Did you get an antibiogram done? You know, where they take a swab and test which specific antibiotic actually kills the bacteria? If you haven't, do it. Seriously. Guessing and popping antibiotics blindly is just a fast way to make a bad situation even worse.
To be honest, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of someone having a clear spot on their eye. I even tried searching online to see if anyone else had dealt with something similar, but I came up empty.
I woke up this morning in a pool of blood.😲 My underwear, pajamas, everything—sheets included. It didn't hurt, and since I'm on my period right now, I just assumed it was menstrual blood. But there was this massive clot on the pad.
Then a few minutes ago, I rushed to the bathroom and realized I'm bleeding rectally too.😲 Fresh blood. I tried calling my doctor, but they aren't picking up (of course, it's Easter!).
Has anyone dealt with anything like this after a General Electric + RAR procedure? I had surgery 10 days ago. Please, someone talk me down. This isn't supposed to be something serious, right?
Maybe try something milder like Tylenol (Advil, Excedrin...) just to see if it actually helps.
It’s not about getting hooked on pills; it’s about being able to tell your doctor, "Hey, this stuff actually works for the pain."
Honestly, it might be a nerve issue, or maybe some inflammation where things connect near your ribs—that kind of thing. Oh, wait, there’s also something else... I think they called it glucosamine or something similar? People mentioned it to me when I was dealing with this exact same thing.
I had that same pain shooting down my whole side. It didn't matter if I was standing or sitting, but lying down was the absolute worst. Every single breath felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife.

I already saw an orthopedist and got all the imaging done, and they told me my bones look perfectly fine. I'm pretty sure it's something involving a rib and the shoulder blade area—I've heard people talk about a "floating rib," though I'm not totally sure what that entails. It's probably not my spine, though; my back is flawless. And look, even if my doctor insists it can't be my heart, the fact remains that my heart *feels* like it hurts—I know what heart pain feels like. Sometimes it gets so intense I have to hold my breath because inhaling causes this stabbing sensation, so I just take these shallow breaths until it passes. It isn't a massive deal during the day since I feel okay then, but it's a real nuisance at night. It's a problem, for sure, but my only daytime consequence is feeling like a total zombie for the first 20 minutes after I wake up, until I get some sugar in me, stretch out, and finally breathe a bit deeper.
I went through the exact same thing. It was in my ribs, right below the collarbone. Every time I tried to inhale, it felt like someone was driving a knife into me.
Have you tried taking any painkillers to see if they help?
In my case, it felt like a pinched nerve or maybe some inflammation where the ribs connect to the bone, because it eventually just cleared up on its own once I started taking painkillers. I deal with joint issues due to an autoimmune disease, so there's a chance my underlying condition triggered it.
So, have you actually had your hormone levels checked yet? I’m honestly not sure what kind of advice would even be helpful to give you right now.
I think someone mentioned earlier that there are certain vaginal suppositories designed to help with moisture levels—you should probably do a little digging online about those.

Does anyone have any recommendations for creams, body washes, shampoos, or basically anything at all for extremely dry skin?
The issue is my skin is incredibly parched. Because of the dryness, I’ve developed dandruff, which shows up in my eyebrows, inside my ears, and even on the edges of my lips. To make matters worse, I'm dealing with breakouts—which I read can actually be linked to skin being too dry—and whenever I wash my face with warm or hot water, the skin around the pimples starts peeling. When there's a cluster of them, it looks pretty rough.
I feel like I've cycled through every gel, shampoo, and moisturizer on the shelf, but nothing seems to work. Right now, I'm using Dove body wash and a standard facial cleanser, mostly because they advertise having extra moisturizing cream in them.
Thanks in advance for the help.🙂
I deal with super dry skin on my face too. My nose and forehead flake constantly.
For creams, I use Nivea Soft. It’s fantastic because it absorbs really fast without leaving an oily residue. When things get worse and my skin feels extra parched, I slather on some Vaseline. It's much heavier, but it really feeds the skin.
I’ve lived with three cats for years now. Between breathing them in and swallowing hair, based on these horror stories, I should probably be six feet under by now.
Don't listen to all that lady-talk; most of it is just nonsense.
I honestly have no clue, chamomile can be pretty drying, so I’m not sure if it's even a smart move to put it on skin that's already this irritated.
And look, once you finally get in to see the dermatologist, if they tell you to stop putting anything on your face until the inflammation dies down, you're going to have to ditch the foundation and concealer for a bit too. If we're talking about some kind of fungus or bacteria, every time you layer on makeup, you're just spreading it all over your face.
They probably should, but you have to deal with different types of fungi, and honestly, not every cream works on every kind.
The fact that your doctor handed you a whole pharmacy of stuff to smear on your skin and nothing is actually helping makes me think we might be looking at an allergy here. In my opinion, you really need to stop putting everything under the sun on your face just to see if things start calming down. Plus, using foundation right now is just going to clog your pores—or worse, if this is some kind of nasty infection, you might just end up spreading it everywhere.
If it’s spreading that fast and getting worse, just head to the ER.
I honestly don't get why your doctor didn't just send you for some allergy testing to rule things out once and for all. It could be anything—laundry detergent, fabric softener, the type of fabric you're wearing, something in your lotions, body wash, food, dust, dust mites... I could go on until tomorrow listing everything that triggers allergies, especially stuff you can't easily control by just changing your diet or switching up your skincare routine.
