🙄

It’s possible they’re fleas. Has your cat had any treatment lately? If not, you can easily grab some topical ampoules at a PetSmart—the budget ones go for maybe $3 or $4, and I use them on my pets all the time; they work just fine. Just apply it to the back of her neck. It handles everything from internal parasites to external pests like fleas. If there are fleas around, they'll be dead within a few days of application, and you'll be set for a couple of months since that's how long the dose lasts.
My cats stay indoors, so I just hit them with treatments twice a year. For outdoor cats, you've gotta be more on top of it—maybe every two or three months.

Finally catching up to this thread. Honestly, there's zero point in discussing this under health—drug use and wellness don't exactly walk hand in hand. I'm locking this.

Lock.
Red rash on my thigh—what could it be? in Health ·
Just go see a doctor, honestly. You'll probably just walk out with some prescription cream. If that doesn't do the trick, they'll send you to a dermatologist. 🙂

Merry Christmas, everyone—a little late to the party on this one. 🙂
Should be, it's a workday. 🙂
Don't go calling me out on this, but if I remember correctly, it used to work like this: a referral for the Cardiovascular Center or similar tests was good for about 15 days—I think that was for those specific black lab slips—while other blood work lasted a month, and anything a specialist wrote directly on their own referral stayed valid for two months.

At least, that’s what I was told. I haven't a clue if they've changed the rules since then.

brightstag11 said:So, a friend of mine was sent for a rheumatism test. She’s wondering how much blood they actually take, and if it matters that she's on her period right now or that she had some drinks on Saturday?

I know it sounds like a pretty dumb question, but I’d really appreciate it if a kind soul could help me out.

What kind of rheumatism test? It depends on what they need to check. If it's just the rheumatoid factor, that's one vial. But if they're doing a full panel, it could be several.

Personally, I try to avoid getting any blood work done while on my period, though I doubt it makes a difference. They’d tell you at the LabCorp if it mattered for the specific test. As for the drinks on Saturday? That's long gone by now. 😁
Question for the moderators in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, it’s all right there in the forum rules: link

.....using alt accounts while any of your main accounts are banned from the Forum, or using multiple accounts to mess with people (like jumping into the same thread with different names to back up your own arguments)

Bottom line: if you're banned, you don't get to use an alt. And if you've already posted on a thread under one name, don't hop in with another one to keep the conversation going. That's how it's always been; it's not some new thing. The only exception is when someone actually ditches their old handle for a new one permanently.

Ladies, I have a quick question for you. Where can I find plain, glossy, pearlescent paper for invitations, and who’s got the best prices? I tried searching through the threads here, but there are way too many pages to sift through without losing my mind. 🙂

I’ve already noted down the golden hand and Hobby Lobby. I’ve picked up a few things from them before, but they tend to be a bit pricey, so if I can't find anything better, I guess I'll just pinch pennies there. I don't need pre-made invitations—just the paper so I can cut it to size myself.

edit: I forgot to mention, I'm looking in Indianapolis. 🙂
